Mr. Thompson and Mr. Peoples were very professional, courteous, and thorough! Called and left a message for an appointment. Within a day, I was contacted by the office to schedule an appointment. As I walked in I was made to feel welcomed. After signing in and completing the necessary forms, I was quickly seated in Mr. Thompson’s office. Mr. Thompson and his colleague, Mr. Peoples were very professional and thorough. After answering their questions and a second look over the paperwork the visit was very timely and efficient. I appreciate the care that these gentlemen put into their work and customer service.

They have been exceptionally helpful. They fixed multiple benefits problems for me way faster than the submissions I did on my own.

They don't evaluate you, but they do a great job advising and assisting with benefits issues.

The buck stops with Terrence Peoples at this office. He is the most knowledgeable and genuinely devoted VA affiliate ive ever met. Most places print out the same packet you could have done yourself. Mr. Peoples will take the time to ensure you understand exactly how to fill out each form and exactly which supporting documents you need.

Thank God for that guy.

I've had great experiences here so far. This is not a Federal VA office, but an office that assists you in getting through the red tape and inefficiencies of Veterans Affairs. My case manager, Mr. Epps, is extremely efficient, thorough and helpful. I recommend not trying to do VA paperwork on your own.

I am a Vet and have been receiving services from this VA Vocational Rehab for 3 years. I've had a great experience with this organization. Talking with many who've used the program, and sending many vets there for services, I have a couple of observations as to why people feel like they haven't been helped.

1. Expectations - VOC Rehab is limited to what they can do for individuals based on the rules, regulations, and guidelines set by the government they have to work within.

2. Benefits - The benefits one receives are based on a number of factors and not everyone is going to receive the same level of benefits. Set your expectations that they will help you receive whatever level of benefits you qualify for when you meet with them and they assess your personal situation.

3. Organization - Make sure you are at the right VA location to get your benefits processed. VOC Rehab, in my experience, is for helping Vets to reestablish themselves in the civilian workforce. They have many programs to do this. For all other VA benefits (medical, filing a claim, post 9-11 GI Bill, family benefits, etc.) you need to go to the Washington Ave office.
