Wilkerson's Seafood Restaurant

Don't get over this way too much. Stopped by since we were close. I'm glad we did. Very nice clean, friendly restaurant. The waitress was great, super helpful, and friendly. They have a large menu selection. Good prices. The food came out quick and delicious. I liked everything about this place. We will be back to try some more menu items.

First time eating at Wilkerson's. We sat in a booth so we could look out over the water. We had 2 cups of oyster stew and a great salad before our dinners arrived. The waitress was a wonderful young lady and very attentive. Dinner was jumbo shrimp for my wife and steamed shrimp for me. The meal was great! Also had hushpuppies for pur bread. Highly recommend Wilkerson's plan on going back for their seafood buffet on a Friday or Saturday night.

Really great service, staff was friendly and service was fast. Had the buffet this round a d it was good. Probably even better during season. Would definitely recommend this place for for some good seafood. Will be stopping by this location again if I get the chance to.

We always have to visit Wilkerson's Seafood when we visit Colonial Beach. Good portions, good food, and great service. Not mention the view is beautiful.

If you’re looking for great seafood for very reasonable prices, you’ve come to the right place. The seafood all tasted fresh and seasoned just right, and the portions were quite large! The restaurant was also near spotless, and had a good view of the river. The complementary hush puppies were also excellent. Overall, Wilkerson’s was well worth the price!

Wilkerson's seafood surprised me. They start off with giving some fresh made hush puppies- delicious!! The Crab cakes were divine as well as the steamed crab legs. You must try the crab dip best in the area by far, perfectly well seasoned!! I really like this spot. The servers are friendly and efficient. This place should definitely be supported!

This is big clean restaurant with friendly and attentive waitress. This place has prime seating for lovely river views. The lunch speacials were $10.95 and comes with plenty of food. The flounder was fresh and nicely cooked. The crab BLT was amazing......plenty of lump crab. I'll definitely be back!

I have passed by Wilkersons a ton of times finally stopped for lunch with my dad very nice decision. Salad bar was good I didn't care for the potato salad and the food came out quick. Finished with a hot fudge brownie sundae. Waitress was sweet. Wish we brought our fishing pole for some fishing around the back of the restaurant.

Older looking place. Clean and bright dining room. Pricing is comparable to other seafood restaurants. Seafood is pricey. The food was superior to most, reminds me of 1970s-80s Lowery's in Tappahannock. Home style seafood and sides in generous portions. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault.

Water views of the creek and Potomac are pretty. There is a pier, people were fishing while we watched.

Get the crab dip appetizer if you don't order any other food.

Hush puppies are served pre-meal as other restaurants serve bread or rolls. I am not a fan of onions, but I didn't notice them if they were in there. They were perfectly delicious with the crab dip spooned on top.

Seafood buffet was not available on Monday, when we were there for our anniversary. Buffet is Saturday and Sunday only according to their signage.

Salad bar was kind of small, but tasty with the usual favorites and dressings and also in house homemade cole slaw, potato salad and macaroni salad.

I got one of the specials, the scallops and crab stuffed shrimp. I chose broiled, but it was also available fried. Every bite was delicious. So much food that I took half of it home.

My husband got the seafood platter, shrimp, fish, scallops and a crabcake, I think. He ordered the fried platter, but broiled was also available. He cleaned the plate before I was able to sneak a taste of anything.

We both ordered strawberry milkshakes to go as our dessert.

Waitresses were so sweet and attentive to us. Splurge and just go try them.

Wilkerson's always a great place to dine. Seevice was great, and their seafood is excellent. Hush puppies are the beat. You honestly could make a meal out of the puppies alone. Restaurant is clean and awesome view of the Potomac River. Definitely will be back!

A shoutout to waitress Melissa who went above and beyond for our Aunt’s 83rd birthday celebration. She lives in Baltimore, Maryland there are a lot of restaurants to pick from I chose Wilkerson’s because I live in Virginia and love their seafood especially the crab cakes. Melissa was spot on getting everybody’s order and not upset when I told her I had to add some more to my list she just said no problem . No matter what I asked of her she didn’t hesitate to provide with a beautiful smile always. Coming back to the tables before you could ask for something she already had it as if she could read your mind . Melissa you truly made my Aunt’s birthday special , my family members texted me said on their way home about the waitress was so nice along with the food being good. I knew I picked the right restaurant to go to but little did I know there was a Jewel working there by the name of Melissa. I will spread the word about your restaurant and the service our family received.

I was driving, came upon this busy location, had to stop. I saw a captivating water view, that forced me to stop, even though the parking appeared to be at capacity. Met one of the locals fishing, who had taken a break from the heat of the day, and we noticed a nice river breeze was over- taking the shoreline.

The Fried Scallops are wonderful! I've never had them fried and I'm a huge fried shrimp lover, and that was delicious too! But the fried scallops were amazing.

You get one trip to the salad bar. The potatoes salad and macaroni salad are outstanding.

The view is so relaxing. The restaurant is very casual and unpretentious. The staff was wonderful. I can't wait to go back.

I have been coming to Wilkerson's since I was a Young boy, now I am 53 and still love the atmosphere the food the view and everything about Wilkerson's. If you haven't been there yet I highly recommend Going there. They have some of the best seafood and the best steaks that I've ever had along with an amazing salad bar. Super friendly staff and a amazing view of the Potomac river. Jay

Great local spot for seafood. This place is a must when visiting colonial beach. They keep bringing hush puppies on the house that are just ridiculously good. Great service, great food, great drinks! Keep up the great work!

I really loved this place! We ordered a lunch special combo and were pleased that it was so good and such a good portion. I expected something smaller since it's seafood and lunch special price but to my surprise it was a lot of tasty food!! I will definitely go back! Service was very good too!! The pic was taken after I had started eating already so you can see it's a good size!

Spotlessly clean, waterfront view, service prompt and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty, It was our first visit and we’ll definitely be returning. Not a fancy place, more family oriented, reminds me of a smaller version of Basnight’s on the Outer Banks. That’s a good thing.

Nice view, hot food, good people! We enjoyed our visit one Saturday to Wilkerson's where we enjoyed the seafood and salad buffet. The crab cakes, fried fish, gratin, and more were all tasty and hot. Price was reasonable and your treated to a nice view of the water. The restaurant has a classic feel and the people were very friendly. Would go back if we're in the area again
