Camp High Sierra

We stayed 3 nights here with a few other couples, kiddos & pets. There are several clean bathrooms throughout the property & also free, hot showers. Close distance to town. It is a bit challenging to make a reservation since you have to call the mammoth hotline. It was quiet & all other campers were respectful. A lot of kids & a lot of pets. Great first time here!

A nice campground. What makes this place stand out is that they have hot showers and clean bathrooms, and also the service. Be aware that the campground handles same-day reservations only in person at the registration office. Unfortunately the day after July 4 the registration office wasn't staffed until later in the day (very much forgivable, though a note *should've* been posted), and so we weren't able to extend our stay by another night as we wanted before leaving for a day hike. However, we're decided to leave our tents set up at our site, and I left them a phone message asking to extend our stay. They graciously called me back after a few hours to let me know they had put a hold on a different site that was available for the night. When we came back, Jason at the registration walked up to our new camp site and told us he had rearranged the sites and moved us back to our original site in their system so we wouldn't have to move our tents. I love this level of care, and we will happily stay here again! Thank you, Jason!

Years and years of camping in the Sierras and I can confidently say this was the best campsite experience we’ve ever had. Amazing spots, really nice restrooms, and really cool facilities. Definitely stay here if you need a safe camping space!

We stayed here for four nights and loved it. We had a shady spot close to the office, bathrooms, and showers. Will definitely return!! Great location - basically right in the middle of the Village and Lake Mary. Staff was friendly and helpful. Game room was large and perfect for kids. Will definitely return!!

We stayed at a tent site during Labor Day weekend. The campsites are spacious. Bathrooms are clean, showers are hot. Staff is friendly. The kids loved the game room.

This place was amazing. This review is actually a bit late. We camped here last month, July. Just an overnight stay. But man, oh man! So many bear sightings! It was pretty epic. The staff was amazing from the start. Joked around with us, made us feel welcomed. They came to our campsite to to discuss Billy the bear. We spotted him breaking into a cooler at a neighboring campsite and alerted staff. But staff was quick to get eyes on the bear, make their presence felt throughout the grounds in order to ensure everyone that this is a known bear and all is well. Good job staff! The grounds were very clean. Bathrooms were as clean as they can be and stocked. Will definitely be booking here again.

Beautiful camp ground with clean hot showers

The road going down is a bit rough but it's well worth it. Lady in the front office was so pleasant and nice, the shower house was very nice. Tent spots were very nice, we had number 40, tent only spot, right by a lovely stream and we were all alone back there, which was great. So quiet.

This place is truly amazing. I’ve been camping here since I was little. It’s a beautiful location to stay at and I highly recommend. In mamoth there are many beautiful hiking trails as well so I’d definitely suggest going t o stay here

This place is fantastic! The people and staff here are so friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms and campsites are clean and well-kept! The campground is close to everything, with excellent hiking trails and biking trails nearby.

I came here with my boyfriend one summer and we LOVED it. It was peaceful, gorgeous tall trees surrounding the area, clean showers (with hot water) and bathrooms. Has a very family friendly vibe to it as well! We are trying to go back ASAP. It is also close to everything!

You would never know that you’re in the center of Mammoth until you leave. Very cozy place and large facilities with showers and bathrooms and also a game room for the kids to play at.

Got to give this 5 stars . Had a terrible experience because an out side source books the campsites. They allowed extremely rowdy guests. About a 100 of them . OUCH! ! The worst 3 nites i have spent anywhere. I was there 5 nites.
The staff saved the trip with thr3ir kind words and actions. What a terrific job of hiring the most competent people. Very attentive to everything important. We will be back.

Had a great time camping here! Just a beautiful area! They have showers with hot water yeah! If your camping there, showers are free! Fire pits and camp tables at camping the sites.

I usually like camping somewhere on one the lakes but this campsite is very nice very well kept lots of shade and warm showers can't beat it

Very rustic, the way camping should be. Clean and has showers and flushable toilets! I have been coming here every summer with my family.

This is a secluded feeling campground that is still right in town. Located in a heavily tree laden area. Quiet nights. Showers and restrooms.

Loved our camp site it was right next to the stream. The rangers were nice, the restroom & showers great.
