I had the green enchiladas they were delicious you can get one chicken one shredded beef for swap them however you'd like
Also had the grilled fish Tacos which were quite tasty as well.
Both plates were automatically served with rice and beans and we cannot forget the complimentary chips and salsa the chips were nice warm and fresh

Self-proclaimed burrito conosour and the burritos from Robertos Cafe are among the best I've ever had. This thing is a tank, and it will make you happy you chose to come here. The service was a 10/10, very friendly and accommodating.

This restaurant is so underrated on Google review! I came in hungry after a long drive and they serve warm chips and salsa when I started ordering food. I was hungry and the server was generous to do refills. What’s more exciting is the food (big portion) and it’s very tasty. We ordered Larry’s salad & shrimp fajita. Both have tons of guacamole on the top. The salad is hot and satisfying to have during a cold night. Great service! Fantastic food! Only downside is hard to find parking spaces. Highly recommend to drop by Roberto’s!

The shrimp fajita here is an absolute standout! It's not only incredibly tender but also bursting with flavors that go beyond delicious—it's a taste sensation. The dish itself emanates a heavenly aroma that sets the mood just right. The guacamole served on the side is a perfect complement, adding to the overall delightful experience.

Planning to spend two nights here, and after the fantastic first experience, we're undoubtedly coming back for more. My partner opted for the plate with beef enchiladas, and they were equally savory and satisfying. We both rate this place 10/10 for the mouthwatering food and overall dining experience. Highly recommended!

Excellent Mexican food in the heart of the mountain!

This place was recommended to us by a random stranger we met while warming around the fire pit in the village. About 2 nights later we decided to check it out.

We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the quality of every dish we tried. But woefully unprepared for the quantity of the bounty that was set before us.

What we ordered: 1 cup of albondigas soup, 1 cup of pollo y arroz, 2 flauta plate with 1 beef, 1 chicken, all rice, no beans and no guacamole or sour cream, and an a la carte shrimp taco.

First and most importantly: everything came precisely as requested.

The soups were amazing. You can taste the quality in the broth and I easily could have eaten these as a meal unto itself. They were both so delicious. Both my wife and I said “wow” upon the first drop of soup hitting our tongues.

Then the main course arrived. And we realized we had made a grave mistake. A delicious, yet grave mistake. And we don’t regret it for one second.

The flauta were huge. I was expecting something small, like a taquito size, that’s the size of flauta I’m familiar with. These flautas were each about the size of half of a burrito. In the picture I included a full size knife for scale.

I cut them in half and we each had half of each flauta. My wife had the shrimp taco to herself.

So once we got past the size, we got to the taste. Just perfect. The meat was flavorful just by itself. Mixed with the rest of everything was just great. I cannot recommend this enough. My wife also greatly enjoyed her taco, but due to the quantity of food, ended up just eating the filling of the taco and leaving the tortilla behind, just too much food.

The rice was also very flavorful just by itself. I could probably just enjoy the rice if I had nothing else, and for me, that’s saying a LOT, I usually find rice to be somewhat bland and just have it to fill out the plate, this definitely complemented the dish.

The salsa with the chips was excellent, and a nice medium heat. The chips was literally the only thing I would improve, and that is a very minor improvement to make, they needed more salt, that’s it. Just a touch more salt.

If you want Mexican, take the drive to Roberto’s cafe. You will NOT be disappointed.

Our family has a cabin on Silver Lake, about 40 min from Mammoth. We come to Mammoth often and live eating at Roberto’s. There’s always a wait but that’s ok because we like their food. The service is good and it’s always clean.

This is THE place to go if you're craving mexican food in mammoth. There was a crowd of people waiting to be seated, but bc it's 2 stories, the wait was quick. The menu is large(but not too large) and has something for everyone. The portions are huge... we split a relleno and enchilada which were both super tasty. Another menu highlight was the el jefe burrito- it was as big as my forearm and delicious. My 18 yr old with a hearty appetite couldn't finish it and had yummy leftovers for the next day. In addition to the good food, the margs were good and the prices were very reasonable for a touristy town. The only thing I didn't love was the guacamole, but growing up in san diego has made me a bit of a guacamole snob😆

Awesome place for Mexican cuisine and seafood lovers.
I really loved fish and shrimp tacos they were perfectly cooked and was big enough.
Chicken Quesadillas was another level yummiest ever I had.
I was pretty full with that.
We tried TOSTADA DEL MUNDO which was a lot.
In drinks I has pomerita cocktail👌🏼and a jarritos.
During weekends or long weekends this place may have long queues to get in. But it won’t take longer than 30mins or less.

we came for happy hour and were so satisfied with the quality of the food, the amazing margaritas, and the service!! Absolutely recommend stopping in for their chorizo fries and wings & margs- everything was delicious and I enjoyed every last thing about this establishment. If you’re in mammoth, this shouldn’t be a miss!!! Would love to come in for their regular menu sometime based on the quality of their HH offerings alone!

Food delivered in the fastest time in my life with travels around world. Large portions and high quality. Enough for a 2nd meal the next day after the slopes. Got there around 530 pm on a Thursday and missed the rush. Huge line on our way out.

Lobster Taquitos with a mango salsa is great. Highly recommended. They also have a duck burrito that is good too.

If you want authentic Mexican food in the middle of the Sierra mountains then Roberto's is the place to go. The dishes are very favorable and more than the average person can eat at a reasonable price.

I can’t believe this place! I’m a few bites into my meal and I’m anxious to leave a review. I walked right in, got a seat. Fast water, fast drinks and super fast food. Salsa was a bit spicy, but that’s how I love it. I tried the chicken soup. Better than amazing. I had the chicken fajita dinner and my expectations have been exceeded. This is your best option

Just delicious, we had our dog with us and were seated on the patio right away. Nicely shaded, more food than I could eat.

Plates portions are big and super tasty. Everything was so fresh and food came out quickly. I had the Stuffed Shrimp Chille Relleno and it's the best Chille Relleno I have ever had. The decoration was amazing. It's a popular place so it's better to plan to put your name on the wait-list an hour and half prior to your dinner plans. They will text when your table is ready.

Super yummy Mexican food. I tasted the carnitas plate. It didn’t disappoint. I had already started on the plate when I took the pic. service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Chips and salsa were a great starter.

Ample parking. Give them a shot.
