Great camp sites. Friendly host and friendly people at the convenience store located within walking distance from all the sites. Shower price is a bit steep, but convenience is always pricey. Bathrooms were cleaned daily.

The rooms at the lodge are comfortable but small and don't have attached bathrooms/toilets. The cottages are a better option for a family. The lodge itself is a 100 years old and quaint. Love the atmosphere and ambiance, and you couldn't beat the location or the views of mammoth mountain and the surrounding areas.

Just right behind Tamarack cabin in Mammoth, very nice campground, extremely clean bathroom, not too far from general store and close to the lake. Unfortunately I have no luck with fish, I didn’t see any bear around the camp but I was told to put away any food and other strong smell in the bear box.

The camp hosts were delightful not to mention the incredibly clean and maintained facilities. Beautiful lakes and great trails.

Bathrooms where very clean and well kept, trash taken out twice a day. The camp host came by often and asked how we where doing, their black lab Buddy was super friendly and they walked him by having him off leash walking/trotting next to the golf cart. He was very cute. Very dog friendly and very nice. Cheap sites for weekend, honor policy with firewood, $8 or $30 for 4 bundles. Wood lasted all weekend with extra.

Wow what a great place!! This place is BIG & BEAUTIFUL with lots of campsites both with hook-ups and those for dry camping. The camp store was stocked with just about everything and the gift shop was full of fun stuff to buy! The lake’s are big and full of fish. We rented a boat and caught many trout. Our rv neighbors were very friendly and many of the others campers were too! The restaurant and bar were both a welcome sight, nice staff and they even cooked our trout with all the sides to enjoy- it was delicious! I would highly recommend this campground to anyone who is willing to make to drive. Note - we were off grid with no phone service while staying but that was our choice because there are options to access WiFi with a fee.

We live this campground. Quiet, secluded yet close to town, lake is incredible and hiking nearby. Just sharing, we walked it on 7/2/23, and confirming it’s closed with good reason. Still some snow but very site has downed trees, ponds of water, sunken tables and fire pits…based on observations it will be at least a month before it’s ready for camping!

The campground is very nice. The host is friendly. The bathroom is clean. We enjoyed our stay here. The twin lakes are smaller than I thought but the view is beautiful. Must go to the twin fall overlook! The bike trail is awesome and we’ll be back in spring.

Beautiful campground. Fantastic view of the lakes, falls, Panorama Dome, and caves. Lots of caves, lots of bears. They'll come visit day and night. Please put away everything after every meal.
Campground hosts Mary, Jim, and Adam are very nice and helpful.
There's showers in the general store as well as dump station next to it. Mammoth lakes basin bike path goes through this campground. It will take you around the area and nearby lakes. Trailhead in camp for short hikes.
Dog owners, your dogs are beautiful, but part of your love is to pick up their poop. Please be considerate of children playing and people walking who might step on digested dog food. 🐕

Beautiful campground with lots of shade! Clean bathrooms. Easy to navigate. Not much luck fishing, but we're coming back in a few weeks for another stay.

Absolutely beautiful campground on the shore of twin lakes. The sites are clean and spacious with convenient restrooms throughout the campground. The roads and campsites are lined with stumps which can make it very challenging getting large rvs or trailers into campsites. Turning radius is tight for many sites. Camp hosts are awesome and the location cannot be beat. There are trails all around and close access to numerous restaurants in mammoth. Tons of excellent bike paths are connected to the campground and safe for children.

Awesome campground with beautiful waterfall and a ton of birding opportunities. I had 2 different campsites here and there were in great condition. I really liked that there is flushing toilets and running water spigots nearby. The sites were well spaced apart and I had a lot of privacy between my neighbors. The general offers canoe and kayak rentals and there is plenty of opportunities to hike within near the campground and fish. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to camp in the Mammoth Lakes area. Got some great star photography in too. Surprisingly not too buggy given the proximity to the lake.

When we arrived at the campground it snowed the night before so the temperature was below zero. I'm glad I have brought Mr. Buddy heater to keep us warm inside our tent although I still underestimated the cold because the wind was strong which getting out of our tent was definitely not cool idea. Lol. Luckily the site (#002) I booked is closer to the restroom and bonfire was allowed. I would say I enjoyed our camping experience at Twin Lakes especially with the snow that makes the view even more beautiful and we just have a very good feeling being in the nature. We also drive around Mammoth Lakes and visited many places (hot springs!!) so our 2 night stay in the freezing cold was really worth it.

Stayed here two nights with friends & family in our tents. The waterfall generates enough white noise that you feel that you are the only ones camping. Even though it was booked solid we never heard a single sound from another campsite.

USE THE BEAR BOXES!! Our first night we were woken up to the sound of one trying to break a bear 🐻 box open. Although you may not see them, they are EVERYWHERE & are pretty good are being very quiet.

The water is nice & clear as no motorized watercraft is allowed. My kids really enjoyed the freedom of being able to pop their Paddleboards in the water & cruise around exploring.

We will definitely be back again.

We stayed here two nights and had a really great time. It was a pretty busy, but quite campground. The camp host was friendly and helpful, and store staff were also very nice. If you have a chance, walk over to the base of the waterfall across from the campground, it is a beautiful spot!

Beautiful place to visit. With an elevation of 8700 feet, Twin Lakes has fresh air and lots of trails to walk, bike and hike. The lakes are great for Trout fishing. Witnessed several people catching 4 to 7 pound rainbow trout on upper Twin lake near the falls. Also, if you camp here, the bears visit twice a day - early at dawn and again at dusk. They don't harm anyone. Just keep all your food in bear containers. The folks at the General Store are most helpful and very friendly. Made me feel like I was visiting the midwest with the family like atmosphere.

It is a wonderful campground. Modern bathrooms. Right next to beautiful twin lakes.
I got unlucky with site no 88. It is too steep. Only experienced Trailer drivers can back in. Pop up trailers can back in but biggest ones will have serious problems. Leveling is almost impossible. So avoid site 88

We stayed there for 2 nights. Nature was stunning especially the waterfall. It was cold in the night and have some more blanket if you’re staying.

We had a really good time here, the lake is close at hand, the bugs were almost nonexistent and the bears were plenty (Make sure to follow bear guidelines to a tee, and you shouldn't have any issues). Bathrooms are clean and well kept.

Plenty of things to do without getting in the car and driving. Fishing, hiking, biking. Met lots of nice folks here and had a great week, will return next summer for sure!
