Best campground in Mammoth Lakes. The campsites are spacious and shaded. The camp hosts are cool. The bathrooms are clean and have flushing toilets. No showers. You have to go to twin lakes for that. There is a bear that shows up often. Twin falls is a short walk away. We had a great camping experience.

Great area to camp. Enjoy hiking or lake for all ages. Please keep mammoth clean and take care of your trash. Also be careful of animal 🐻 neighbors. They are hungry especially during drought years and will wander into your camp or picnic. Thankfully the kayakers warned us the bear was up shore walking our way. We split by the time the bear joined our noon sando's by the lake. Dont feed the bears.

Beautiful campground nestled in the Mammoth Lakes area of the Eastern Sierra @ 8500ft.

No hookups or camp dump station but camp bathrooms are clean with running water. Each site is well maintained. RV Setup is on asphalt. Tent camp under shaded pine trees with picnic table, fire ring and bear box. Camp Host are super nice and friendly.

This place is absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were great and the views were amazing. One of the mornings before sunrise we were down at the lake when a bear snuck up on us... we were frozen and scared as it walked right by us so close I could have touched it. Luckily the bear wasn't interested in us and just kept walking. Great memories were made here and can't wait to return.

A Mammoth experience! No showers but great hiking, views and lots of lakes to do water activities. Mary Lake is near multiple other lakes only miles apart. Lots of hiking and biking. Horseshoe lake is a great spot to take the dogs. Crystal lake hiking trail had great views!

Couldn't reserve a spot online so I decided to try my luck and I still went hoping to find an open spot. We got lucky and found an open space on a saturday morning. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. It rained both days we were there for about an hour or two. The second day a bear and her cubs walked into our campground in the middle of the night with all of us there around the campfire. Definately lock up all food right away as they will walk right in with no fear if they smell food. Besides the bear scare the views were amazing and I would definately recommend checking this place out.

Great place to hang out for the day. We did some paddle boarding and hiking. Bathrooms close by, a little crowed but that didn’t distract from our day.

Great protected area all seasons. Part of tamarack XC ski center in the winter months. In summer, once open, camping available, and day use, paddle boarding, equestrian trails, hiking, all biking types, catch and release fishing with license, paved bike path that goes to horseshoe lake and back down to the village. Bike path cleared in summer only. There are also two marinas open in the summer. Camp fires in designated areas only please. Great view of the crest and Sherwins as.well as some good spots to see Crowley lake. Plan accordingly as parking is limited in all seasons, trolley and bus goes to and from town (yellow line I believe)

What can I say for my first time camping. I can't complain since this has been the first campground I ever experience.

And the lake, WOW!!! What an amazing view, and OMG I saw stars in the sky. I live in DTLA, I never get to see them so sitting in the dark looking up into the sky felt like heaven!!!

Beautiful place. Beware the transient rvers who bait Bears into your camp then leave and their second parties show up with $10,000 camera lenses to take pictures of invading bears. They get their pics and leave you with the bear for the rest of the days. Greedy people don't care about you

There is so much to do here! There's also sooo many camp grounds, and cabins to rent! I'd recommend this place to anyone, especially big families with kids! There's a mama bear with cubs that love the area as much as we all do! Be smart about where you leave your food and lotions etc. And enjoy the great pictures! They're adorable!

Hosts here were amazing. Always do your research before heading to a campsite or you will ruin your own trip! If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Caught a couple of trout in lake mary. Great camp. Great views.

It is almost guaranteed to see a bear here. Theres always that one group who doesnt take the bear box rule serious and ends up with a bear in their campsite at night. Pay attention to the rules and the bears will just walk by.
