Spacious wooded area with sparkling creek running through. Be sensible about bears, they do show up. Birds and squirrels/chipmunks to see. Good access, we have 41' 5th wheel RV. Stop near notice board and walk over to host for directions, John knows what will suit you. No hookups. Great outdoor feel, firepits, pets on leash, pit toilets.
Starry nights. Donation to stay $10 or more ! Well worth it.

Really liked Glass Creek, the campsites are nice with tables, pits and Bear boxes. Great place to walk and enjoy nature. Pet friendly as well. Small creek nearby. I will return.

We went to Glass Creek Campground and John the camp host helped us find an available spot on what was a really busy weekend! He with a busy weekend going on made us a priority to land our rig. Once set up we had a great time enjoying the great outdoors of the beautiful eastern side of the Sierras!! Thanks John!!

Great campground, well maintained and far enough from the road but very accessible. We tent camped here and we’re never bothered by noise or anything for our 3 nights despite the majority of sites occupied by campers and atvs. There are vault toilets which are very clean (help keep them that way), no trash (pack out), keep food in bear vault (1 at every site), no electricity, and no running water (easy access to creek). Help out with maintenance by donating or picking up trash. We definitely will be coming back, gem of a place.

Probably the best campground to spend the trip at. The people were quiet and peaceful huge spaces for your RV. And the two best things about it has a ohv from dirt bikes to utvs with really long trails to never get bored. And for a bonus it has a little creek to go and have fun. 10/10 would recommend going especially if you own dirt bikes, ATV, and UTV

This campground is amazing- free camping you can donate if you like, huge sites, beautiful area, creek running thru the campground, camp host on site, and best of all ohv friendly dirtbikes, atvs, and utvs. Vault toilets but no water or trash service so pack it in pack it out keep it clean for everyone. Close to Mammoth and June Lake

The best campground so far, toilet, and the surrounding are super clean. Awsome area, can't hear generator running. ATT signals are good with connection. Remote control your work while camping is what I like. Best off all it is free and you could donate all you want.

Such a beautiful and FREE campground, the best we’ve seen so far. The surrounding nature is just amazing and so peaceful. This is the best place to stay when visiting Yosemite the next day. Also the restrooms (pit toilets) are very very clean and even cleaner then most of the restrooms I’ve seen in campgrounds that cost.
Camping spots are HUGE!

This is probably the best camping in the Inyo National forest.
Thanks to Phill, the Camp Host and Mike the Ranger that opened the Campground early so we could stay there. This is a free Campground ⛺
Please keep it clean and litter free.

i have been going up to the Eastern Sierra for a very long time and stumbled upon Glass Creek Campground a few years back. Now, I stay at Glass creek every chance I get. Its a great campground that does get pretty busy at times.

The camp host, John, is amazing. Ive seen some people complain about it but in my experience, if you just follow the rules and are a respectful camper you will have no problems with him.

My first time there was 1963 when I was a kid. My parents took us up there at least twice a year the whole time I was growing up. As I did with my kids. It's a special place and I've heard others say the same thing. It's where I caught my first fish.

Cool huge campgrounds with vault clean toilets. No water/ garbage. There's so many places to camp here. Lots of trails and a beautiful little creek that runs between two campgrounds. " Be bear aware" signs posted. 4 days and no Yogi yet. Camp host very friendly aswell as the distance neighbors.

Such a great and beautiful campsite! One of the best I’ve ever stayed at, and that’s saying something cause I’ve done a lot of camping! The bathrooms are easily the cleanest I’ve seen at a campground, they smell clean and are always picked up and stocked with toilet paper and the host makes sure to keep it that way. Highly recommend this place… thank John for being such a great host and caring about the grounds!

Beautiful campground! Bathrooms were clean and always had tp. There are no showers though. And you have to throw trash away at the rest stop near the campground! I picked up too much litter out there, if you pack it in, pack it out!
