Newellstown Diner

We drove an hour and twenty five minutes to get to the Ohio Valley Mall to visit Sam Goody and saw this little diner in St. Clairsville. We picked this place to eat and we were not disappointed. Small town, down home atmosphere. Awesome food.and a white board you can sign your name and where you’re visiting from that they put on the wall, We will be visiting this little place again.

Legitimately the best burger that I have ever had . This place is the kind of slice of Americana that you just can’t find anymore . Beautiful small town atmosphere , delicious food, fair prices , and friendly staff . I inquired about the price of one of the hats they had on display and they were nice enough to give me the hat for free. I cannot speak highly enough about this place and whenever I am in the area for business I will be eating my lunch there . Wish I could give more than 5 stars .

Went with my girlfriend today, our first time eating here. She got the Club Sandwich and I decided to get a double burger. Wasn't sure how big the burgers were so got a double just in case. Needless to say, the single would have been plenty lol. Was very impressed. Good portions for the price and food tasted great! Very nice small town diner type of feel to the restaurant. Service was very good. Definitely will be going back in the future!

Such a great small town diner. I always love everything I try here. Taco are seasoned well and the homemade Chips are delicious. The burgers are big, handmade and juicy. The daily specials are always a great choice. The service is super friendly.
Had the colemans fish today, it was wonderful and my husband had the turkey club and said it was the best he ever had! Keep up the good work guys 😁

Stopped on our way through. All the way from the west coast and i would have to say that this diner was by far one of the best places we have eaten in awhile. The food, atmosphere and customer service was phenomenal. Also, the locals(regulars) were very kind!

This place is AMAZING!!! when you walk in the door it's like walking into the 70's!!! Food is amazing!!! If your debating on getting the chili?!? GET IT!!!! OHHH and the biscuits and gravy are PHENOMENAL!!! It's easily one of the best chili's I've ever had! Would LOVE to come here again!!

This place is a little gem for breakfast. Good simple food at reasonable prices, great service, and a cool retro diner atmosphere. This is a regular breakfast date for my hubby and me.

Stopped in on our way home from out of state. The food was very good we had great service!

These are THE BEST garlic parmesan wings in the Ohio Valley. Perfect crisp, great size, and the perfect amount of seasoning in the container. The hot are great as well, but the garlic parmesan is just special. The only thing that would make them better is if they made their own ranch.

This is an amazing hidden jewel. The owner is so peronable and our burgers were great!

If you want to relax and have great food and atmosphere this is your place, my wife and I ordered the double burger with fries and my mother-in-law ordered the Coleman's Fish, everything was delicious. I like the 50's style decor and we plan on making this a regular stop for lunch, also they are only open until 2pm so plan accordingly

I just had lunch here and I was served by the most amazing server ever, I think her name was Katie. She was so amazing, it was my first experience here and I will definitely come back. I highly recommend this little cute restaurant if you are in town. I wish this place existed in my hometown.

Old Town diner charm with great food and prices

Ok. I friggin love pancakes, ok? Every time I go anywhere I get pancakes cuz they make me happy.

I have traveled the country. I have eaten pancakes everywhere. Every. Where. Hawaii. They have pancakes. So does New York in time square. They make em there too. But.

THIS PLACE, the Newellwtown Diner, has the best pancake I have ever had. It is the best pancake on planet earth. Go to this place. If they say, “hey do you want the eggs or omelette” or whatever, you say, “bring me those pancakes that man on the internet told me about.” They will say ok, assuming they are not sold out of the best pancake ever.

Then, you will eat the best pancake ever in St Clairesville and you will wonder why this place isn’t the capital of The USA. You’ll wonder why anyone would go anywhere else for pancakes who lives in a 3 hour radius. You’ll think of all the fun times you had as a kid and will also believe that no time is better than right now because of, you guessed it, the pancake you are eating right now.

Go get these pancakes.

Also, bring a friend. They will become a better friend. Like bring a middle of the road friend with whom you have a good but not yet fully developed relationship yet. Bank your reputation on this pancake. Your relationship will go from good to great.

I didn't really get to eat here, was in St. Clairsville for the Christmas Parade. The kitchen was closed for the regular menu, but they sold hot dogs, hot chocolate, and coffee. I had a hot dog and a coffee. It was good, and refreshing on a cold day. Staff were wonderful, and a joy to talk with. I'm hoping to stop in to try something from their regular menu next time I am in St. Clairsville. The diner felt cozy and comfortable, and was a kind of a throwback to the old days. Loved the feeling of being in there.

Was a very pleasant experience. Good homemade food hometown feel for sure
