Holiday Inn Express & Suites Monroe, an IHG Hotel

We stay at alot of HIs, this is by far one of the better ones. Very friendly, great service and the breakfast is top notch. Very very nice lady "Jenny Jones" running the breakfast and very clean area with multiple choices!!

Hard working manager was very accommodating! We stayed in a dog friendly room that was perfect. Our room was comfortable and spotless & b’fast was great! Thanks!’

I stayed here for one night back in May. Clean room. I got a good nights sleep, a hot shower in the morning and a hot buffet breakfast. Staff was very helpful. I would come back again.

Good spot and close to Fermi nuclear power plant.

Angelos chop is a stones throw away and can't miss a dinner there.

Nice rooms with lots of flat surfaces for storage. The rooms had comfortable beds and sheets. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was much better than typical hotels in both quality and variety. Warm cinnamon rolls were an especially nice suprise. Less important to me but worth noting, the pool was not great, no hot tub, so much chlorine that even the air burned our eyes, and was too cold.

The staff were so accommodating and so friendly. Very professional! The rooms were very clean, and the bathrooms were as well. The complimentary Dove soaps and shampoos were a nice surprise (I don’t usually use hotel shampoos etc..) but these were so nice I couldn’t resist lol. We have family in the area and if needed, I would definitely stay here again. No complaints whatsoever.

What a great CLEAN hotel! All I can do is talk about my experience and it was great! It was a pleasant surprise!! Check in was smooth Hassel free. The room was decorated beautifully And had all new and updated furniture. Bathroom was very nice! Omgosh the bed and linens where soooo comfortable I couldnt wait to lay down lol . Breakfast was decent too!!! They have the best hot cinnamon rolls I ever had at any hotel for free.... they were a hit. So I definitely recommend this hotel. I'm glad I'm a IGH rewards member.

We stayed here a couple of nights while we were in town for a funeral. The staff was so friendly, and helpful. The hotel was very nice, and clean. Our room was very clean and the sheets were amazing! Breakfast was very yummy with lots to choose from!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and amazing breakfast!

I spoke with the GM here about the issue. He quickly assured me what I was told was not the policy. Since speaking with him, the rooms have been cleaned daily. They do have an excellent hot breakfast . I am changing my review to a 5 star. The GM made sure everything was put right.

Staff was very helpful, addressed my needs. Check in and out was smooth, the beds are amazing, room temperature is good. Breakfast was a hot breakfast with many choices. The girl who prepared the food was very helpful clean and sweet. Overall everything was good. And pool, gym are open to use.

Stayed there for two weeks last October, and I was pleasantly surprised. Very spacious clean and quiet rooms with large bathrooms and plain but new style decor. Nice gym and pool. Great breakfast as well. It was a very enjoyable stay compared to most other hotels I've stayed at.

The staff here were awesome. A gentlemen at the front desk, named Nikko I believe, was super helpful. The room was modern and equipped with everything we needed. The pool was heated and the gym’s right behind so I could workout and keep an eye on my daughter in the pool. The breakfast, surprisingly, was actually good. Usually hotel breakfast is terrible IMO

This hotel is an excellent choice! We stayed in the executive suite that has the personal in-room jacuzzi and it was all the we had hoped it would be and more! The bed was very comfortable unlike many other hotels. Overall, the hotel was very clean and up to date.This hotel is about 30 min away from the Hollywood Casino Toledo (great location!) and has plenty of food options in the surrounding area. I will come back to this hotel in the future as a simple relaxing get away.

Melissa and Nico (sp?)are amazing. We had reservations made online at a different hotel in Monroe and wow...the photos weren't true.
We came here and were beyond taken care of. This is family friendly, clean and actually true to photos.
We will now always stay here due to the friendliness and cleanliness of this hotel.
Anything you need they do not give an attitude or make it like you're annoying them like other places.
Family friendly. Fun, clean, friendly and just a breath of fresh air from the garbage place they saved us from.

This is really a great place to stay!!!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Monroe, MI. for two days due to having car trouble while traveling.
First of all the hotel was very clean and inviting. The room was spotlessly clean.
The thing that sets this hotel apart from other hotels is the staff. The General manager Rob, was friendly, very professional, and empathetic to my situation. He went above and beyond to help me find transportation to and from the dealership where I had my car towed. He made a difficult situation much better and I do not know what I would have done without his help! The hotel staff was also very friendly and professional.
Bottom line is, you can find hotel rooms anywhere, but the level of customer service, professionalism, and dedication to their job that Rob and his staff show is very rare these days.
I would not only return to this property, but I will definitely go out of my way to stay at this location again when I am anywhere near the area.
IHG should be very proud of Rob and his staff, and recognize what a truly great group of people that they have representing their brand at this property.

The room was really nice; I got the suite with the hot tub. The price wasn't terrible at $124. There was a microwave and a keurig in the room. The only sink was in the bathroom but I wasn't doing dishes so it wasn't a huge deal for me.
The king size bed? HUGE.
It was a firm mattress and it slept really well. There were two pillows on each side, one firm and one soft. They stretched the width of the bed and were kinda floppy, wasn't bad once you find the right position for them.

I've stayed here twice when traveling for work on the east side of the state. Overall both times have been pleasant and the rooms have been clean and well organized. The breakfast to-go meals are filling and tasty as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location was easy to find though the scarcity of street lamps makes the entrance difficult to see if arriving after dark. The rooms were great; the black-out curtain was a neat feature (instant midnight!). This location is practically brand new so it was in amazing shape. The breakfast was among the top free breakfasts I've ever had: scrambled eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, bagels, pancakes, muffins, cereal. There was even a sign saying you could ask for to-go containers. Both check-in and -out were easy and staff was super nice.

Great hotel! Don't know when it was built but looks like fairly recently. Modern, large clean rooms with huge tvs and usb ports throughout the room. Hallways are wide and very clean. Also features "garage door" style blinds which completely block the sun, great for late sleepers.
