I was surprised when I walked in, and there was no wait. I was able to go right up to the counter for a registration for my car and my Wife's. My clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. She even pointed out that my driver's license was set to expire, and I didn't even realize that. Very pleasant experience today at the DMV. Something I've never experienced there before

I made an appt. Showed up on the dot and was put in line and seen real fast! Surety Bond on a vehicle and an updated license and new photo!! They were patient with me so I could get the perfect smile lol

In and out pretty quickly but make an appointment or you'll be waiting hours

Making an appointment is the only way to go. I was in and out within 10 minutes. The staff was really friendly and professional.

Make sure you get online and make your appointment. They were turning away alot people who try to just walk in. Wait was lengthy for few they took as walk it's (45min.- 1 hr). With appointment waited 10 minutes. They were very efficient.

Never have a y problems with this location and have been going here for 25yrs . It helps when u make an appointment online but don't have to . You can go in and they will get you scheduled in .

I had a WONDERFUL experience here, surprising I know. But it wasn't busy at all, 90% of people coming in had an appointment. I was greeted and had someone help me immediately and I had do wait for like 10 mins due to a computer issue but she was incredibly helpful. She answered all my questions, helped me with my plate, took my info, took my number, she was on top of it and yes I had to leave and come back but I'm happy to do so. So helpful, courteous, caring, and a multitasker. I WILL BE BACK for future SOS needs. Her name was JENNIFER.

It went really well. After making an appointment this morning, we went to our appointment at the given time the same day. We were greeted at the door and within 10 minutes saw the clerk and finished our visit. People were friendly and very knowledgeable.

I did not have to wait long since I had an appointment. They seemed like they were able to keep up and get people taken care of quickly.

It's best to go on their online website and make an appointment. This puts you at the head of the line for your appointment. Do it several days in advance because it's usually not available the day of. You still check in but you get help almost immediately.

But, if in my case, you do not have all that is needed, you'll have to get in the rest of the line. Downfall is, your only allowed one reservation appt per day... I did not use this service this week, I registered when I arrived. I had an hour and a half wait, there were problems with my accounts, so I had to get out of line to make calls, get back in line, get out of line again get Beck in line etc. Multiple times in first day taking me 5 hours to complete my license change from State to State. Second day, same thing for insurance change and car lean removed and Third Day for my license plates, so choose the one you need the most. But in my case. An appointment would not have helped me, only harmed because of the policy of one appointment per day.

Yes, I know everyone hates going to the SOS..but my experience was AWESOME.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. A staff member was constantly cleaning and sanitizing. They kept the line in order and did a great job overall with everything. They turned a trip to a generally awful place into a surprisingly pleasant experience.

The staff is extremely nice and the wait time was very short even though I did have an appointment I was still in and out within 10 minutes! Strongly recommend the Secretary of state!😁

While the Secretary of State's Office isn't somewhere you go because you want to, every single employee here was friendly, efficient, and patient. It was a genuine pleasure to get what I needed done at the Monroe Secretary of State. Each employee is the very model of what a civil servant should be.

Scott took care of us. We got our licenses changed to Michigan. Changed the titles on 5 vehicles and were out of there in 55 minutes. He had a great attitude and answered a our questions. He did a great job considering everything we needed to accomplish!

I don't think I ever had a pleasurable experience at the Secretary of State. However today's visit was different. We were helped by a clerk named Cheryl and she went out of her way to help us with our transaction. Well done Cheryl. This was my first time at the Monroe office and it seemed to me anyway, to be one of the more organized branches. I gave it five stars because it is definitely the best branch I have ever been into.
