We have been using Starr Insurance Agency since 1998. We started out with Vern Starr and now work with Kelsey and her fantastic staff. I highly recommend them to anyone (and have), both of our adult children use them. Before your policy is renewed, they will call and make sure you have the coverage you need and that they can get you the best rates. If I could give them a 10 rating, I definitely would.

Absolutely love entire staff at Monroe branch. Those girls are so helpful and any questions I ever had made it easy for me to make decision on what best met my needs at time. Only had one claim when someone hit parked car. Making claim to have repairs was the easiest part whole ordeal. I get offers other companies however staying with Farm Bureau due to wonderful staff and great service. Definitely A plus in customer service.

In a world that seems to cause us to be evermore separated by things outside our control, I find myself clinging to the few personal relationships I have left, especially in the services marketplace. Those relationships are the ones where I can actually interact on a personal level, walk in a front door, shake a hand, set down across a desk, look a real person in the eye, ask questions, have meaningful discussions, get real answers, and establish mutual trust and respect. This is the relationship I prefer when I am investing my hard earned money on a service such as insurance. Insurance at a minimum is continually changing and becoming more and more complex to understand and navigate.

As an example, consider the changes to Michigan automotive coverage we went through just over a year ago. You have to believe the designers of those changes set out to make it confusing, and they did a very good job at it. How was I to adequately protect myself, my family and my assets without really understanding what was going on and how I should structure my automotive insurance? With the help of Kelsey and her team, I developed a clear confidence in answering that question and purchasing the best options for my wife and I, and all of our assets. Who would have guessed being underinsured on your car or truck could have very real risks to your other assets? Once we sat down with Kelsey we didn’t have to guess, we knew.

Last year I got a call from The Starr office. I had a policy coming due to be renewed on one of my properties. The staff went through a list of items which, if they were true for my property, would reduce the cost of my insurance. It so happens that we found a couple of things that helped reduce my rate by over $100 a year. Once I learned these exemptions I was able to apply them to my other policies as they are coming due. My net savings is now near $300 per year.

If anyone is still reading this very long review, you are probably wondering what on earth got into this guy to spend 20 minutes writing a review for an insurance agent. Well there are two answers. The first is because I appreciate their effort in making sure I am served as well as I could possibly be, and insured to a point that my risks are as small as they could possibly be. Second, I have personally benefited from google reviews that were meaningful enough to help me making decisions or selections of products or services.

If you are looking for an insurance partner in life to work with you and help you navigate and keep out in front of the ever changing landscape of insurance, you should go down and meet Kelsey and her team. Chances are, you will make some new lifelong friends and get some great insurance value for your dollars
