Great Mexican food, I’m a truck driver and I travel a lot and it’s hard to find authentic Mexican food out here, I’m from the border so I’m used to the real Mexican food and up north it changes but here at nena’s taqueria it was as if I was home, great food I definitely come and buy more burritos here 😍😍😍

I don't know about the Kare n complaining about "ghetto" behavior as "ghetto" is a place, not a personality 😉

They're professional on FB and are nice and responsive! :) never had a problem.

But the food is AMAZING. They have Mexican coke, which is really good and amazing. :D

The hibiscus agua fresca was amazing and refreshing! It was my first time drinking an agua fresca as well as a Mexican coke.

I had the steak quesadilla. You can tell they put love and care into this.

This is coming from someone that does n't usually eat or like Mexican food!

Please know that this restaurant is opens seasonally. During summer days they cater, winter time is when they are open. If you live in Monroe Mi and think you have tried authentic food in this small town, please reconsider and stop by Nena's. I am 2 days from leaving Monroe and I couldn't be more happy to have found the most authentic mexican restaurant in town. Chicken enchiladas and chicken tamales are delicious, served with authentic homemade beans and rice. The kitchen aroma in the small bodega gets you ready to eat! Must try!

Great little spot for authentic Mexican food with some unique and refreshing twist.
I ordered the tacos which also came with freshly sliced radishes and other veggies in the container. Very cool!
The guac is delicious! It was fresh and very chunky as it should be.
The also sell misc grocery items and candy.

Today this restaurant did a great kindness!! They were out of guacamole and i was bummed but I ordered.... I am new to this place and did not have cash ... I was amazed at the kindness of the girl (wish i knew her name to include in this review) at the front desk and I want to reach out and say thank you for your kindness!!! I will be back!! You have my word.. The food was absolutely fantastic!! I encourage EVERYONE to try this place and again thank you for being so kind! It is a rare quality in todays world .... You will get it back from me-I promise and more from others....I am sure more!

Tried this pace for the first time today and I absolutely recommend that you stop here. Best authentic Mexican around. A little too much heat for me but the flavors are amazing!!!

I pass through Monroe occasionally for work and I've been meaning to stop in here and I'm so glad I finally did. Super nice people and totally authentic food reasonably priced. I will definitely be stopping in again.

This place has real street tacos. Cilantro and onion,lime. All the meats are tasty great flavor. Very nice people inside. Family. I recommend it.

Been looking for authentic Mexican in and around Toledo for a while now and have been being met with constant disappointment until we tried here. Excellent food and service. Its take out only, and their menu is a bit small which is a little sad given how amazing everything was but it's definitely worth the trip!

This place has the best freshly-made tacos around! Choice of meat with lots of cilantro and onions. Take-out food only since there is no seating. There are some grocery items to purchase, not a lot. Timing isn't always the best since they close before I get off work, but caught the place open on the weekend and did a u-turn right away!

Everytime I go here I am never disappointed. People are always friendly and the food is authentic Mexican. Not Americanized Mexican
