Wilderness Campground

We were so happy to be escorted to our site and even more delighted that they have a dog park. The campground is peaceful and quiet. Amazing playground! Grocery store is less than a 10 minute drive. Owners were so helpful, polite and friendly. We highly recommend this family friendly campground!

We had a rv and let me tell you it’s wonderful ! The new managers bust their butts to make the camp ground beautiful , welcoming & bend over backwards for all they do ! They are the best ! We sad to go ); but will be back , thank you Amy & staff for everything! And compliments saying our site was the nicest with flowers and keeping it nice , we respect other people’s places & respect them highly ! I hope they run it forever ! Thank you again for all your hospitality and being so sweet ! The best campground we ever stayed at ! Jerry & Terri , enjoy your time off guys ! You deserve it ! Yall worked so hard this summer ! Fun place to be !

Amy and her husband are awesome managers they work endless hours and make the campground look so nice ! Sweetest people ! So many activities and nice people here , we love it ! I hope they stay managers for years to come ! Autum is a sweetheart and the water guy ( honey service ) is the sweetest ! Highly recommend the place to all you campers you won’t regret it ! Thank you guys for a great stay ! The lambs !

We have a 5th wheel and are here for a month. Love the site. They have great shower/bathrooms, plus cable and include a honey pot dumping 2 times a week. The office has a store with all your needs. Ice cream on Friday & Saturday. Plus pizza and ice only $2.50 for a 10lb bag. They have different activities going on each week.

Nice campground quiet and clean nice owners site was easily accessible for our 30ft toy hauler we will probably visit this campground again

We loved it here. It's great for camping with or without kids. Many amenities. Great playground for kids. Big, safe, clean pond. Fishing pond also. You have to purchase their wood. Dumpstaion on premises. And it is easy to use. Bathrooms clean. You can get a day pass to go swimming.

We have been in the past to a lot of campgrounds when my kids were little mostly staying in cabins. We just purchased a camper for just us. Our kids are grown. I pulled it there myself for the first time. I was so nervous about setting it up without my husband that he was coming after work. When I got there, I have to say they were the most friendliest people They lead me back to my site and set the camper up for me. I was so relieved. I will definitely go there alot.

Owners are so pleasant. Swimming pond is great! Just a very nice quiet place to hang out. Cabin is cozy.

Beautiful place & my son's friend had his H.S. Grad party out there definitely a best kept secret about this place and all the years that I've lived in Monroe County, good times&good people, the staff is very helpful👍

Loved staying here while my husband worked at the marathon plant. The workers were sweet and the campground was always very clean and so were the bath houses. The "beach" area to swim and volleyball court was always fixed nice with the tractor and the newer playground was great for my 2 little ones. Would definitely stay there again! Only thing we didn't like was no sewer but they have a dump station & offer to come pump your camper out for a small fee. :)

There is a swimming lake and a playground. We got a pass for the day to swim. It was $7 per person. The beach is clean and the driveway/ walkway around the pond is well taken care of.

Best campground around period. Everything is updated. Swim lake is clean, and the sandy beach is great for the kids. The fishing lake has lots of bass and pan fish, and bathrooms are clean w hot showers.
Upon arrival you will be assisted with parking your rig (this is a great help with beginners). They tutored my wife's first time backing in our 34 ft tt and it was awsome.
I also had a hitch bolt come loose and they helped tighten it back up.
This place and owners are great.

One of my favorite campgrounds. Perfect getaway. Peaceful, clean and relaxing. The owners are great and personable.

This park is the most comfortable and quiet place I ever had the privilege to stay. The owner/managers are the finest human beings you can ever meet. Please stay there when they open for summer. You will not regret your time or capital.

Now, this place will go above and beyond to help you. I was working in Toledo, and they accommodated me way beyond what was required. Will definitely stay here again if I'm working in this area again.

A great place to spend a day at the beach or camp for a week! I got the pass to use the lake and check out the campsites. I was very impressed with the staff and how clean the water and entire grounds were kept up. There is a nice playground, volleyball court, catch and release fishing, and picnic tables and grills right by the lake.

Very comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere. Missy and John, the owners, and Bill (jack-of-all-trades) are personable and super friendly. There's a well stocked catch and release pond, swimming pond with sandy beach, and lots of things for the kids to do. Everything is well cared for and the bathhouse is clean and well maintained. First time as a seasonal camper and see no reason to move.

The owners, Matt and Amy are great. We are new owners of a used motor home and trying it out close to home. They helped us set up and are very nice. Great neighbors too.

Loved this campground! The staff is very friendly and professional. Check in was easy. We were escorted to our campsite. Grounds well kept. Bathroom/ shower house very clean. Two ponds one for swimming and other for fishing. New playground equipment. Quiet and relaxing. Will return sometime next year!
