Location was interesting as the office was in one building, the pool and spa in another and the hotel itself in a third building but breakfast was in the office area. Very awkward setup. We did enjoy the spa greatly and breakfast was delicious 😋

We enjoyed our stay at The Quality Inn Lakefront. The room was clean. We had a decent view and we utilized the hot tub after a cold, wet day. The closest outlet was directly behind the bed which was difficult to access. The next closest was too far away from the bed. I wish I would have brought my longer charger. But it was fine. I would definitely stay here again. It was a great location for travel to Mackinac Island and also the UP.

This hotel was just right for our family vacation. Location was convenient for hiking and birding, plus near 4 Pastie places! Service was excellent: discreet daily towel replacement & once a week (what we desired) the bed was changed with such discretion our private blankets were respected! (That had never happened before!). Breakfast adequate, price reasonable for what you get, deck view splendid. The toilet was the kind that flushes normally for about 3 sec and then makes a terrific LUMP sound and it's done and filling. The wifi was good. Unless you hate seagulls, (who loved the roof), I recommend this hotel.

Nicely located by the lake, check in was fast and friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was continental, so limited to waffles, toast, cereal, and bangles but breakfast is free gets your day started, breakfast room was tight and small for the size of hotel so lots of people trying to get in there at the same time. We had 2 rooms both smelled nice upon entry and both were clean and well maintained , great views of the lake, and I slept and woke up to the sound of the waves,

This place was great! Great pool and location. The room was clean and had a nice balcony to enjoy. Front desk staff was great and breakfast was your typical hotel continental. The water pipes were weirdly loud in our room, but otherwise it was a great stay.

Outstanding visit
Stayed on October 14th for 1 night, catching ferry to Mackinac Island for a week on 10/15. Rooms were clean, well maintained, fully supplied, short walk from check-in, great view of the lake, and attentive staff members. Met two retired housekeepers who returned to help fill the housekeeping duties. I was so grateful to find this hotel, this location. This will be my go-to hotel every October when heading to Mackinac Island. Denise is the General Manager.....Thanks, Denise. See you in October.

Great location with lots of nearby restaurants. The rooms are clean, and you wake up to an awesome lake view. Bathrooms are in good shape, and there's plenty of light at night. It might not be a 5-star joint, but it's a solid place to crash in St. Ignace.

All of our expectations were exceeded. The room is one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. The views were fantastic. The staff was helpful. If you need a place to stay in St Ignace this is a safe bet.

Our only disappointment with the Quality Inn Lakefront was that we had not scheduled to stay there when we had more time to enjoy all the amenities! The hotel is smack on the lake. We LOVED hearing the waves all night from our balcony door! The room was very clean and well appointed as any standard hotel room would be. It was large and had windows both on the front and back of the room. That was a nice feature. The lake view from the balconies was great! You can also walk down to be right at the water above a small sea wall. We did not swim, but there was a nice indoor pool that also has a back deck for sunbathing. The deck faces a large grassy yard that would be great for kids to run around. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast fare and was easy and appropriate for our needs. Had the weather been nice, we could have enjoyed breakfast outside on a picnic table on a small deck. The hotel location is an easy drive into St. Ignace. Access to the 2 Mackinac Island ferries is super convenient. Also, the town July Fourth fireworks gave us a great show from right on the hotel porches! And we even enjoyed a very distant show from Mackinac Island right from our room balcony. With more time than we had, you could easily enjoy the property both indoors and out.

Well maintained and clean with GORGEOUS view! Towels were bright white and well stocked, comfy beds, and staff was very friendly and helpful. I can’t speak to the condition of the pool, but we very much enjoyed the little beach! As for breakfast, I feel they’ve done their best to adapt and provided a nice little brown bag option with a breakfast sandwich, muffin, and Nutri-grain bar. Overall, we felt it was an excellent value!

Appropriate price, great location, great rooms! Although breakfast was as disappointing as all Choice hotels right now (the company protocols are from, like, a year ago when COVID-19 was a major threat), the pool, hot tub, and Lake Huron shoreline fifteen feet from the building did not disappoint. The room was clean and comfortable with an unusual layout that I totally dug. I appreciated the carpeted balcony and common walkways. The owner was kind and funny; I genuinely enjoyed him as he checked us in. Also, of all the hotels I stayed in over the past week of a road trip, this one had the most comfortable bed and linens. I would totally stay here again. 👍🏼

We showed up to this hotel at 5 pm looking for reservations. We were hauling a cattle trailer so we stopped in to see if they had parking for us. They were over the top accommodating! We got upgraded to a room with a spa for about $1 difference of the other room we were looking at! The guy at the front was super helpful and kind! We enjoyed the lake view room with a view that was worth a million bucks! Breakfast was your basic morning breakfast! The eggs were actually real scrambled eggs and not the powder stuff as we saw the lady making them in the back! The kitchen staff in the morning was super friendly and came around to each table and asked how we were doing even! I’d definitely recommend this hotel and we will be back for sure!

Goods value. Rooms are clean & cleaned daily. Refrigerator in room is great to keep bottled water cold when you go on hiking trip. They have a pool though we did not use. Staff friendly & helpful

The rooms, bedding are excellent. The hotel location provides a fine, up close, view of Lake Huron. The pool house is a stand alone structure relatively close to the hotel. The office and breakfast room is located up an incline, 75 yards away from the hotel and a challenge for those with mobility issues.

We stayed two nights here, with a room change. Both rooms were extremely comfortable, with King beds, very comfy pillows, patio/balcony, and hot tub in room. Staff was wonderful, we noted a problem with a floor lamp the first night, and the staff handyman picked it up in the morning to repair it. We did not try the pool/spa area, but we really enjoyed watching the lake, listening to the waves, and relaxing in a very comfortable room. Definitely will be likely to return next time we're in the area.

We've stayed here twice now (2014 & 2022) & we were not disappointed either time. Clean rooms & friendly staff. Only complaint was wished the pool wasn't so cold & the hot tub jets had worked. Would (and probably will) stay here again in the future!

Wonderful place to stay! Staff was friendly, room was clean and the views can’t be beat! Only issue was with parking…if you arrived back in late, you almost didn’t have a place to park. We came in late and there was one spot left!! Other than that, no complaints!! We actually ended up coming back here and spending a second night after a major issue with mice at our Airbnb in Munising! This place helped out tremendously by discounting our room, and making sure the clerk knew when we would be arriving( we had to drive 2.5 hrs at 11:00 at night, so we didn’t arrive until 1:30am). The clerk was there ready for us when we walked in. They made us feel taken care of in a very distressing situation, and for that, we want to say thank you!!! You guys are awesome and we definitely want to stay here next time we vacation this way!

The staff is very friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. The views are phenomenal. From our private balcony we had a view of the lake and Mackinaw Island. The sunrises were gorgeous. Definitely will be staying again next year.

I absolutely loved staying here, the view of the lake was beautiful! The staff at the front desk was very nice as well. The only complaint I could make is the fish flies are ridiculous but that's not something the hotel can help 🤷🏾‍♀. Other than that a wonderful place to stay, 5/5 would stay again!
