Friendly service! If you cannot find what you need anywhere else you might just find it here. A true old-fashion type hardware store with very good knowledge of the inventory.

One of the best local businesses around here . Still all about the customers. And ALWAYS and I mean Always ready and willing to help you with the issue or find one that might work as well . I don't do 5 stars but here I do .

I always get the best customer service here!!! I have had nothing less than great experiences here. If you bring in your ups package instead of using the bins outside the hardware store makes a couple cents. Do that and help support local businesses.

We always go to Shaws Hardware fir our screen door needs. They are wonderful! Our two labradoodles keep busting through the screens when they see a chipmunk. Shaws does a great job fixing the screens, quickly & for a reasonable price. Thank you!

Richard the owner is very helpful and they usually have everything I need. I always' do my very best to support local businesses so If I'm in the neighborhood I stop in and purchase what I need.

On a side note it's nice to see a business that is operated by a Christian and who's not afraid to display it. We need God in our country and our lives now more than ever!

There's just nothing like walking into a store and being remembered and truly HELPED from the second you step inside. I love everything about this classic hardware store. I can always find what I need, or get suggestions on what would work better. Some items would be cheaper at big box stores. But those stores do not have the smell I remember so very well from my childhood trips with my grandfather to his local hardware store. I like being asked what my latest project is, and how the last one turned out. They care about their customers in a way you just don't see anymore.

Well organized!! Has everything your local hardware store offered when you accompanied your parents/grandparents to any fine Hardware Store in the USA!! Will take you back decades.

Knowledgeable and helpful, prepared with just about everything in stock to help with all my projects. Prices are great - competitive with the "big box" stores and right in the neighborhood. The best value is the advice and suggestions, and they give that away for free! Great household and craft items for gifting. Fun for the kids, too; they've got lots of fun things like magnets, fun key chains and chotchkes to inspire imagination. The store has been there forever and hasn't lost any of that small town, old-timey charm.

Richard the owner is a rockstar. Always going out of his way to be helpful and kind. Finding a fixing south on for any problem you have. The prices are great and they always have what I need. 😊

Wilbur g Shaw hardware is the best place to go for everything! it's like walking back in the past into your grandfather's shop. They try their best to satisfy their customers even if they don't have the product. They take the time to talk. I wish there were more places like this that remind you of your past and how great it was back then!

I've been able to find things that other hardware stores don't have. I like the atmosphere - feels like it did years ago when service meant something.

A quaint, quiet, and rustic hardware store, located in the middle of town (Springvale/Sanford). The eye catchers are the Bible verses in the windows. The store is directly next to the Sanford First Baptist. Shaw's variety of tools and hardware is on a much smaller scale than some of the neighboring hardware shops. I rate the place as where someone would go for either starting or touching up projects, or finding a specific project part. Also, the store is a UPS drop-off.
The owner is warm and friendly too. He made sure we were looking for what we needed, giving us equal attention as his other customers.
Knickknacks and a few books by local authors are on display, mostly at the counter. I recommend going here just for the homey, local store atmosphere. They sell hand bells too, which I've never seen in a place that sells hardware.

The staff here are so knowledgeable and always have what I'm needing. They also will gladly offer suggestions or ideas I hadn't even thought of. I try to buy local whenever possible and this is one place I always check with first before looking online!!

I have dealt with these people twice and they are awesome, one time it was probably 10 min after they had already closed and I needed something faxed the owner was super nice had me come in and he faxed it for me which pretty much saved me a ton of money. another time which was today i have been trying to find a big enough box to ship out my vacuum to the maker to get fixed, was super friendly on the phone and told me that they had plenty of boxes and that shouldn't be a problem i would recommend this place to anyone that needs something faxed shipped or even a tool or hardware the service is excellent.

It's been in Sanford for year's they have everything you need from paint too fix it projects to cooking and cleaning. This place has been family owned since I was a kid. My Dad use to go there and it was the best time of my life amazing place.

Very polite and helpful service. They're also extremely knowledgeable and patient when explaining or answering any questions. I would highly recommend this store to anybody I can.
