The Poke Shack

I’ve been craving authentic poke for some time now and did a search and found THE POKE SHACK. The poke tastes authentic. It’s very tasty. I got a spicy special bowl. It was so good that when I finished I ordered another bowl from the regular menu. The second bowl was great as well. I will definitely be back many times.

The owner was very nice and I’m glad I could chat with him for a few minutes.

Also, they have spam musubi.

Absolutely great! Amazing food. I was town for a science competition and we went out to dinner. We got there after they closed, but they still served all 8 of us. Very chill atmosphere, reminds me of a nice trip back to India and if I'm in the area, I will definitely return! Lots of vegan options too.

Absolutely love Poke Shack! The foods are so fresh and well prepared. I’m so glad we have this hidden gem in the C-U area. The price is reasonable, and the portion is fulfilling. Would love to come back for their curry and bowls.

Poke Shack is very good! I had the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl for lunch. The chicken had light teriyaki flavor and no bad pieces on a large bed of white rice. Decent portions for a fair price. You can choose your own dipping sauces. They have Apple pay. Short wait for food. You can dine in but only a few window seats. Most people get take out.

The restaurant can be hard to find. Located near the highway and hotel. Not a ton of parking but at least its free. They do not have a drive thru. I can't wait to try other menu options!

Got takeout and it was fresh and delicious. They were out of a few of the ingredients, but it didn’t matter. It was great.

This was the best poke I've had in a long time. The seafood and other ingredients were so fresh and there were lots of options that allowed my mom and me to customize our bowls to our liking (i.e. Mild toppings for her, spicy for me). The service was friendly and fast and I appreciated the options to pick up as much pickled ginger and sushi sauce as I wanted with individual packaged portions by the pick-up counter. I highly recommend stopping by here!

Catered poke bowls for a work event, and every single person asked where I got them from because they were so GOOD! The best customer experience I've had and very accommodating of the variety of dietary restrictions. Will def have it again :)

A little more of a wait than I anticipated for a short lunch break, and unfortunately, they didn't pack any napkins or silverware, so I had to wait until I was back to work to eat

The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!! So don't let the inside or outside of the building fool you! What an amazing taste buddy treat!!!! It is a little expensive what what you get portion size. But you will be glad you went! It's Hawaiian/Japanese food. Make sure you check on the hours that it is open before you go; as they have a very limited hours they are open. They do have daily specials.

First had this several months ago in Mahomet and loved it! Today my husband and I were able to try it again and he also loves the food! We both got the Big Kahuna, one with tempura shrimp and spring mix and one with spicy ahi tuna poke and rice. Both were amazing and prepared with really fresh and flavorful veggies! It was a great, light lunch that still filled us up! Definitely coming back!

Hands down the best poke you can get in Champaign. The ahi tuna cubes here are bigger than other poke places and tastes pretty fresh as well. Their rice is the best I've had in Champaign too haha. I'm not sure if the tuna was marinated or just topped with some sauce, I would believe it is marinated, but if they used a darker soy sauce and rice vinegar to marinade for even longer, it would make this taste even more amazing. Lastly, they forgot my spam musubi, but it's ok.

Ever since I moved here a year ago, the poke bowls here have been such a treat! My cousin and I are always going back to this place. Everyone has been very nice. Fresh, good flavors and a pretty healthy treat!

Great variety of options and some really interesting menu items. I keep coming back for the poke bowls, which are awesome. But they have so many other delicious choices too - there just aren't enough lunch outings to try them all!

It's not visible from the street side. Go around the Mexican restaurant toward the other side of the building.
Found it on line in the middle of " no where, " compared to Chicago. Will definitely come back when we travel this way.

The food is awesome. It's unique and delicious. The staff and owner are really friendly. The option to sit down, take out, or have food delivered is great too!
