Pizza Shack

We used to go to the Pizza Shack several years ago when it was under the original ownership, and the food was always wonderful. We had not been back for several years (we live in Oxford), so I was surprised to find when we visited recently that it was under new ownership. While we were skeptical about whether the food was the same as we had remembered. Our skepticism was quickly resolved when we got our food. Our pizzas came to the table piping hot and perfectly cooked. My husband and kids' pepperoni and extra cheese on original crust was cooked to perfection. My thin crust bacon, onions, and bell pepper pizza was the best I have ever had from anywhere. The thin, crispy crust easily supported the toppings while still yielding that crunch. We will definitely be back much more often.

Now under new ownership, the Pizza Shack has undergone a few changes...... Most importantly, their hours of business are now predictable....... And according to the signage you can order food there and have it delivered via door dash. There is now a burger and a bbq pork sandwich on the menu along with a few other additions, but fans of their classic "Pizza-Shack-style" pizza will be happy to know that the pizza has stayed the same. .... And the cheesy bread is still basically a pizza crust smothered with cheese and cut into strips as has been the custom for decades.

Super friendly staff, amazing service, and the food was really good

When I was a child this was what I always wanted when asked. The arcade games use to occupy us while our parents waited for our orders. I, however, aren’t sure if those even work anymore. The pizzas are hard to come by. The personal sized pizzas are great. The subs are pretty good as well. Worth a visit!

I really enjoyed my entire experience. Staff was wonderful. It was quiet and not super brightly lit. The pizza was delicious. Easily the best I've ever had. Not like a chain pizza restaurant where all the flavors kinda mush all together I could taste each ingredient. Chef really knows what she's doing.

We were in Ashland on Tuesday, November 10th for an appointment at the hospital. Decided to try Pizza Shack on the square. I'm not fond of the chain type pizza places and was glad to see that it was a local restaurant. First of all, the employees were extremely polite which is now a big plus in my book. We had ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was hot and very tasteful and just what we wanted. I would highly recommend it. I know we will make a point to stop in next time we are in that area.

Decided to try a non-chain pizza place. We tried the Pizza Shack and was not disappointed. We had a large pizza and since it was a Thursday we got a small pizza for free. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings on a delicious crust. Definitely will return.

The food is really good. They have upgraded the lighting and the ceiling. They also have new seating.

Just ordered pizza for the first time tonight and it is so awesome. My kids love it. Now I wanna try everything else they have. The ladies that were in there at the time did an awesome job on our pizza. Will not get pizza anywhere else in this town. Very very good

Great pizza and pasta!! Every dish is made fresh when you order so don't expect fast food quickness but every dish I have eaten has been wonderful so I didn't mind the little wait. You can also place to-go orders by phone.

Best pizza in the area. We drive over 30 miles from our home in Wedowee AL. for this pizza and it's worth it. Super pizza, super help and owner, nice and clean. As for the few little negatives, plastic forks and paper plates. Would enjoy much more with a real fork, and maybe a little music.

This is an undiscovered treasure by many! Pizza Shack provides the best pizzas you can buy! They are generous with their pizza toppings and you get your money's worth out of the food you receive. I recommend taking the extra time to stop in and give them a try if you find yourself traveling through Ashland as they are a part of the town's history!

Surprisingly good pizza. Will take a few minutes to get, but worth the wait. Make sure to bring cash!!! They don't take cards.

Great pizza and better subs. Good prices. Locally owned. SOME OF THE BEST PIZZA IN ALABAMA.

Fantastic homemade pizza. Been eating there for years. Food is great, a very clean restraunt with a wonderful staff. You won't be disappointed.

My favorite pizza. The building is back in the seventy's but don't let that fool you! Great pizzas and your missing out if you don't order one, or maybectwo😀😀😀

Bring cash or check. They don't have a card machine. This pizza is so good! Some of the best I've ever had.

The aroma as you walk in let's you know it is all home made. The owner/operator is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. The food was very delicious!
