BUD'S COMPLETE AUTO REPAIR ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our son's 2007 Nissan Altima has been a great car—reliable, with 150,300 miles, and only needing minor upkeep to keep him going from point A to point B. A few weeks ago, we had the left caliper replaced, and the team at Bud's was amazing! Fast forward a few weeks, and we noticed another brake issue on the left side. It turned out to be a fluke, but after having our Nissan towed back to Bud's, the owner took my call on Monday morning, just 15 minutes after the shop opened. By that time, they had already diagnosed the issue, ordered the necessary parts, and assured us that the repair would be covered under warranty.

Though the part in question might not have traditionally been covered under warranty, Bud's recognized that it had affected the previous work. They warrantied and replaced everything that had been impacted by the faulty piece, which was a huge relief!

I knew Bud's was different during my last visit for my husband's A/C repair. A gentleman came into the shop to buy lunch for the entire staff from a nice Huxley restaurant and even offered to buy me, a customer in the waiting area, lunch as well. He was so appreciative of the honest work that Dax, Tyler, and the entire team do. That man was a walking billboard for Bud's, and now I am too!

In 2024, when customer service feels like a thing of the past, Bud's is a breath of fresh air. They treat their customers with respect and fairness, which is hard to come by these days.

Have lived in the Hux for about 4 years now and never really thought about switching mechanics from when I lived in Ankeny, but two breakdowns on the Mercury brought me to Bud's recently and have had excellent service both times. Hopeful that I don't have to see their faces for a while but I feel good going back if I have to, lol. I did tow thru insurance but convenient they have their own wrecker too.

Today I was stranded on I35 going north between Huxley and Ames on GAME DAY!!! Dax, the owner of Bud’s Auto Repair and Towing and came out with his tow truck! I can not say enough about how much I appreciate what they did. They literally put their life on the line, when they deal with interstate traffic. Thank you Dax! You made sure my van was in working order before you sent me on my way.

Very knowledgeable staff and honest. Told me about an issue ton my truck and encouraged me to take it to the dealer since it was under warranty. They could have simply fixed the problem. I had no idea about the warranty, but they were honest and will keep my business.

They brainstormed with me to fix my air conditioning and we came up with a solution that saved me $2500! Great company, great staff, and great customer service. I drove 2 hours just to get my work done.

I was stranded in a broken down car driving from Ames to Des Moines and called Bud’s for a tow. Dax the owner showed up in his truck 5 minutes after I called and towed me to Ankeny. He was professional, fast and very fair priced. Highly recommend Bud’s.

Very friendly, fast, and reasonable / reliable repairs. I commute past Huxley and these folks have been awesome to work with on two occasions: one time they got my car off the side of the road after an ice storm. Just yesterday a guy lost his tire off his car in front of me and needed some serious help. The folks from Bud's got out there quick and went above and beyond to get him back on the road. Very kind of them and greatly appreciated!

Our company vehicle, we are from Minnesota, broke down on the way to Kansas. Dax and crew towed us in, helped us get to our rental car and made all the necessary repairs. We own a carpet cleaning company in Huxley and have relied on Bud and his guys to keep us running strong. They understand how important our trucks and equipment are and have proven to be real problem solvers on more than one occasion. They have always been very sensitive to our needs and have made repairs quickly and correctly, the first time.

We got a flat on I-35 and they picked us up within 20 min and towed us to the garage. Despite the Christmas rush, they gave us a used tire and had us on our way within 30 min. So, from the time we called, till the time we were back on the road, it took less than an hour. Plus, the bill was much less than we were expecting. Impressive service. Thanks!!

They got me in a timely manner and it was done right the first time. The price was also way better than the dealer!

Excellent service. I was a walk-in in need of help with my car because it couldn't get past 1st gear. Bud's was the closest auto shop, so i inched it there in 1st gear. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. After a short explanation of the situation, and a 20 minute wait, i was on the road again no worse for wear. They even spotted an issue with the car i hadn't noticed and reccomended me a part and course of action. I'm not easily impressed, but Bud's Auto Repair is A-OK in my book. 5 stars and a high recommendation.

Best experience I've ever had at an automotive repair shop ever! Although I was dealing with a stressful situation Dax was incredibly kind and helpful despite being only 15 minutes from closing to care for the wheel issues on my Honda. If you like friendly, knowledgable, and thorough service than this is the best place to go! Highly recommended and I plan on coming for future auto repair services and telling friends and family about my great experience.

I had a flat when arriving in Huxley. Called Bud's & someone came in about 10 minutes, aired my tire so I could get it to the shop so they could check it out. A cotter pin was in the tire. Repaired the 2 holes & had me back on the road in no time. Very friendly staff! Thanks for the rescue. I highly recommend Bud's Auto Repair!

My wife was pulling our 32' travel trailer with the family and 250 miles away from me/home at the beginning of their vacation. The truck blew a high pressure oil pump line (diesel) and left them stranded on the side of I-35S just on the Huxley, IA off-ramp. I called Bud's Auto Repair because of the good ratings and close proximity and I'm so glad I did. Dax, was the first person I talked to and he was both timely and professional. He and I talked over the situation and he got the trailer and my family to his shop and the truck to a diesel specialist up in Ames. The point is he made an awful situation better and really treated my family like his family. Thank you Dax. My family was back on the road in about 6 hours (most of the time was waiting on parts) and able to make it to campground in Missouri that night. Thanks to both you and Eastman Auto for saving my family's vacation.
