Hy-Vee Clinic Pharmacy

The staff have been absolutely amazing! We have a unique case and the staff has been working with our insurance, and on a rush made sure that we had the meds needed as quickly as we could get them even working with another pharmacy to make sure we had what we needed that night. The Pharmacist is always great at communicating with us and makes sure we have everything we need. They have been life savers. The whole team there goes out of there way to make sure we are taken care of! Its not fun nor easy to deal with insurance and meds but they go out of there way to try to make it as easy as possible.

No store, but pharmacy is providing an essential service to Huxley!

All of the staff are amazing except for one young girl there, I've had no problems with refilling my medicine except when she answers the phone, it's not only once that I've had a complaint but today I got hung up on right after I said my name and what I needed then when I called back someone else answered it was like she passed the phone to him to deal with me, but other then that they refill my medicine really fast and always have an answer to my questions

Prescription’s never available. Multiple prescriptions on back order. Employees give you the runaround telling you that it will be ready the next day over and over again they when you finally say it’s been too long they actually look it up. And realize it’s on back order. And tell you that you need to get it at a different pharmacy. Which would have been great to know sooner! It’s happened multiple times.

What happened. This place use to be friendly and efficient. Now it's the opposite.

Horrible customer service. Long wait time. Rude staff. Drive a few extra minutes to Ankeny or Ames and use a larger pharmacy. I don’t get prescriptions often, but have used this place for years because it is close. However I have finally had it. Today my vet called in a prescription for my cat that he desperately needs. I waited 45 minutes then drove to the Hyvee pharmacy only to be told they didn’t have any prescription for me. I called my vet and they had to leave the prescription on the pharmacy voicemail because nobody would answer. I went back to tell the pharmacy to tell them that but there was an excessively long line. I went to the library to wait so I could try to get some work done while waiting. I tried to call the pharmacy after another 30 minutes but nobody answered. After an hour I drive back over there, waited for the third time in a long slow line and got to the front to be told “they are working on it”. Then 5 minutes later they tell me they actually don’t have that medication. No apologies, no customer service. It seems they could have bothered to notify my vet of this when it was called in, rather than wasting literally 2 hours of my time today.

Would be nice if they had an option to speak with someone on the phone. All automated prompts that hang up on you ... unless youre a physician. Let's see if this review can get me a call without having to drive 20 minutes to the nearest HyVee pharmacy.

I just want to say the lady at the front counter is very rude. Has a nasty attitude every time I come. And rolls her eyes and I am not OK with it. If you not happy with your job go somewhere else.
