The Tax Assessor Collectors office in Denison DOES NOT DO DRIVERS LICENSE. You will need to contact or go to the Texas Department of Public Safety is Sherman.

The staff here are nice and informative. They turned a tedious procedure into a pretty good experience.

Is what it is. Got it done. Always ends up becoming a friendly social, chatyatmosphere. Helps pass the time😉

Pay what you owe to stay legal

Quick and easy.

Nobody comes here for fun, that's a given.
However, the folks working there are always super polite and prompt every time I've had the displeasure of coming in. They do need to have at least one more person working, as they can get really log-jammed by anyone with an even slightly complicated issue, but it's a government office so I'm not holding my breath.

The lady that answers the phone is extremely rude. Had a 2-3 minute conversation that was friendly with zero issues. At 9:50 am on a Friday, February 23, 2023, you would think she would be cordial. I told her “thank you, have a wonderful weekend” and she hung up on me. Maybe if you don’t like taking phone calls, you should not be answering phones.

Ooof. My daughter tried to get a title transferred in her name and this tax office had her jumping through unnecessary hoops. Even to go as far to ask for a doctor's note for someone who was unable to sign for themselves even though her husband had power of attorney. I think my daughter probably spent 10 hours in the tax office and another 20 hours gathering the unnecessary paperwork. I ended up taking her to Denton county and they told us what we needed, which was not even close to what Grayson was saying, and we got it done with much less hassle. I'm shocked that nobody at this tax office even mentioned a titled bond. Wow.
