The Jalapeno Tree

The second time in a week, we visited this restaurant, and we had a repeat awesome experience. The food was fantastic, and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. She checked on us every few minutes and was quick to help with whatever we asked for. Highly recommended to visit this place if you love Mexican food.

Very good and affordable food. My favorite is their Chicken Club Tacos. My wife loves their Shrimp Bowl. But whatever you get, make sure to add their Charro Beans. They are the best I've ever eaten!!! And your kids will love their FREE soft serve ice cream cones!

Green Chilli Chicken Enchilada is a must, it's filling is fork tender and incredible. Charro beans are amazingly seasoned and meat flavored! Better than all Dallas Mexican I can find.

I cannot believe how great the service is and how great the food is at this restaurant. The Manger MAN greeted me with a smile when I walked in and Accommodated where I wanted to sit. He had a great attitude..
Then my food came out and the food wad 5 stars. Great taste and good portions as well. I really give this place 5 stars and that's hard to get from me. Lol..

Awesome delicious food experience. I will make this my regular place to dine every time I return to visit this area.

We dropped in on our way back to DFW from Choctaw. We sat at the bar with Joey and he was fantastic! He was friendly and suggested some great things to try. We both got a “make your own plate” with tamales, tacos, and enchiladas dressed just the way we like them. Be sure to get a few flour tortillas with your meal. They’re made in house and fantastic. I would definitely eat here again!

Enjoyable atmosphere, good music. We ordered brisket nachos, white queso , taco plate. Taco meat seasoning was Really delicious.
The 2 complimentary house dips alone are great! We had a fantastic server Jason. Good sweet tea.

This Jalepeno Tree was excellent. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and our server, JP, was hilarious and a really nice guy. Stop on by if you're in Dennison.

I wanted some good mexican food and this place served just that. I walked in and waited about 5 minutes to be seated because people had reservations. No surprise, this place is awesome. The food was great and the cocktail I ordered was refreshing. The waiters/ waitresses were very attentive to the guests, including me as well, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is awesome. You can come here with your family or come here with some friends and hit the bar. This place is so good that I came here 2 nights in a row while I was staying in the Denison area for those nights. Thank you Jalapeno Tree for making my stay in Denison better!

The host we stayed with recommended this place so we gave it a try. I had a veggie bowl that was a lot spicier than I anticipated, but still good. Veggies cooked perfectly! The kids meals are generous and priced fairly. The salsa and other dipping sauce were both good, as well, and our waiter kept them coming! Service was good, ambiance was good. Nothing spectacular, but worth a visit for good food and fair prices, especially for a large party.

One of the few decent Tex mex places in the Sherman and Denison area that actually gives you good food.

It’s cheaper to do the build your own combo plate than buying a combo plate that’s pre built.

I usually don’t like salsa or care to eat it. But their jalapeño salsa is delicious. I also don’t like spicy food, this wasn’t spicy at all. The jalapeño cream salsa was actually edible.

All in all, 5 out of 10. Definitely worth going here to get some good food.

The service was also great. Our waiter was a sweet guy.

Also nothing was expensive. Everything was affordable.

Ashlynn (hope I spelled it correctly) is amazing! Salad looks and tastes as good as the picture makes it look. Jalapeños weren't spicy but had a good flavor.

It's still delicious. Even better now because the hours are back to normal. I love the atmosphere, the salsa rocks. Best flautas ever. Just 10/10.

Awesome food! Their tortilla soup is the best I've ever had! My wife and I eat here often. And their prices are great. My wife and I eat here for under $20, including tip. It's hard to beat that!

A scrumptious Mexican Restaurant! The Tamales are SPECTACULAR! I also love the chicken enchiladas with sour cream and you definitely have to try the green salsa...it is AMAZING! A must try restaurant for sure!!

Modern Mexican vibe. Sopapilla in chili form is also surprisingly good.

Very good Tex-Mex cuisine for a chain restaurant. The hostesses are a little slow but the wait staff is efficient and attentive. A good selection of menu items and the build your own lets you get what you want. One, two or three items plus rice and beans. The bar has a good selection of liquor from the standard bar type to premium selections. Of the other restaurants in this chain this is definitely the best.

Waitress was great, food was great, something for everyone to eat from age 5 to 70?!. Did not take long to get our food, We were able to order, visit with each other and eat in under a hour.

Food was delicious. Our waitress was on the ball. I wish I could remember her name. She was super busy but was handling everything like she had been doing it for years and she was a young lady.

We had a great meal with awesome service. I highly recommend stopping in here if you are in the area!
