The service here was phenomenal. I think we got one of the owners as a waitress. She definitely set me in the right direction. I ordered the BLT with chili and the chili was phenomenal, and I'm not a chilly fan, but I decided to try something different. The service was amazing. The drink descriptions were perfect. These suggestions were on point. We also got fried shrimp. Oh what a taste. The portion size was great we had leftovers for breakfast. It also reheated well. The ambiance was wonderful. Clean restrooms as well.

Fantastic food, vibe and location. Bring your appetite because you’re in for a treat. I had the Muffeletta which was right on time. The half plus side is enough for two meals. Enjoy.

The classic Ocean Springs dive bar and ol'hipster joint. Live, good music and a hamburger with the resonant crewe of days. A little Tito's from Texas, pickled okra, and some Zing Zang's is how it shakes. Humbum hangout for down home folks. Thanks for the service.

Government Street Grocery is a cool restaurant with a unique vide. The outdoor area gives you the opportunity to enjoy the night air while engaging in the consumption of the delightful morsels. All the food on the menu pair perfectly with a frosty beverage. The descriptions of all the menu items had my mouth watering. Attempting to expand my experiences, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of fries dipped in gravy as an appetizer. I settled on a spicy steak wrap with a side of shrimp. Okay, this place is great. Excellent food and usually excellent service. I’ve been there more times then I can count. But I think I’ll take a little break now. I went this afternoon and the service started out excellent. Charming young man who has waited on me before. Very friendly, very helpful. Food was excellent as always. It was late afternoon, not busy at all. I was sitting outside, waiting and it was extremely hot out. I seemed to be forgotten about. Due to the heat I desperately needed more water and would have liked another drink. Finally had to ask another worker for a box and the check. Finally the original guy came out. Too late for water or another drink. Had to ask for the box 3 times. Afternoon was ruined and I left disappointed. I just don’t get it. I love this place. Go for sure, but I’ll be taking a break. This is what makes me stay home.

The Grocery is my favorite spot on The Coast! I like it better than my own restaurant. Food is always great and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. I’ve seen the best shows on The Coast at this Ocean Springs staple.

Great enthusiastic server, Amelia and the whole wait staff, friendly and very attentive and efficient. Great burgers and sandwiches. The corn nuggets were delicious 😋fun atmosphere with dj.

Started off my GSG experience with the blackberry smash, an excellent spirited concoction. Chicken salad sandwich was delicious and made with fresh ingredients (one of best chicken salad’s I’ve eaten on the MS coast). Bar staff was courteous and professional. Five star experience. Great lunch place in downtown Ocean Springs.

Had lunch with my wife at the Government street grocery restaurant. Best burger and fries on the gulf coast. The Ruben sandwich was perfect .Great friendly fast service. We will be returning when back in OceanSprings Mississippi.

Just finished a terrific lunch. Muffuletta and fries. Cooked to perfection. Beth provided tremendous service making sure my glass was never empty. The perfect blend of Gulf South flavor and furnishings. Well worth the stop.

Great menu and a super friendly staff. We could have stayed there all day.

We enjoyed a pleasant outdoor lunch. Staff were friendly. Drinks were fun. Food was filling. Nice place to stop when in Ocean Springs.

I love this place! The wait staff are cool and attentive. The music is always good, and adjusted to never be too loud. The food is definitely bar food, but some of the best I’ve had. The Dirty South in particular is a favorite of all of my family members. Every time my kids catch me there they make me bring home a Dirty South. The fries and fried okra are delicious. Most importantly, the drinks are strong and cheap. PBR is cheaper than a glass of iced tea, but alas, no free refills. If you just want a chill, quality bar to hang out, this THE place.

Great service and good food. Interesting location with some eclectic artwork decorating the whole place. Very casual and friendly. Enjoyed my trip and definitely recommend The Tijuana Burger if you like something different and spicy.

Greeted immediately. Made to feel welcomed. Suggested the Philly Cheese, fries, and gravy... and it was deliciously awesome. Three people asked if I was waited on. Great service. I was given my choice of beverage...based on the original pour, it was poor, but I didn't complain. The waiter brought me another beer, on the house because of the first pour. You can't beat this place. The people are awesome. Then, as a band came to play, the waiter who took my order was the technician for the band. He did it all and with a smile. I will frequent this place for the six months I'm here. I suggest you find this place and claim your seat. You'll love them.

This place checks off everything on your list! The Dirty South, Burger, and the pesto grilled chicken gyro are fantastic.

Every time we came by before, it was on a Monday, and we forgot that they aren't open on Mondays. THIS time we came in on a Thursday!

So I ordered the Tijuana Burger. Although I asked for medium, and it was a little more well done than that, it was a juicy burger anyway. Kudos there. Everything tasted GREAT. I also had the corn nuggets as my side. I would rate this place higher than Woody's for the hamburgers. This was the juiciest best hamburger I've had on the coast!

My wife had the shrimp basket, and couldn't hardly eat all of it. She had the fried okra. She said the same thing. One of the best restaurants on the coast.

Next time, I want to try the Muffaletta!

Staff was super friendly. $2 beer roulette was super fun. Cool atmosphere and decent prices. Food was yummy!

Fantastic lunch! Had the Muffaletta sandwich and it was amazing. Lindsey was a great server, very knowledgeable. We will be back while on vacation.
