Mississippi Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Our family strolled through. Awe inspiring memorial. Really touching place to visit and teach our children about history.

I'm also glad when the park was designed they intended it to be regularly used, as there was even a space for our kids to run around while still being respectful of the memorial. Thank you to our country's Vietnam Veterans!

had a great walk. the property is looking beautiful. didn't realize they finally replaced the fence. awesome job!

Me being a veteran, made it a point to see this place when in town. Very impressive and some very impressive markers. Make sure you walk around and see everything. I want to thank them all with their service and sacrifice.

Great memorial honoring Vietnam Veterans from the state of Mississippi. There was far more to see here than I was expecting. Worth a 30 minute visit if you’re in the Ocean Springs area.

Made me cry at how many good looking men lost their lives for our freedoms. It is absolutely intolerable what is happening to our Country and I ask myself what would they think right now.

I spotted the memorial on my way past and stopped to check it out. Id grown uphearing stories from families and friends about the war. Like the rest of my generation, I also grew up watching M.A.S.H. which combined the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

The memorial could use some upkeep, but since I only saw one "walker" on the nature path during my time there, I understand that resources may have been otherwise allocated.

There are touches throughout to make this memorial worth a visit beyond the virtue of remembering their sacrifice: A Vietnam era helicopter stands among a copse of trees, plaques are erected around an American flag commemorating other conflicts and park features are lovely throughout with shaded benches and wooden bridges.

Fantastic 1/3 mile walking track. Park is well maintained and pretty. The memorial is quite humbling.

Quiet and calm. Grounds are well kept benches are provided to sit down and just think for a bit.

I love that this memorial was personalized for local fallen soldiers in the Vietnam War. There was also a monument honoring military spouses. As a military spouse myself that really touched me.

Very solemn place to come and remember the brave Mississippians and who fought hard, who died bravely, and some who never made it back home. Lots of history here. A beautiful place to come and walk and get to know a little bit of history.

I drove by and stopped when I saw the big helicopter standing there. It's a beautiful place that reminds people the value and importance of veterans.

This memorial park is so beautiful. The memorial headstones are intricately and beautifully etched. Loved the walking track too. The upkeep of the grounds could have been better, and some of the stones power washed, but that area has had an excess of rain lately. Loved the pictures of the veterans across the walls too. Wonderful place to visit!

It was a very nice place I went there paid my respects I do have a friend that's Mia but he's out of Louisiana but this one here in Mississippi is very nice y'all come visit it sometime I give it a five star

Nice safe walking path. Used to be able to walk your dog but because people don't pick up after their dogs that is no longer an option. Got some outdoor exercise bars and equipment as well.

A wonderful place to visit. Every state would be doing their Veterans and their families a Great service to put forth this kind of quality effort. Thank you Mississippi on behalf of all my who served, as well as those who served and did come back.

I'm a little late reporting this but I visited this memorial in 2018 on a trip to Texas from South carolina. I happen to see the sign and turned around and went back and I am so glad I did. What a beautiful memorial and place to visit. It's a nice place to walk around and view different types of artifacts also.

Very humble experience to walk through this memorial and see the pictures, stories, and items. I originally came here to get the pokestops for Pokemon go, but in the process of doing that I learned about all the history there.
