The Hyppo Coffee Bar

The Hyppo Coffee Bar is the best place in St. Augustine to come and relax or study and get some great espresso drinks. From hot or iced teas to beers and wines the Coffee Bar has just about everything. Fresh baked quiche, empanadas, bundt cakes and cookies as well! The pop selection here is great! You can always find the pops in season.

What a great place to relax and visit friends or study. I had an iced mocha. My children enjoyed trying the popsicles! It was a great experience and I'll definitely stop in next time I'm in town

I came in for the grand opening, so obviously the vibe was popping! Over all my impressions are positive. The space has tons of arm chairs, as well as large tables for socializing. I had a cappuccino, which had an excellent flavor in the espresso, not sure if it was the trilogy or bold bean brew they boasted serving (though it didn't taste like the bold bean). The staff were friendly and efficient, and they had a good selection of Hyppo pops (if not the full variety). They have a decent selection of local beers, only downside is they don't have a full menu visible that I could find, only prices were for the coffee and tea. They had baked goods available as well. Wish there was one in Jacksonville!

Great atmosphere, great selection of beverages from cold brew coffee to a cold brew beer. All deserts and savory treats are made in house so they are always fresh and delicious. You also have a wife selection of hyppo pops to choose from. Justin and his team always gives the best customer service.

It's Hippo as you know it with all the popsicles and then fused with an excellent coffee shop. Great ambiance and comfy furniture that's ideal for study/work or spending time with friends.

Great coffee bar to meet up with friends or chill while you work on your computer. Lots of lounge chairs and big tables. Of course their fruit popsicles are heavenly, that's what they're famous for! But their snacks are also just as fantastic. And their coffee is made by a local Jacksonville roasting company that is some of the best coffee I've ever had. Years ago they also had epic bistro sandwiches, but those are no longer. Even still, they are still a strong 5 stars!

Nice and Cozy coffee bar that's a.litttle hidden. Lot of big tables and room to spread out if your doing some work or just want to relax. In addition to coffee, they are known for their gourmet popsicles. Staff is very friendly and coffee is good. Good local company and highly recommend supporting.

Unique flavored popsicles, familiar teas & coffees & a comfortable atmosphere make this place one of our favorite haunts in St Augustine. Students sometimes take up tables for hours, but it's because it's that kind of place! There are high backed chairs & lounge seating so it's also aperfect place to catch up with a friend. If you become a regular, ask them to stamp your card.

I wish they still served sandwiches & soups, but they do have muffins, cookies & small quiches.

We love this place specifically yhe popsicles. We visit 1 to 2 times per year when we visit family in the area. We always make this one of our stops every trip. Delicious posicles with so many great flavors. The atmosphere is awesome and relaxing.

Pleasant artsy environment, delicious coffee & teas, excellent & friendly service! All of their artisan popsicles taste amazing! My favorite drink is the chai tea latte. Highly recommend!

Brought a group of 13. Manager was VERY accommodating . allowed us to move furniture to better suit our group and did not rush us to leave. Only snacks and breakfast type foods. We will be making this an annual thing for us. Thank you so much! Our ladies raved about the service and and food.

I had a hibiscus guava popsicle and it's honestly all I've thought about since. The guy there helped me make the choice and he was right it was refreshing and delicious and I definitely want another one. I've had the peach bourbon in the past and that one is also super delicious.

Popcicles and coffee are the main focus here, but they do offer some cookies and quiches as well, i tried a Mayan sparkler cookie (dark chocolate with cyanne pepper) and it was big and delicious! Pop's are fun and creative, sangria, sweet potato, pineapple cilantro, datil plum. along with other milder but still fun pops like starfuit, apple pie, and guava cheesecake. The coffee here is great!! local beans ground the moment you order, and they even have specials sometimes that are themed, they had a sort of cocktail themed special going on last time i went in, espresso and coke, a mule with espresso, non alcoholic but fun! Gets you to try new and fun things in a quiet and comfortable environment.

I started off with an iced coffee. Since it was breakfast time, I asked if they could please give me a little quiche. I walked away with a large slice of quiche Lorraine that satisfied not only my breakfast hunger, but definitely will delay any lunch plans. I'm about to cap off my morning with one of their scrumptious frozen dark roast espresso bars. The Hyppo Cafe is a welcome addition to my breakfast/brunch/coffee shop options.

Joshua is the absolute epitome of customer service & barista skill. He just made me the best cardamom rose latte of my life & took time to guide each of us toward equally delicious popsicles. Thanks to the Hyppo for delicious made from scratch treats & for Joshua making our first experience so great!

It's very cozy and has plenty of seating all around the room. I haven't tried the pops, but that seems to be the big thing here.
There's a huge hippo skull on top of the fridge.

Great service and great popsicles, I went in there for a popsicle after my mom told me how good they were. The lady at the counter was very helpful in helping me pick a flavor I like. 10/10, would go again

Wonderful atmosphere and kind employees. Love coming here to study or read. Great coffee and espresso. Favorite coffee shop :)
