Gourmet Goodies Bake Shop

I decided to try Gourmet Goodies Bake Shop after reading the positive reviews. You are greeted cheerfully when you walk in. They have a variety of cupcakes and brownies prepackaged and a display case of other goodies. They had 6" decorated cakes that I assume were grab and go. I ordered a 6" birthday cake, gave them a picture of what I was wanting. When I picked up the cake an associate walked me out to my car and helped me secure the cake in my car to prevent damage to the cake in travel. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Excellent customer service. Ill be back for sure.

Mrs. Carissa and her team help me bring to life a masquerade themed cake for my daughter’s sweet 16. Our cake had two tiers of vanilla with the outer layer being fondant with vanilla buttercream and a strawberry tier. There was absolutely not one piece of cake left. The cake was moist and delicious. It is pure important to let your cake sit and follow the instructions that they give upon pickup. I learned that if you cut too soon it’ll taste dry. Cakes are usually cooled and stored when decorated. Therefore if you cut a cake that’s still the temp of the fridge it may taste dry. This cake was perfect and my daughter’s guests really enjoyed it! We got the boujee bundle and they enjoyed the treats as well. I apologize I don’t have a picture of the treats.

Gourmet Goodies created the most beautiful AND delicious cake for our wedding!! We had such a great experience with them from the beginning; everyone on their team is so kind and went out of their way to make sure the design and the flavors matched what we wanted. They made the perfect cake for our vintage Hollywood-inspired wedding and our guests all loved the flavors! As a bonus, they made AMAZING gluten-free vanilla cupcakes as well; our guests with gluten allergies loved them and said they couldn't even tell they were gluten-free! **ORIGINAL POST**Was told that I could get the new Nutella cupcake without nuts on top if I called ahead insinuating call in the morning of picking them up end of day. Just called to make an order for 4 for daughter’s birthday and was told I need a weeks’ notice. I have been to the shop numerous times and the cupcakes are great but getting different answers from people on the same question is a big turn off for me. Customer service is top of my list when I deal with a store of any kind.

Gourmet Goodies is absolutely amazing! They made a custom cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. They were so helpful and creative! The cake was SUCH a hit with her and all her friends (and their parents!). It was so delicious and the additional goodies (chocolate covered oreos and pretzels) were amazing! Thank y'all so much! We will definitely use you again.

Loved our baby shower cake and cookies 💚 We actually enjoyed the whole experience to order and explain the cake we wanted. Carissa was so professional and helpful, she really took the ideas we wanted and they baked the cake and cookies just as how we wanted them. We did provide the artificial flower/leaves we liked for the cake. The flavor was soooo good, excellent price for the product received and excellent customer service. Now every event we’ll definitely come back to order.

🤗Desert should be unique. When you take your first bite, the world should slow down, the butterflies you felt as a kid eating your first piece of candy should come back, and you should, for a moment, feel the weight of adulthood lift. I have always loved Desert, but today Gourmet Goodies helped me realize Desert should always be magical. Outstanding customer service doesn't describe the extraordinary kindness and attentiveness shown to me and my fiance. Right outside the bakery, a fountain surrounded by radiant greenery fills the air with nostalgic smells of summer and the soft sounds of a flowing river. To the owners and employees of this fine establishment, thank you for making my day special. Thank you for making me a priority. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into not only making a fantastic product but an equally fantastic experience.

Love their cookies. Lots of variety baked fresh everyday. Haven’t tried anything else yet but they have sugar cookies, stuffed cookies, cupcakes and custom cakes. They all look delicious 😋 Staff is always friendly, patient and helpful. I recommend to follow their instagram for updates on new items and cake designs. Definitely recommend try the cowboy cookie it has hints of cinnamon, oatmeal and regular chocolate chip.

I am very pleased with my daughter’s wedding and grooms cakes from Gourmet Goodies! Carissa was very friendly and helpful when trying to decide what and how much we needed. The best part was them making dog figurines for the cake at my daughters request. I will definitely use them again!

I have always loved the cupcakes from this shop before it even had a storefront. The cakes and just as fantastic and, while this time I just wanted a plain simple cake, when I came in to pick it up I saw same cakes with truly fabulous designs.

My daughter and son-in-law introduced us to Gourmet Goodies and I’m so glad they did. They had a wide selection to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a sampling of desserts and it was all so good. Sugar, snickerdoodle, and salted caramel cookies. Apple pie, strawberry, churro, and Andes Mint chocolate cupcakes. Cinnamon bun and apple cinnamon scone. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite. I guess I’ll be going back soon to try more.

I love arriving at any wedding (I'm an Officiant so at a lot of those) and seeing a beautiful cake - because I know Gourmet Goodies always creates the most detailed and gorgeous one. Last weekend though, I was invited to take a treat or two with me. Besides being beautiful, the cookie was thick, soft in the center with just the right amount of crunch. The frosting was enough to enhance the overall flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. The macaron was light, flavorful and an absolute delight. I highly recommend this wonderful bakery - for any event (but especially weddings)

The best bakery in Polk County!!! What’s most important, is trust. I know when I ask GG to make us a cake they will deliver not only a beautiful cake but a very delicious one at that. They have an attention to detail and ask all the right questions to get our order, just right. You can even swing in for a yummy cupcake, tasty macaroons and so much more. Thank you for yet another fantastic cake for our celebration.

I've been wanting to make a visit to this place. So when I traveled to Florida I did not pass up the chance to do so. I walked and was greeted. The Establishment is clean with an aroma of such that as you would find at a fine bakery, very pleasant. Great atmosphere. There were about six or seven tables to sit and enjoy your baked goods. Offering up a wide variety of gourmet cupcakes, cake pops, macaroons can gourmet handmade cakes. I wish I would have extended my vacation a few more days because I would have gone back to try some more goodies.

They made me a Birthday cake last minute and it was beautiful and so delicious! Definitely go visit them and try one of everything! The cookies are so good!
My mom has called from another state 2 years in a row on my birthday and surprised me with cake. Today I went in for my birthday cupcake and they had my birthday cake surprise for me and sang happy birthday to me! Andrea is great so nice everyone there is!

Owners are wonderful! We often get treats for specials events like custom cakes or cupcakes & they’ve all been amazing!

The assignment- Beauty and the Beast wedding cake with a classic, elegant understatement with a side of Hidden Mickey. Mission Accomplished! Not only did it hit the mark on design- the cake was absolutely scrumptious! If you’re not a fan of fondant, they may change your mind. The fondant was a thin layer, backed with frosting- not over the top and overdone.
Note: the florist added the flowers and added the Minnie and Mickey earrings to the caketopper. (Their mates were in the Bride’s Bouquet and Groom’s Boutonnière to be reunited for the Bride to wear for years to come and remember their special day.)

I cannot say enough about this bakery. Not only are their cakes and treats delicious but the welcoming attitude they extend to their customers is always top notch. The shop itself is always clean, festive, and inviting. The displays are great and they decorate cakes right up front which is always fascinating to watch.

I've had several custom orders which were absolutely worth the price. Carissa and her team take painstaking care to ensure their customers are happy with every detail. Every time I'm downtown I can't resist stopping in for one of their premade cupcakes. If you're a coffee lover, they've got you covered with a great tasting (and local) brew. Seriously, if you haven't given this shop a try, you're really missing out!

You know what’s as AMAZING as their cookies (and cupcakes & pretty much everything they have 😭) Their UNDERSTANDING their helpfulness & patients. I placed an Order for a Saturday & life being life made things happen & the store closed (I cried when I realized because they had even reached out to me to let me know! also, I’m a pregnant mess with a toddler) THEY WERE STILL WILLING to meet SUNDAY (the day of my event even though their store was closed) WHO WOULD DO THAT?

Again thank you guys so much! Also, they brought my idea TO LIFE. It’s not everyday you see a differently colored Pooh 😭 Pictures do absolutely NO JUSTICE.

Gourmet Goodies Bake Shop recently did the wedding cake and groom’s cake for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding reception. Both cakes turned out perfectly and were so delicious! From the tasting and designing to the finished product, they were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them for all of your special occasion and bakery needs!
