All of the staff throughout my entire pregnancy experience have been wonderful. Throughout the whole journey I felt like everyone kept me well informed and educated. The care provided on the labor and delivery floor and mom/baby were amazing. I’m so glad to have had Winter Haven Women’s Hospital as an option to give birth.

Ever single person I encountered at this hospital was amazing! Especially the nurses in postpartum, I had my baby last week and Idk what I would have done without them, their kind words, delicacy and patience was unmatched. I owe them everything, if I was able to remember all of their names I’d be listing them all ! :)

We had the most amazing experience with the birth of our first child. Each member of the staff we encountered went above and beyond and was so kind. That kind of care started in the OB urgent care before admission, into labor and delivery, over to baby and Mom unit and all the way through discharge. Even the housekeeping and nutrition/room service individuals reflected this. We could not have had a better experience. A HUGE shoutout to our delivery angel Stephanie. She went above and beyond for us and even stayed past shift to ensure a wonderful delivery. Thank you to everyone at WHWC!!

I had the most amazing experience from the time I slowly walked in the doors, to the time that I slowly walked out and left my newborn in the capable hands of the nicu staff. This is my 3rd labor and delivery experience and by far the best! The check in person was very patient with me during contractions, and she worked swiftly to get me to the nursing staff down stairs. She did well informing my mom and husband of what to expect while they wait for me, and she was really Kind to them. As the nurses walked me to get changed and have me get to the room to take my vitals, they were very kind and patient. Full of smiles and pleasant conversations between contractions. The thing that made me glow inside was when I hesitantly declined to sign the form to receive the epidural. When I shared with them that this will be my first time not getting the epidural, both of the ladies tending to me got so excited and immediately began encouraging me and giving me other options available to me to help with pain. After informing me that I was in fact in labor, they suggested that I walk to our room to help with labor. They were also excited to keep the gender of the baby a secret because my husband didn't want to know the gender of the baby. When I got to my room upstairs, the nurse and the tech staff that was tending to me said that they were excited for me, and that they would come up and check on me after the baby was born to see what I had, they were excited to find out as well. When the nurse upstairs received me, she immediately encouraged me when she found out that I did not want any meds, but was nervous about it. She gave me suggestions on different ways to labor, and she paid careful attention to me to see what worked and encouraged me to continue to do that. She was extremely knowledgable, and seemed so excited to be my nurse. At this point, there was no fear or worry in me. Because of the encounters I had from the moment I walked in, I had no negative thought in my mind! They made me feel completely confident that my body was capable of what I really thought was impossible. Labor went quickly, and everyone was so excited for me because I accomplished my goal to bring my first son into the world without epidural. I wanted to hug each of them. When we were admitted to the room that we would be staying in we were greeted with a new group of amazing nurses. One of the things that mean the most to me is how attentive they are even to the needs of the father of the baby. I can go on and on. Unfortunately our son had to go to NICU. The nurses were as concerned as we were and excelled at keeping us informed of our baby's progress. I can write another book about the NICU staff. I can't talk about them without crying. ALL of our nurses. Even the ones who came to take labs were like family, asking questions like they genuinely cared, and carrying on welcomed conversation. I told my mom that I didn't want anymore children. By the time that I left the hospital, I told her that Winter Haven Women's Hospital staff make me want to have another baby, just so I can deliver there again. Thank you a thousand times. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is that you all provide a variety of ideas to thank the nurses who take care of us. Ways that we can keep track of their names and ways to adequately thank them for the way that they care. I'm so grateful.

Great experience from when i walked in. Security guard was awesome. I forgot her name but I will never forget how she treated me. She was so sweet and caring. Registration was fast and easy. The nurses and doctor was awesome. I wish I knew about this hospital sooner I would have loved to be delievered here instead of my prior arrangement.

To the amazing, caring, supportive nurses once we went to our room. Thank you kaley, Ashley, Jenn - you all truly made my experience one of a kind. Keep up the amazing work and the way to connect with your patients because it truly makes our days and nights a better one! On behalf of my husband and baby boy we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Jordyn, Taylor, and the rest of our labor and delivery team were amazing. It was a smooth and well cared for transition to the postpartum team. Alyssa, in particular, stood out as a caring, informative, and attentive, postpartum nurse. The entire team, including our dietary services staff, treated us like family.

All of the staff was friendly and helpful to me and my spouse through the entire procedure for delivery and then post-partum. The food was good and the nurses were quick to see me when I pressed the call button. I also appreciated the support for breast feeding that I was able to get from all the nurses that helped with me, it can be challenging but they encouraged me and shared some tips.

From the labor to delivery to recovery, to the receptionist to the nurses, doctors, and room services, this place feels like home has such wonderful people working for them, I've been here for both my kids to be monitored and delivered and I wouldn't recommend anywhere else to anyone for the experience me and my family got while here. Thank you Winter Haven Womens! Xoxo

Update:
I ended up going back to my OB that delivered my first son bc he's absolutely amazing. I was worried about the hospital and the treatment I would receive but I can't even begin to explain how amazing these nurses have been this time around. Huge huge shoutout to the best delivery nurse you could ask for Morgan! As soon as she came in she asked my plans and goals with the delivery which was to go natural until I asked otherwise. She was so knowledgeable on different positions with the peanut ball and listened to my concerns about the labor not progressing. Dr.Ramchandani broke my water and 5 hrs later I had my son. I begged and begged for anything and everything but every contraction my babies heart rate was dropping. Even though I was not all there due to the pain she continuously walked me through every contraction, encouraged me and told me how strong I was every second she could. She has such an amazing energy and I cannot begin to appreciate her being there for me enough. As soon as baby was out I told everyone how I wanted my cheeseburger now that it was all over. Dr. Ramchandani beat Morgan to it but I had my cheeseburger as soon as they finished sewing me up. I also got delivered another cheeseburger that one of the other sweet nurses put in just in case Morgan didn't make it before the cafe closed (she had 3 min to run). She also was so thoughtful and played Happy Birthday for my son after he was delivered. I can also say a big thank you to Judy who we bombarded as soon as she got in and she listened to every concern I had. I cannot remember the names of the other delivery nurses but not a single one made me feel uncomfortable even though I probably screamed for those 5 hrs. My mother and baby nurses were so amazing as well. They all made sure we were comfortable and that I was feeling well afterwards. Thank you Nikki and Tina. I really cannot appreciate how the staff made my visit amazing this time around. I hope you all stay bc you all are such a great fit for caring for moms and their babies.

It's been 2 yrs since having my first baby at this hospital. I want to say I had an amazing doctor and plenty of amazing nurses. However two nurses at this hospital made my experience less than expected and are the reason I will be looking into Lakeland or Sebring for my second child (yes their comments/actions were that hurtful i still remember them after 2 yrs). I want to say first time moms don't be afraid to speak up to these nurses and request a different one if they treat you less than any way you want to be treated. Especially a nurse who makes a comment about how your region doesn't look right in front of your partner. You also shouldn't have to stay in a hospital and feel like you cannot call the nurse for help. Especially when you had blood all over your bed, trail to the bathroom and filled the toilet. Also I really hope this hospital becomes more than proactive in hiring nurses who actually want and enjoy being in this field and not nurses who just talk down to new moms.

I have been at this hospital for delivery of my two babies.
One on April 2021 and one on December 2022.

Both time the service has been excellent.

Also I was under the constant care of the hospital OBGyn group beside my own OBGyn.

In my case Weekly sonograms and monitoring of my blood sugar, the staff were always nice, polite and professional.

The birth process excellent.
Exceptional care to all of us.

From me, my husband, my best friend and the most important the babies.

During the pandemic I was bless to have my husband with me.during the process.
Now after the pandemic I was able to bring my husband and my best friend. Then after the baby born my husband went home and pick up our daughter to meet her youngest sister.

Did I mentioned the food?
Very good variety, flavor and portions.
Btw your partner can eat as well very convenient ($8).

I am very please and recommended Woman Hospital Winter Haven for you.

Best bedside manners before and after procedure I wouldn't change anything at all about my visit only suggestion is the NICU gets a secretary, those ladies work so hard taking care of our babies they need help with the phones so hopefully they can get that soon. Any of my medical needs I will be returning not going anywhere else.

We had the best experience all the way from labor and delivery to our 2 day stay after. Nurses Brandi, Glenda, Nikki, and Tanya were highly educational and so helpful for postpartum recovery and infant care. I would highly recommend any woman having a baby in the Polk county area to deliver at the winter haven women’s hospital. I can’t say how thankful my husband and I are to have such an amazing team taking care of us. Thank you for everything and God bless each nurse.
