Crowne Plaza Virginia Beach Town Center, an IHG Hotel

In town from St Louis and needed a place to stay at 230 am to hang out at the beach in the morning til continuing the drive down to Nags Head. Called this hotel as it was close to my location at the time to see if they had availability that was cheaper than $400 a night due to it being 4th of July week. Spoke with a gal named Jodi who may be the friendliest and most courteous person I have ever spoken to. She got me hooked up with a perfect room for us and searched for any discount that she could apply for me to keep my cost down as I was only going to be there for 5 or 6 hours! And the night security guard Ryah was equally friendly and helpful. Walked the parking lot with me to show me where to park and as there was construction going on. She wanted to make sure I was parked where allowed and also that my rental car didnt get damaged. Just above and beyond in my opinion. I met the hotel manager Derek the next morning when checking out and HE couldnt have been more pleasant to speak with. I told him about my experience with Ryah and Jodi overnight so he knew the kind of employees he has working for him. So appreciative to receive this kind of service in todays age where it tends to be a lost art form now. Well done Jodi, Ryah and Derek! I told you I come back home at least once if not twice a year and will definitely be back and all because of the service you provided!

Even though their under renovation, definitely a great hotel the rooms are nice it's 15 mins from everything an most of all the staff is really friendly

Very nice hotel. As others mentioned, it is undergoing renovations, but the service that the staff provides is excellent. I was checked in by a woman late on Friday evening. She didn't have the answer to my question right then and had to look it up at a later time. Not only did she remember my question, she followed up with me directly about it through someone in the morning. The breakfast staff were also really kind and the staff behind the front desk in the morning also provided great customer service.

This place provides great access to the Virginia Beach area with the beach being only about 20 minute drive away. I think this will be a great hotel once all the renovations are complete but until then it's nice to see that the staff feel supported in holding it down for guests.

Ok so they are under renovation and the rooms that are available are a little dated but still clean and comfortable! HOWEVER the staff here are absolutely TOP TIER!! We have stayed in A LOT of hotels and met a lot of staff and I have to say this is the absolute best staff EVER! No matter the time, no matter how many times you go in and out they ALWAYS speak to you and welcome you! They compliment us, even remembered where we were going and when we returned asked how it was!!! I'm super impressed with the staff here and anytime I return for a visit this will be my first and only choice!!!

Our trip to Virginia Beach unfortunately was for the loss of a family member.
As for the Crowne Plaza our room was adequate for our needs and in satisfactory condition. Meaning it was clean, neat and maintained to reasonable standards along with feeling safe. Note the motel is under going renovation which will be an improvement. Other then the vehicle noise from route 264 in Virginia Beach, we had a nice stay. I would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay for a situations such as ours.

This establishment is cleaner in the middle of construction than some new hotels. The management, facilities, and staff are all top of the line. The modern amenities and attention to detail will put this hotel in an award winning category as soon as construction is complete and the right people observe it.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend in October 2021. We were in the area for a wedding. From check in to check out everyone was attentive and nice. We were given breakfast vouchers to cover the weekend. The breakfast was delicious. Red took care of us every day we were there and she was absolutely wonderful!

The rooms were clean, it was very affordable for a weekend stay, and my husband insists we stay there every time we visit.

If there was any con, I'd say the rooms seem a but outdated, but there was a renovation banner in the elevator and right before all of the rooms.

Rooms were great. It was currently under construction but was a good stay overall for a business trip

Okay - Give them a break!! The truth is the rooms are less than a 3, however, they are sooo nice and accommodating, I couldn't give them less than the 3 star. In all fairness, they are going through major renovations. I can only hope their rates stay the same and they remain as customer friendly when the renovations are completed.

Came to see a concert. Rooms and amenities are great. Staff were very pleasant. Our room was very clean and had what we needed for a 2 day stay. Would stay again. Looking forward to seeing the new renovations.

I just wanna say thank you to Barry, he is amazing and knows his job extremely well. Very high spirited and really cares about the person he’s talking to with great manners. Besides the customer service being excellent the room was very clean and room service was one outstanding. We only planned to stay two nights but stayed another night because how greatly my wife and I were treated. I definitely recommend this place and keep

Wife and I were going up to a meeting at NAS Oceana, VA and had never stayed in VA before. I wanted something close to the base and to the interstate that was nice and a decent price. I read the reviews of several hotels in the immediate area of this one and though some people were knocking it we decided to give it a try, and glad that we did! The hotel is very nice (nothing fancy of course), the staff was awesome (thank you Caylin!) and we had a great nights sleep after a long drive from Daytona Beach, FL to here and then back to FL the very next day. They had an indoor, heated swimming pool that we took full advantage of a a nice looking bar that we didn't get to try, this time! We will definitely be back.

This was the second time I stayed here. The best place to stay I town. The staff are very friendly, specially Caylin. She is very nice friendly and great customer service. The breakfast here is off the chain. I will stay here each time I come here. Love this place.

I am somewhat picky about Customer Service and it takes a lot to completely impress me.
Terri, at this Virginia Beach location, has completely exceeded my expectations for Customer Service. She has assisted me a couple of different times this week with 6 reservations at your hotel. Each time, I can feel her smile through the phone.
She has made me feel like I am the most important customer, provided everything I needed, even asking questions regarding the Credit Card Authorization which were regarding making sure "I" was protected-something I have never had a hotel take the time to ask me. I am completely and utterly blown away by her customer service.

The room and hotel were both very clean and smelled good. Carpet in the room was clean and the bathroom was a nice size as well with plenty of towels. The bed was comfy and so were the pillows. No free breakfast was offered, but the restaurant downstairs served some amazing, hot food (my boyfriend ordered the Shrimp, grits, and bacon). The bar service was excellent as well. The hotel does put a $50 hold on your card, but you can use that at both the bar and restaurant or just get it back after check out. The hotel is in a great location for those who want to shop and explore town center area. Tucked away from the busyness of the area but close enough for a nice walk if you'd like. No complaints and I we will be back. We felt safe and slept amazing!

We arrived early this morning and was greeted my the Front Office manager who was pulling double duty as Night Manager. Let me tell you... You would never have known it because of her cheerfulness and professionalism. Maria took great care getting my wife and me checked in. Because of her, we will go out of our way to come back to this hotel in the future because customer service of that magnitude is extremely hard to come by.

I enjoyed my time here! The rooms are extremely clean! Front desk staff was very friendly. I had a king size bed, the refrigerator had enough room to accommodate all the food we had. Very quiet, could not hear anyone else in other rooms. I will return and I totally reccommend it!

The whole time we stayed here it was great, very stress free resort style stay! The only thing that would make it better is more late night snack options for those who don’t want to leave the hotel at all and/ or a hot tub. It’s about 15mins from VA beach and 40 mins drive from Busch Garden. Staff was very helpful and so friendly everything was easy to find this was a vacation for me and I would come back to stay again. Our room was on the first floor which I loved they were doing work to the hotel but it wasn’t any bother. We liked our stay so much that we added an extra nights stay. The hotel was clean the room was clean you could smell how clean the hotel was upon walking in every staff I encountered while there was nice and friendly. I don’t have any actual complaints we really enjoyed our time there it was hard to leave and do tourist things lol

It may not be a 5 star all the way around but the service I got and the ease to check in and update my room size was not a problem. Laundry mat for sports and bedding is comfy.

Aqua lounge is great Red my bartender was helpful in picking what drink. I got the shrimp scampi flatbread 6/5 stars, best Flatbread I had in my life.
