You may experience a bit of a wait as they have lots of customers however the savings is well worth the wait. They really do have the best prices in town. Sales Rep OZ really made the experience a plus.

We had a hassle free experience all through out from start to finish. We came in late due to delayed flight and the crew were kind enough to wait for a couple of minutes after they supposedly closed. We are very happy with the daily rate and were given a small car which we named Chikitita. It was clean. It never broke down and took us to places we wanted to go. The car given to us has no power amenities which is just right to keep the costs down. We were all satisfied with the service we received.

We came in pretty late. The team was great, and accommodating of me and my two young girls. We traveled with more luggage than anticipated. The vehicle upgrade went smoothly onsite to a larger vehicle. Watched the owner help assist elderly drivers with setting up navigation on their phones.

Air conditioning worked great, vehicle ran well, and had zero car issues. We drove ALL over the island. I would highly recommend this location again. We booked through American Airlines and received a great rate compared to the big names.

Don’t listen to all these negative reviews. The manager oz is actually a really nice person and was able to upgrade my car from compact to mid size without charging me. These cars are in good condition and worked perfectly fine. The manager also gave me his personal cell phone number in case I needed help. They are professional and reliable. Would recommend to anyone especially with an affordable price.

I had the BEST experience, Amy helped me. She was kind and helpful. Don't understand why they have such a low rating. I will use them again. Paid $15 for my car wasn't expecting a lot for that price but the car was great low miles good on gas. Wasn't forced to purchase anything more and the total price was what I expected.

There's a man there named Oz who was really helpful to us when we were navigating the ins and outs of renting a car. Great guy. The car itself was nice enough; electric key started to fritz out a few days later, but I think just needed a new battery.

Shuttle to and from airport is good too.

I am giving Economy Rent a car a 5 star, Desiree Kealohalani Vega helped us out with everything we needed to rent a car her customer service deserves a million stars she went above and beyond she was very helpful took her time to provide my family and my self with our rental and we definitely recommend this place we are very pleased and glad we pickedthis place , Shuttle Driver from airport to pick up rental Sharon is amazing also went above and beyond her amazing customer service deserves a million stars also we couldn't be much happier with her she welcomed us as if we were her family and we got lucky again to getting picked up to get dropped of at the airport by Sharon and again we got the best service. We will definitely come back and book with Economy.

We arrived at HNL and the shuttle to Economy was waiting. The shuttle driver was awesome and gave us some great suggestions for our stay! We paid exactly what we had expected when we reserved. The cashiers were kind and helpful. Our car was clean, ran great, and all at an amazing price! Upon returning the car, Oz was absolutely lovely. I felt awful for the sand in the car and he assured us that was not a problem! Would highly recommend!

Seriously best rental car company we’ve worked with. Beyond extremely helpful from start to finish. Was confused where to find after airport called the number provided and they helped direct us each step of the way to the shuttle pickup location. Waited for the free shuttle, smooth and easy and got us there quickly! PSA: always tip your drivers! They work for tips too!! As soon as we walked in the door was met with extremely friendly agent who helped us through the process and was so sweet, and was nice for my boyfriend and I to make a fun connection.

Oz is a great individual and does his best to serve his customers. He gave recommendations on places to go in the island which is especially helpful because of dietary restrictions. The staff was friendly and we had no trouble with the reservations or car.

Also, If you’re going on vacation in O’ahu you may as well do it in a Camaro SS convertible!

Staff were very nice, car was upgraded for free when I got there and the guy who helped me was able to waive a few fees and save me some money. Car was a little older but clean which is what I care about most. I don't know much about cars but it seemed to run well no lights or sounds. One thing to note is that you have to take a shuttle to the pick up location, if you ask staff at the information desk they can tell you what signs to follow for pick up location and they return you to the airport with your luggage as part of the rental price.

People only rate rental car companies when something goes wrong. I’ve rented from Economy rent a car a dozen times and have only ever had good experiences with them. This was my first time renting in Hawaii and I was impressed with the level of service we got from Oz, the rep who helped us. I’ve had no issues with the car or rental process and look forward to renting from Economy on my next vacation.

Honestly no problems or issues. They were very nice and great for the price. Maybe a little slow on check in but that's about it. I would rent here again. :)

After reading all the ratings, I was pleasantly surprised with the service. Absolutely no issue at all, they were very quick and friendly to take care.

First off Hawaii is a place where a friendly smile and quick aloha is always there. We’ve been here many times and used plenty of different car rental services and it’s always been a “Transaction” but here at this little Economy tucked in near the USS Arizona Memorial, we found some true Aloha, and were more than grateful for the help finding a place to eat and stuff to do near the economy rental drop off. Our flight was delayed and Oz helped us keep our sanity. if you are looking for a “sweet ride” go somewhere else and pay big bucks. If you want a car that is clean, affordable and full of gas, and no cockroaches then this is the place. Our car was great and just like our room we spent more time on the beach and enjoying the real reason for coming to this beautiful place. These guys went out of their way to help us out, and while waiting for our shuttle I experienced them take care of 4 other guest in the true Island way. Big Mahalo to all of our friends at economy Honolulu, we will see you next year 🙏🌺🌈

Dont just pay attention to negative reviews. Loved doing business with them.little slow starting off on the wait.wife and infant were with me waiting and it was hot outside but otherwise had a great experience. Also there's no signs ar fhe airport directing you to their shuttles. After reading the reviews I was 2nd guessing my choice but the company gave me an upgrade on the car size and charged everything right up front. Took pictures of the vehicle and encouraged me to take my own. It was a decent vehicle that I looked over myself and found very few problems all cosmetic. AC worked engine sounded good.i trusted it to put my family in. I returned the car with a little more gas than I left the lot with dropped it off, they scanned it in and we were on the shuttle to the airport. I checked my account after and there were no extra charges beyond what I had already paid for upfront.
