I love going into Samson’s Hardware Store. Everything you need at the highest quality is here. I love the old fashion feel of the store. I would rather shop here than anywhere. For the quality, variety and the helpful, knowledgeable staff. This is run by people who care that you get what you need and are treated with personal attention and a friendly neighborly attitude. I went to the store to find closet length dowels because I couldn't find them anywhere else. This store has a great selection of everything including the best selection IMO of canning and preserving items! Sourdough keepers, you'll love this store. The staff is helpful. I prefer to go here over Lowes and HD. Hands down. Especially as a homeschooling parent. I can bring my kids and certainly find everything we need for our projects.

Samson’s is an institution. It is a small hometown hardware store that always seems to have what I need. I’ve purchased everything from stove parts to food dehydrators, ash cans to window seal and on and on. Best of all, service is incredible. Everyone is friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. They don’t have all the bells and whistles of the big box stores but the essentials are there and it doesn’t take miles of walking and hours of searching to find what I need.

It's an amazing feeling to walk into a hardware store and the staff knowing exactly what you are looking for and also being knowledgeable on the matter.

Samson's in the coolest hardware store I have ever been to. They have extremely knowledgable and personable staff, and all sorts of items that you will not find anywhere else in town (possibly Alaska). Prices are always very reasonable. Quite possibly my favorite store in town.

Samson has been delivering quality goods and service consistently to Fairbanks for many long years. They're Alaskans who really care about other Alaskans and prove it every day. If you think you can't find everything there that chain stores have, think again. Where else are you going to find kerosene lantern chimneys and parts? Good ones... Or pitcher pump leathers? Go there first! On a side note, please support local businesses, it matters!

My partner and I love shopping here! They carry a wide range of products you don't find in the box stores (such as tree tapping supplies, crockery, apiary supplies, and super nice spring lock jars) as well as outdoor and camp gear. I'm always surprised at their wide array every time we go in. I love that the stuff is super friendly and they keep a selection of print outs from the UAF Extentions Office, which has really come in handy with our homesteading efforts.

If you're a bushkin, this is your go-to store. For all your woodstove needs, this is your one-stop shopping. Bring in your pipe length info and they'll set it up and even crimp it for you. Don't forget your screws and appropriate sealant!

I needed help to find the right part for the plumbing job that I was doing. Went to the big box hardware store 3 times and was given the wrong part 3 times. The people at Samson were polite and took time to get me exactly what I needed. Even showed me how it would fit together. Amazing service. I live on the opposite side of town and I know I will be going back for most of my future hardware needs. Thanks guys.

I came looking for an old fashion cutter you swing and found it here. Works great cutting things in small areas

Samsons has a lot of quality items we need and use in Fairbanks. They were the only store in town with barn door rollers and track. They had the old style crosscut wood saw I was looking for. The well point, pipe and drive couplings came from Samsons. If you need #9 wire, they will sell you a 50 lb roll. Stop at Samsons first, and you won’t have to go all over town looking for what you need.

Been going to Samson for 60 years, since early childhood. First place to check for those hard to find nuts and bolts and Alaska type items like well points, weed burners, cabin stoves, stovepipe, and etc. They can match your paint too. Great job ladies.

They always seem to have just what I need. Staff is helpful and store isn’t overwhelming like the big box stores. It’s great to shop local at a place that understands Alaskan hardware needs.

This store has a lot of items the big stores don't and a lot of variety for a small store. Reasonable prices. Love the folks that work there too.

The customer service is amazing here. I got to the store at 3:00 o’clock on Saturday thinking they closed at 6:00, they actually close at 3:00 . A gentleman was like faking the door as I walked up, let me in and got me everything I needed. These are the reasons you keep coming back to a place.

By far the best hardware store in town. Their staff is incredibly helpful and they have a good selection. I consistently go out of my way to shop here because the customer service so good
