Krispy Krunchy Kettering

Best chicken around for the price. Got a 12 piece meal for $30. Came with 12 biscuits and potato wedges.

My Lord!!! I had this chicken for the first time today, and ummmmm.. what's a Popeye's?? My chicken was sooooo juicy, and was delivered through GrubHub. Super quick and it was piping hot! I'm super pleased! Thank you for the good quality in your food

I never dreamed I would be buying chicken at a gas station but I am here to tell you that it is good!

Love Krispy Krunchy Chicken. They have fried fish as well that my wife usually gets. My only gripe about this location is they close a 5p.m. Got there today a 4:40 pm and hey were already closed because they had ran out of chicken 🐔 They do have a location on 725 that stay open 24hrs

The chicken is awesome. Yes, Gas Station Chicken is awesome. Who would ever have expected to hear that one?
The obvious comparison is to Popeye's chicken and here is my two cents worth: The quality of the chicken that they use is head and shoulders above Popeye's. The spices are nearly identical in flavor, but I think that Krispy Kruncy is slightly more spicy.
But.... Here's the rub: the sides cannot hold a candle to Popeye's! If you are like me and crave Popeye's Red Beans and Rice, you are going to be disappointed.
I have been going to Krispy Krunchy in Kettering for about 3 years now, not often, but probably once every month or two. I love my trips there, and the service has been great. Today's visit was a bit off on the service, but still average for a fast food experience. Both employees were in the back talking loudly about sports and took a while to come up front, Once the employee arrived, it was 100% attention.The gas station cashier (not an employee of Krispy Krunch Chicken) was smoking a cigarette at the counter. That very strong criticism is of the Shell Station and not of the chicken franchise.
Overall, I give Krispy Krunch Chicken in Kettering a solid "A" rating. I wish I could give it an A+, but the sides just won't let me

My wife has been a fan of Krispy Krunchy @ the corner of Stroop Road & Far Hills Avenue for a while now. She's since gotten me hooked!

We had some of their delicious, juicy fried chicken for our carryout dinner last night. We also got some of their fried shrimp: each was a perfectly battered golden brown bite.

The staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and efficient. Forget the rest of those fried chicken places.

This chicken! We got the tenders... they were so good! Moist, tender, a little spicy and really big, a natural cut of the whole tender. Collard greens were delicious. The waffle fries were ok, just not fresh. The honey biscuits are really good too but I wanted them more for breakfast since they are so sweet. The staff were extraordinary as they were friendly and fast. We will be back.

At first glance, the pricing seems steep, considering the gamble you already feel like your taking with gas station chicken, but after you eat and realize this is the best chicken in the Dayton area, it's really quite the steal. The chicken is extremely moist and flavorful and the honey biscuits are delicious. The staff was fast and courteous. I'm still hesitant to eat gas station food, but not this. Don't let the store front stop you from trying this delectable Dayton dish!

I've been there 2x, both times short wait, if any, both times friendly staff & great chicken! 1st time I told the young man at the counter I would need a minute to study the menu because it was my 1st time there. He immediately asked if I'd like to try a sample. I said sure. The "sample" turned out to be several inches of a tender, not the little bite I'd expected! There was no line at 5:25 on a Thursday night. I ended up getting a breast, mac & cheese, & a honey butter biscuit. The chicken & the biscuit were very good. There was nothing wrong with the mac & cheese, it just wasn't anything special. Next time I went, on a Saturday around 3;30, I tried a 4 piece of the tenders, and a honey butter biscuit. The lady staff member kept my order warm while I waited in line to get a half growler (a "howler") of draft beer to take home. When I came back to the chicken counter to pick up my order, she told me she threw in an extra tender because this batch was not their usual size. That was really nice! I haven't tried any other sides, but would like to try them all eventually. The chicken is very good, & the honey butter biscuit is a must. I've had 2 different staff members at the chicken counter, a male & a female, young, and older. It didn't make a difference, the staff was friendly & helpful. The staff at the draft beer counter are also friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable.

Haven't tried the chicken, but the beer cave is tremendous.

Great value for the dollar on the tender family meal. Taters and gravy are a must along with the jumbilia. The Mac and cheese is good also. I joke all the time about gas station chicken. I am not a big chicken fan, but I love this chicken, the seasoning and dipping sauce make it. Chicken almost always is freshly cooked. Stop in at this gas station (Shell) on the corner of Stroop and Far Hills (48). My family loves it.

Honestly a best kept secret. It's in the gas station but don't be alarmed. Meals are served fresh and hot. Sides are great and there are meal options if you want. Try the gumbo bites. They usually have 10pc promo that's cheaper than trying to buy the pieces individually

Yes, the best fried chicken in town is at a petrol station. The chicken is prepared fresh constantly and it's tender and delicious. The honey biscuits are flakey and soft but substantial; I don't usually like sweet biscuits but these strike a nice balance of sweet with salty and buttery. The boudin bites are a substantial ball of Cajun sausage and rice with a good amount of spice. I can tell I'll be craving these. The service was fast and efficient. They can take a card directly at that counter or you can pay cash at the Shell fuel counter. It's great fried chicken and that's a really bad thing since it's so close to home and where we shop.

Best chicken I've ever had!! Store is SUPER clean, and staff is very friendly!! Only place I will get my chicken and fish at after trying this gem of a place!

LOVE their chicken! Sad they have been closed on football Sundays but so happy we had a football Saturday this past week. WHODEY

Delicious! Fresh, great seasoning and great price. Much better than any fast food fried chicken. We get "gas station chicken" every week!

Best fried chicken in town. They have fried okra as a side; need I say more? They have a great beer selection, including a growler station.

I love the family that runs this spot. It's always great to see smiling faces. Better than KFC honestly. The sides are way better and the biscuits always fresh.

Food is good, beer is good, the only bad part is the bigger lady who has an identity crisis and a foul mouth in front of customers (shell clerk). Haven't seen her in my recent visits so maybe and hopefully she found work elsewhere.
