i originally took my cat to my usual vet after noticing weird behaviors that was unlike him. i didn’t feel satisfied with this vet’s care, approach, or detail on what was going on.. asked about bloodwork and he told me to not worry about it.

i decided to come to horizon after my friend highly recommended them to me. i needed a second opinion, my baby wasn’t getting better. they were pretty booked but i still got in the following day after i made my appointment. all of the staff was very friendly and kind. dr shuler was even more expressive and enthusiastic to see me and my cat. after his physical exam, he told me my cat had a mass on his liver- something my other vet didn’t care to inspect. shuler was very realistic about what i should expect going forward with surgery. when i brought him in, he still did blood work for me. called me shortly after he had him on the table and visibly identified my cats lymphoma but wasn’t certain without a biopsy. he sent him home with me to recover and talk about plans going forward- unfortunately my cat didn’t survive post op. i don’t think it was in anyones control, or that i could have saved him even if i brought him back in time. they gave me privacy and empathy when it was time to let him go, and did everything i could have asked for. i’m still hurt by my loss of my fur baby but i am so thankful i went to this clinic instead of anywhere else. very intelligent, empathetic, and throughout veterinarian all around.

What an amazing place. I have a sick turkey, they were close(ish) and were happy to take her. The doctor came in, shook my hand, listened to everything I had to report, and laid out a clear plan that included steps to avoid unnecessary costs. Since this is my first turkey he taught me everything I needed to know to safely medicate and what the next steps were. He also went over flock health with me. The office staff is equally amazing and everyone seems to really care about you as well as your animal. They called me multiple times to offer cancellation slots, so I could see them sooner. The pricing is phenomenally fair and it’s such a cute little place. Super conveniently located too, from whatever direction you’re coming from. I’d give them 100 stars if I could. SUCH a great experience.

The doctor is absolutely awesome and is always more than happy to describe all thoughts and ideas in detail. I don't know of a better person to take care of your animals. His staff is awesome and he is too!

I had such a great experience here. I’m a first time pet owner with a lot of anxiety around doing everything right and the staff and Dr S were so kind and comforting. My kitten got sick and they were so calm and straight forward about the situation that it made me feel better about it too. They were able to help him feel better pretty quickly and I’ve never been somewhere where they made sure they weren’t charging you for unnecessary tests or procedures. The service is amazing and the compassion even more so. I would HIGHLY recommend taking your companion here for care.

My only complaint is they UNDERcharge for their work! They were packed but still got me in same day and got my chicken the cast she needed. Dr. Shuler and his associates were great. The price was beyond fair. Highly recommend.

Dr Shuler is the best vet I have ever met. He truly cares, friendly and takes time to listen. He provides good and apprpriate treatment with affordable pricing. I feel like my pets are cared for n in good hands. He knows what he is doing. He has taken outstanding care of my bunny. Staff is also friendly.

Staff is very friendly. They knew right away what was wrong with my dog. They gave him a shot & 6 months of free flea medicine also clipped his nails. Pricing is fare, not pricey

We love this Vet and Kennel facility! Always clean and super friendly staff. Also I very much trust the vets at this office. They are perfect and have really nice hours and always work with us. Super happy to call this place our dogs vet!

Great hospital, doctors are very knowledgeable!

We took our pet Fox here and they did wonderfully with her. We highly recommend this facility and will be returning!!

Dr John is exceptional. He saved our dog's life. Other vets misdiagnosed her. He recognized and accurately diagnosed her and got her in treatment quickly.

We are so lucky to have Dr Schuler and his staff here in Galion! You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door... Such a talented veterinarian, he's so good with our animals and us!! Our Ann has had some health issues lately and his skills have given us more time with our sweet girl for which we are thankful.

Took great care of my dog. Genuinely great doctor I wish he worked on people too probably more skilled than most people doctors honestly. Dudes impressive

My experience with the people is always great. Dr. John has an excellent crew.

This place is awesome. We are new to the area and have not found a vet yet for our doggies. Our previous vet had seen our doggies since they were born but is an hour and a half drive. He was awesome and very affordable, so hard to replace. We just found out that our Massweiler had a tumor, and we needed to have it removed asap. Horizon came recommended by 2 of our friends, so we called them. They were able to get him in for an appt the same day I called, and he had surgery that Friday. Dr Shuler is great as well as everyone there, and you can tell they love animals. Very affordable

The vet has the best bed side manners , with our animals. And we get the best care for our pets.

All so very nice and have so much love and compassion for the animals and the family. Would take my animals here always.

What a great bunch of people. Vets are thorough and they also get down on the floor with your pet if needed. From 6 furbabies and a couple litters of pups, they are good at what they do! Thank you Dr. Shuler and Dr. Glass and staff!
