If you are looking for a Doctor who is absolutely wonderful and a staff that is so kind, this is the office for you! Doctor Hickle has been my eye doctor for years and I will never go anywhere else. Her and her staff are truly the best! Thank you all for all of your hard work - it really shows!

It’s an alright eye doctor place, just never got my prescription and just recently moved and called to see if they could mail them or send me it but they said no and wouldn’t even mail it to me, those are my records to have and if I want my prescription I should be able to have it... Now I got to go pay to get my eyes rechecked after I just got them done here in December to buy new glasses. Not really happy..

I have never had a problem with the staff or doctors until today. I received a call to pick up my son's glasses because they had been sent out on Jun 8th and finally were in. The person that I spoke to on the phone said I could pick them up but they didn't have an appointments until Thurs or Fri to have them adjusted if needed. I told her we were going out of town and would make an appointment next week if he needed it. I went up there to pick them them up and was greeted at the door and she asked me what I needed. I told her I was picking up my son's glasses. She was VERY rude and said so you are just picking them up and not going to have them adjusted or make sure he can see? I know I would want to make sure that my child was able to see and I would have them adjusted. I told her I was informed that there were no appointments until Thurs or Fri. She said yes that's correct and proceeded to pretty much shove the glass case over to my son and avoided me. I was basically told to call if I had an issue with them. I don't usually review or complain but her customer service was very poor and I think that she needs to be more respectful and be there for her patients. Being in customer service myself for many years I realize that everyone may have a bad day. That is understandable but please don't take it out on your patients.

Very unprofessional that the pre-testing is done by clerical staff with little or no formal education (and this is apparent). Office staff are extremely rude and gossip about patients. Be prepared for high pressure sales as well as sticker shock. Doctors are much more friendly but it is their practice, so that probably is a given in most offices.

I will NOT be going back to family eye care again.
So backstory, our family had been with them since I was a child (Im 43) and now that I have my own children Ive always taken mine there. So I called in today because my son had an issue with his eye (blurred vision a blue line through his vision) I called and explained what was going on and they said to me because he hasn’t been there within the past year to have the yearly eye exam (he hadn’t been for 2 years he has 20/20 and had no issues) but because he hasn’t been in for those yearly exams that he couldn’t be seen till he had a regular exam and they were booked till the end of the year. I was floored!!!! Our eye doc since forever rejected seeing my child in a time of need and said that was their “policy”! They could have gotten him in if he had an up to date exam, Wow are you kidding me???!!! With those type of values I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK NOR WILL MY CHILDREN!!!!
There is an upside, I called Ohio eye in Mansfield and they had NEVER seen my child… guess how they responded?… THEY GOT HIM IN TO SEE A DOCTOR WITHIN 2 hours!!!! I HIGHLY Recommend Ohio Eye in Mansfield as they clearly care about people and not “policy”!!! Soooo disappointed, family eye used to be a good place to go! If I could have given it zero stars I would!!!! CLEARLY NOT “FAMILY” oriented at all!!!!

DO NOT GO TO CRAWFORD COUNTY FAMILY EYE CARE!!! This is a total rip off and waste of money. They are very secretive about info that pay for because they want you to spend your money on their over-priced frames. They don't want to give your prescription, and when they do, they leave off important info. When I called them and requested it, they wanted to charge me $10. Thats on top of the $750 I had already paid them. The best thing you could do is go to America's Best, or Wal-Mart, get your prescription and buy online.

Not aloud to bring my son who is 7 in with me for my eye exam due to Covid. Can't find a sitter so missed my appointment... Loved my eye doctor but other then that the staff is oddly strict and rude about entering through the rear taking temperatures, masks etc. Finding somewhere else to go.

Weirdly enter a back door.
Ring a door bell.
Greeted.
Take temperature.
All I wanted to do was browse their children's selection and if they had something I was looking for, make an appointment.
Brought in and the DOCTOR made me leave because I didn't have an appointment.
This place is rude and clearly not in the market for new patients.
Save your time and go elsewhere.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. The “family” eye doctor that told my mother she “stunk” because of the scent of her WORK! My mom works at Covert Manufacturing in Galion, Ohio (they work with semi parts that SMELL LIKE MILDEW — NOT SKUNKS!) They send their employees to Crawford County Family Eye Care, but this will be changing soon because this establishment doesn’t have the respect of their paying customers.
