Green Toad Bookstore

One of my favorite places to visit on Main St.
This is so much more than a bookstore. Fabulous, well-organized selection of books. (If they don’t have it in stock they will order it for you) Plus, unique gifts, toys and crafts for kids. Next door, connected to the Green Toad, is the Latte Cafe where you can grab a drink and snack while you enjoy your book purchase. I could happily spend an afternoon within these walls.

Oh man what a cool bookstore. The selection is incredible for such a small space and they go the extra mile with things like handwritten book descriptions stuck in featured books. Whoever curated their shelves did an amazing job.

Wonderfully organized friendly locally owned bookstore right on Main Street! They have any where from children to adult books 📚! Also they have the coolest unique gifts as well! I found this beautiful read there!

Visiting here from downstate and love to shop at and support local businesses, especially bookstores! I was in search of local history but ended up adding an ADK Catskills mountain guide and set of NY/NJ Trail Conference hiking maps to my collection from here. It is a family owned and run business with a good selection and the owners and staff were very helpful and overheard them helping folks over the phone as well.

Always so much to look at inside the store. Books, trinkets, eclectic fare, and amazement beholds the eyes. Take your time going through this store as you're bound to find something(s) you love!!!!

Adorable little bookstore. I stopped in on my way across NY. The staffer was incredibly helpful and patient as I wandered around asking for specific topics and titles. She offered to order anything they didn't have on hand. I highly recommend if only to peruse. Cute bookstores like this are a rare joy.

A great little book store in downtown Oneonta, the staff is friendly and helpful. If you can't find something the will order it, they bring service back to business. Customers matter, not just a sale. A great atmosphere to sit and read too.

Lovely bookstore with lots of variety, very friendly.

They have a great book selection and numerous cute gift ideas. My favorite is the local writers' shelf. The second favorite is the inside connection to Latte Lounge - a gem!

great selection, high quality knick-knacks to boot! In addition to very inviting atmosphere, the latte lounge adjacent renders one's senses into a pleasantly relaxed state upon entry, when the aromatic scent of multiple styles of brewed coffee wafts over to the entrance. The staff was attentive, but not invasive, and informative and friendly. The loyalty program certainly piqued my interest and Ill be sure to visit again when I need to bolster my bookcase! Thank you for a wonderful all-encompassing hometown bookstore experience.

A delightful bookstore with a great staff and a great atmosphere. They always have interesting things in stock, and if they don't have something I want, they order it and it comes in quickly! I love this place and always pop in, even when I'm downtown doing something else.

Great local bookstore with more than books! The owner is super nice and they can order you just about any book you want! Gift selection is also top notch

In the current age of big box bookstores, it is so refreshing to find a cozy bookstore with warmth and friendly faces. Brilliantly located next to and connected with a coffee shop, this is a great place to spend some time. Nicely decorated and just large enough to find a book you'll love, it's the perfect accent to Main Street Oneonta. Can't say enough good things about the staff either. They love being there and they know their inventory very well.

They have a nice selection of books. Staff is friendly and more than willing to help with any book selection. The place is connected with the coffee shop which is always "a good thing" as Martha would say.

Will have all popular titles desired. If not, they will order for you at a competitive price and a timely fashion. Store is eloquently decorated making it a very comfortable and inviting experience. It also connects with a very good coffee shop next door during business hours. Excellent locally owned business.
