Sand Lake Resort

What a great spot! Resort amenities were great. Cabin was clean and Cozy and well stocked. Managers were attentive to all our needs, friendly and always attending to resort upkeep. Private beach was one of the best we have experienced in our 19 years of resort stays. Would have reserved for following year if it wasn’t already booked out. We had a great time! Would highly recommend staying there!

We have been here approximately 4 times and always a great time. A great place for family reunions or just to get away to relax. We love all that the resort has to offer. The cozy feelings of the cabins and houses and enjoying a night out by the fire pit. We stayed in Rockwood cabin this time and it was cozy and had everything we needed. The cabin was clean and cared for. The managers Mike and Katie were spectacular, they were friendly and always out doing something around the resort. We hope they stay for years to come. Always enjoy being greeted by such friendly faces. We love the serenity of sitting out by the water early in the morning, enjoying a cup of coffee and enjoying all the peaceful views. Then during the day, enjoying the kayaks, paddle boats and boards that are offered to use. The siting area by the beach is wonderful to sit and watch the kids and visit with people. We love that they have pontoons to rent. They used to have fishing boats to rent and that would be great to get those back for the smaller group that wants to fish. This is by far our favorite resort and hope it continues for generations to come.

This was our 1st time at this beautiful resort and we look forward to returning! The owners are friendly, welcoming and conscientious. The cabins were clean & well stocked. The beach is beautifully set up for family fun including canoes, kayaks, paddle boats & more!

Wonderful place for families, so many fun things to do, in a lovely location with easy access to grocery stores and gas. Everyone was kind, friendly and respected your space. Very nice , well kept sandy beach, nice little play areas for children with comfortable sitting for adults to supervise and visit on the beach and middle of the court yard. Definitely a place to look up and stay at least once but like most of us you will be back each year. Ample parking, game room, grills, areas for camp fires and videos that it's doubtful you'll have time to watch.

LOVED this resort!! It was the perfect location for our family to meet at and had rv sites + different sized cabins to meet everyone's needs. My brother even tented behind a cabin! These types of resorts are very hard to come by these days. Some of our family did a day trip up to Duluth, but the resort had tons of activities the kids could do all day long and never got bored. Think outside activities and not playing on their tablets in the cabin all day. They were able to catch sunnies off the doc, swim in the lake, take the kayaks and paddle boats out, play in the game room, hang out at the sand volleyball court, and we had family meals outside every morning and night. We will definitely be coming back hoping it's available again next year!!!! The new management staff was absolutely spectacular and so accommodating and nice. This resort really felt like a small town "home" being so welcoming. Thank you so much!!

Decided to stay at the Sand Lake Resort for a few nights on a fishing trip, and the experience was wonderful! We had stayed at the Cozy Cabin that had an awesome lake view. I loved the authentic log cabin and the fact the lake was just steps away. The resort offers a great area to do some swimming as well as multiple docks to fish off. I would highly recommend spending a little extra money for the better boat as it was well worth it! The customer service was extraordinary and they quickly addressed any concerns that we had! Not only was the experience at the resort great, but it is also conveniently located a short drive from Moose Lake for store runs. The fishing on the lake was awesome and managed to catch fish all over the lake. I would definitely look at coming back here again as it is a great place to stay, whether you are looking for a big fishing adventure or to take a nice family vacation with the kids.

Our 4th year. Managers Katie and Mike are awesome. They go over and above to make you welcome. Cabin was spotless, beach amazing and the fishing was good. We hope to get back next year. It’s become our family summer highlight. Thanks to staff for making is a great vacation.

The fishing was excellent over 100 fish boated !! We stayed in the cozy cabin and what a view it had ! Right along the shore line. Although the cabin could use some steak knifes 😉. The grill provided was amazing and everything else about the cabin was good! Love the old school log cabin.. we also rented a pontoon for our 3 day stay and that topped the cake for us! The prices were just right and fair! Usually over priced but not here! Highly suggest renting the more expensive pontoon you will be satisfied! Kayaks, paddle boards, and many other water toys available for use at NO COST!!! The Management Team there Ross and Mandy provide TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anytime we had any issues they were resolved immediately they take absolute pride when caring for their customers! I could have asked for a much better experience at Sand Lake Resort and i will be back! Thank you tons Ross and Mandy hope to see you guys next time!

Mandy and Ross are amazing. They kept my family so comfortable during our stay. They were up early raking the sand, made sure everything was perfect. I'll definitely stay again. Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars!

Great vacation spot especially for families or gatherings! Lots of activities such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats, motorized speed and fishing boats, pontoon boats, kid and family friendly beach with a unique level layout to give everyone a moderate amount of personal space, fire pits, grills, volleyball and basketball courts and so much more. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful when in need of anything! Cabins range from classic log to more modern designs and sizes of 2-18. This is the perfect place for honeymoons, family vacations, and family gatherings. Its unique spacious and friendly. Perfect for ages 0-90+ depending on physical condition. Our family had a blast while we were there and plan on going for years to come!

Our family has rented 4 different cabins and this was our 5th year here. Each has their own uniqueness and fit our need every year. Love the views and we always felt we had privacy. Plenty of dock space for us to bring and store our boats. Will be making reservations again for our 6th year!

The managers have done their job in making this an outstanding place to stay. Multiple docks, pontoon boats, plus regular fishing boats (with or without motors), an endless list of fun items for kids to use or play with. Any request is handled promptly and with a smile. I hope it never changes. This is our third stay in four years, remarkable improvements each time we returned. Patty, you are the best thing to happen here.

Glad we found Sand Lake Resort! Cozy cabins next to the Lake, offering a great view as you sip your morning coffee. Sunsets are just as majestic. Ross, and Mandy are accommodating hosts, willing to help out. Great time! We will be back again.

We stayed here for four days during our wedding. SUCH A GREAT PLACE. Really really kind staff. Cabins were beautiful and perfect. Well maintained. We loved it and will be back!

Very clean and comfortable premise. Cabins are comfortable and the beach is very accessible. Adequate space to move around in without bothering neighbors and toys, kayaks, and other fun stuff is provided by establishment.

We had our daughter's wedding on the beach here! It was lovely! And many of our guests stayed in the cabins here. Very accommodating.

Patty,the Resort caretaker, is phenomenal! She makes sure each cabin is in perfect order when people arrive. She will definitely be missed when she is done! I'm sure whom ever she trains in will do an excellent job.

Staff was very helpful, patient and kind. Pricing was fair and they have boat rentals at fair pricing. Cabins are clean and I will be returning for a 3rd year.

The whole weekend was wonderful. Lake is beautiful, people are so happy. Staff is courteous and friendly and helpful.
