Plums Neighborhood Grill & Bar

Plums is retro, and I'm fine with this. A long time survivor in a diverse urban area, it offers a no frills refuge from upscale/pricey joints and artisan food boutiques. With dim lighting, and furnishings that are just a bit shabby, it's still a warm, comfortable place to get drink and food at very reasonable prices. They offer a wide range of beer and liquor, and the food is fine.....if unspectacular (Note: your fries are overcooked). You'll drink with a pleasant mix of locals, college kids and Summit Hill Elites, but the vibe is easygoing. I'm new to the Highland area, only been here 15 years, but this is my first choice for gettin' a beer and watching a game. I'm a fan of Plums. I recommend it.

Food and service was very good. The food was perfect. We will be back. The only thing that was not perfect would have to be that it turns into a college sports bar on Saturdays. I asked if it was a fluke or if every weekend was college focused. IT WAS A YES. . SO WORTH IT THOUGH.

Great local bar - and great wings!! I'm a little picky about my wings and these were well done and tasty! Of course, lots of drink choices, pull tabs, and a White Claw machine if you're feeling lucky!

Met retired gals from work. Haven't been there since before pandemic. It's a comfortable neighborhood bar with a nice patio on two busy streets. You can hear people talk and be relaxed. Service great. Food very good and plentiful. Don't wear a suit.😉

Came here on Friday night as other places we’d tried were packed. They were busy but accommodating and the ambience was pleasant. Waitress was friendly and attentive, food was very good and portions extremely generous. A really nice experience after a frustrating night of trying to find somewhere for dinner. Will definitely be back.

Overall great experience! They may have slapped a lil too much mayo on my burger but it was still good!

Happy that they have a dart board, especially after Tiffs got rid of theirs. Nice big location with a patio and a dance floor, although I rarely see it used. Bartenders are pretty friendly. Prices are reasonable. Good place to go have a drink after work.

Needed burgers and a Guiness. Great service, excellent burgers. Nice to have so many choices for sides--tater tots, fries, waffle fries, sweet potato fries or salad for a buck or two more. (Chips come with sandwiches otherwise.) If you want sports, there were 6 or 8 TVs with different sports on each! The background music was not obtrusive, so that was good to be able to talk and not have to yell to be heard. Oh, and the Guinness was poured perfectly. All in all, it was great and more people should be eating dinner there! (My only concern is that there are different floor levels and they should have some bright safety tape to indicate that you may have to step down or step up.)

It's a cool bar and grill.
I had the grilled chicken and avocado and fries, and a coke. The fries were hand cut fries. Service was fast and friendly.
I will definitely go back.

Very good experience, great service for our Tuesday night birthday outing with some old friends. Very accommodating. One friend had his young daughter and the server was very thoughtful and brought her a coloring book.

Great friendly bar. Bob Nelson (Bartender) is the best. Although I don't go there as often as I did years ago...it still has a good vibe. Square bar is great for meeting new people. Cheers!

Great corner bar for a few…

Plums is the best bar ever. Sure, it could use some updating, and yeah, there are a few too many Tommies hanging around on Saturday nights, but it hits all the right spots: Prices are reasonable and the weekly deals are great, TVs all around and bartenders play the games you want, the location is perfect, the beer selection is solid, they can actually make cocktails, and the food is adequate. The burgers are a highlight.

Thanks to Kevin, Julie, & Matt I've always had excellent experience... sociable, friendly, and make it a favorite neighborhood restaurant/bar for many...and weather permitting, they have a wonderful outdoor patio!!

Had a great late Sunday steak dinner and it was really amazing. The place was very clean and staff was very friendly and professional. I also enjoyed the live music they had going on and it was a great overall experience.

Good service, good food. Lots of variety on the menu. I'm glad to see it's getting busy again!
