3rd Street Tavern

I've been eating here at least once a month lately and have not been disappointed at all. I really enjoy their smoked buffalo wings, which I don't have a photo of because there is no time to waste before eating them. Highly recommend to anyone.

Food was delicious. Best tasting burger we have had in a long time! Cubano sandwich was good too. Their fries have good flavor as well. Love the option to use a towel in the bathroom instead of paper.

Just had to stop for lunch on the way back to the cities and I highly recommend! Had a great variety of classic bbq and other foods with great service and nice staff. Overall pleasant and satisfying experience! Bbq sauce was also fantastic!

I loved every moment or eating here. I don't necessarily think the food was the best for me. 99% of it was good but I had a few things that weren't my taste. HOWEVER, I entirely believe that it was just a personal taste or preference, I think the food was absolutely spectacular, there were just a couple items that weren't my favorite but may be your favorite. Nothing was gross, nothing was not edible. You may very well enjoy everything, I know I enjoyed almost everything.

Nice spot to eat! Good food, varied menu. Known for the bar-be-que. Good appetizers, nice salads, good desserts (state fair donuts!). Varied drink menu with specialty drinks. Nice atmosphere, clean, welcoming, good staff. Reasonable prices. Will be happy to fine there again.

I will be back to try the food. Just stopped on. A whim to see the building. Very cool place!

highly recommend the Hog Heaven. perfectly smoked pulled pork topped with excellent Cole slaw. The Bloddy Mary's are awesome and excellent service even with our group of over 20!

This was our first visit. The food was amazing and the service was stellar. Garrett took great care of us. I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and by far it was the best I've ever had. The serving size was very generous and the cost was reasonable! Can't wait to go back!

This beastly brisket behemoth has a title: The Lone Star. Yeah I know, interest rates are rising and some menu prices are goin’ up. But I’d still take out a loan to eat this star sandwich 😉😅

Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich 🍗 🍟 Buttermilk marinated chicken, battered, fried and served on a bun topped with coleslaw and herb mayo

Meat Platter 🥩 🍖 🍞 with a LOT of stuff

And Fried pickles 🥒 aka Eggroll pickle spears and pepper jack cheese served with sriracha ranch.

This place is no joke and all smoke 🔥 The moment you enter ya know you’re in a barbecue establishment. One particular positive note is that it didn’t seem too loud, which was more conducive to conversation.

My order was indeed to Lone Star, but I didn’t feel alone at all with this comfort dish 😬🤣 The brisket was tender while still flavorful and hearty. Onions and aioli were absolute perfect partners here, serving as savory, rich additions to an already almost-overboard sandwich (in a good way, of course:)

The chicken sandwich got mostly compliments from its consumer… once they sent out a replacement that followed the orderers instructions 😤 But here’s the rule for this reviewer: if they fix it, you betcha I’ll forgive and forget it. In the end, we said this sandwich stood out 👌

And what could be the matter with a giant meat platter?! 😆 I didn’t hear any complaints from the diners who downed this doozie. Specific praise goes to the au gratin potatoes and pulled pork 👏

And finally, the funky finale, which was not in the ordinary chip-style. It was also PHENOMENAL 💯

Despite the name, in terms of Saint Peter barbecue, 3rd street comes in first.

Could not have picked a better place for a stop on our long road trip. The food was so good that I would go out of my way to make a stop there on our way home. We got the chicken sandwich and the cajun fettuccine - two these that are generally not something to write home about but they were FANTASTIC. The service was great and the decore of this place was super cool.

This place has the best BBQ and brisket! The atmosphere is wonderful. This place even has real towels in the bathroom! 3rd street tavern is now on my radar!

Amazing experience in a historic setting! Food was delicious and their signature cocktails were unique and flavorful. Beef brisket was some of the best I’ve had. Parking is easy with parking lot or street parking. Service was outstanding, Jess was awesome! Definitely recommend if looking for a great place for drinks and amazing food in a cool atmosphere!

always meet at the 3rd Street Tavern for lunch, same time , same place. Our favorite server is Mande. Always ask to sit in her area. We've changed the name of your restaurant to Mande's! She's the Best (and so is your food).

Our family visits regularly and we leave happy (and full) every time! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!

Out of town visitors looking for a place we could have dinner with our furry friends. This place didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing and our fur babies were so welcome. Service was top notch! Will definitely be a return patron.

A perfect trifecta of culinary enjoyment.
The service was superb and the ambiance was spot on for the venue, which is a quintessential early American Pub complete with a 19th 20th century Barbers Chair and I imagine it's like the one Doc Holiday used.
We were greeted with an enormous grin by a tall handsome young man named William and he was also our server. Our lunch arrived fast, hot and so freshly homemade.
The portions were perfect not to much not too little.
I ordered a Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had.The fries are handcut and oh so homemade with just the right amount of seasoning. Husband ordered a Smoked Pork Sandwich that was absolutely perfect and so was my sisters Fish and Chips were fried to perfection and full of flavor.
I recommend the 3rd Street Tavern to all and I don't even need to from the length of line of patrons coming through the door as were heading out.

Great place for a date. Food was incredible, server was the nicest and happiest guy I've ever met. Food is pretty expensive but it seems like everything is made in house and tasted excellent. Will definitely come here again!

3rd Street Tavern is really a find in St. Peter. The food and beer selection is excellent. They have many local brews. The barbeque is outstanding. I had a brisket sandwich that was just mouth watering good. The service was friendly and efficient. The prices are very reasonable.
