Came up with a friend for a 3 night 4 days. Loved our cabin and location. We stayed in cabin 1, which is 1 of 3 cabins on the peninsula. Definitely take some kind of wagon to haul your gear in with you or try to pack as little as possible. It was so quiet and peaceful. Will be back. There was a pit toilet very well maintained and clean along with a hand well pump.

My kids and I stayed in cabin 5 at Little Presque Isle Cabins. The parking spot for cabin 5 is a bit farther down then google maps tells you. You will see signs for it. Once you’re there, there are three trails. The farthest left trail is a foot trail. This trail will lead you to the cabin however it’s definitely not the trail to use if you’re hauling anything or pulling a wagon. The middle trail also leads to the cabins and is wider, for a vehicle but blocked off.

The water pump and outhouse are both fairly close to the cabin. Water pump gives murky water so we brought our own to cook with. Toilet stinks even more than you’d imagine so prepare yourself.

Bring plenty of mosquito spray.

There is not any cell service.

It is beautiful, secluded, and totally worth the stay!

Perfect place to spend a couple of nights while exploring Marquette and Lake Superior. We stayed in cabin #3 which was the furthest of cabins 1-3 from the parking lot. Easy enough walk to the cabins from the lot and they provide a pump for water and large shed of firewood for heating the woodburning stove. Would recommend bringing lanterns and tent lights to light up the cabin as there is no electricity. Cabin itself was clean and the woodburning stove had no problem heating the place up!

We stayed in cabin 3 and it was beautiful. Hike in with our 2.5 your old was just long enough. Vault toliet is well maintained. Bring plenty of battery or solar lights to hang in the cabin. Loved that we had no service and that there was a spot you can launch a canoe or kayak.

I absolutely love taking my family here. Just came back from our second trip to the cabins and I already miss it. It's a wonderful experience to unplug, disconnect from technology and get back to nature, where your only major concerns are fire, food, and water. The view from the cabin out to the lake and beyond is majestic and magnificent, the lake is filled with fish, the air is clean and crisp, and the cabins are nice and cozy. The walk back to the cabins seems like a hike, but it is worth it. I'm just glad I was able to give my kids this experience. Definitely, definitely gonna be coming back again.

My uncle, cousins, and I stay at these cabins every year as a sort of tradition and we always have SO much fun!
No electricity or water, just the stove, beds, and a table and its always such an amazing experience. Although the outhouse is really far away, the cabins make up for it in the stories you take from the trip. I SO recommend staying a night in the cabins (even in the winter like us)! We are actually going in a few weeks and I cant wait!

Love this place. The little lake is perfect for kyaking and swimming with the kiddos. the cabins are clean and spacious. The vaulted toilets are nice for vaulted toilets. The walk from the parking area to the cabins was much easier than anticipated.

Great stay. However, the mosquitoes in July are pretty abundant, bring bug spray.

A rustic little spot just off 553 that friends and family can enjoy for a stay that includes fishing and trails.
