One of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited! Serene and enchanting with very well groomed hiking trails. A very nice sandy beach, at least 2 miles long. This place is great for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking as long as the wind is cooperating. The water is crystal clear. The forest is absolutely gorgeous! Two parking areas with pit toilets. You will need a Michigan recreation pass which can be purchased at any state campground for $39.

Beautiful and serene. Well marked and easy to traverse trails/paths. Great area for picnics and nature observation!

Little Presque Isle is a great place for a quick hike or some time on the beach. While I believe you can drive out, the trails from the Big Bay road are very nice, giving you a chance to see the woods.

Every year we visit Marquette during our annual family UP trip. We love the city, but we love Black rocks on the Isle more! We all jump, and swim in the little bay! It's cold but beautiful! We could easily spend a whole day at black rocks! Love, love, love!

An awesome Lake Superior beach. Awesome for dogs too. Must be leashed though.

I’ll be back for sure. Lovely views and the opportunity to Wade out to the island is priceless. Pit toilets only here. No camping and that’s good

We stopped here to get a geocache and have a picnic lunch. The parking is a nightmare, and there are no picnic tables, but the beach is beautiful! Amazing view of the island. No camping, just a day use area.

Little Presque Isle is a must see if you are visiting Marquette! It is just 15 minutes from town and offers a huge beach and an unique island to explore. At the west end of the beach you can wade through Superior to the island as the water only reaches about to the belly button. I am 6’5” and it reached only by hips (my wife who is 5’6” had it to her belly button). There is a nice trail around the island for great views. Parking is right there but as it is a state park facility, the cost is $9 for a single day out of state resident (cash only).

Very cool place to be on the beach and swim in Lake Superior. You must have a Parks Passport pass to park here.

Well kept city park on lake Superior. Walk or drive around it. Walking is more enjoyable so check their website for vehicle hour restrictions. You can walk anytime it's better w/o the cars though. Not even 2 miles around but has good hill to climb😉
