My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Terramor the last weekend of September. We had a fantastic experience! The proximity to Acadia National Park made our day outings quick and easy. The tents were wonderful and well appointed. We were comfortable even in the late September weather. The lodge was a cozy place to eat dinner, have a drink and relax. We especially enjoyed ending our day in the hot tub! We highly recommend Terramor and hope to visit again in the future.

We had such a great stay at Terramor. It was the perfect blend of the outdoor experience with luxury amenities. The whole operation is incredibly efficient and organized, and it seems no detail was spared when they curated the resort. The tents as well as the grounds are beautiful and well thought out. I was worried about getting cold in the open shower, but each tent has their own tankless water heater, so I could have my water as scalding as I wanted for as long as I wanted. Even the hairdryer was so much better than the cheap, one-temperature types you typically see in hotels. The space heater helped keep the temperature comfortable when the temps got into the 50s overnight. We did have quite a few spiders in our tent, so I wish the tents closed up a littler better, but we accepted it as part of being in the great outdoors and handled it just fine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also loved their gift shop selections, and the prices were very reasonable. We without a doubt will be staying here again in the future.

We stated 3 nights. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional. The free breakfast and hot tub a real plus. The Lodge is an excellent place to eat and relax. Especially liked the quiet hours after 10:00 pm. The location to Acadia and Bar Harbor can't be beat

The cabins were beautiful, well maintained, cozy, and clean. The space heaters kept it perfectly warm. We loved our personal firepit. We had trouble getting our fire started but the wood was too wet so someone was so nice and came by our campsite to help get a fire started. Everyone that worked there was friendly and willing to help. The lodge was cozy and had live music at night. There were board games and telescopes. There were yard games. We also used to pool and hot tub, both perfectly warm. This was my first time making drip coffee and it came out great. I was definitely recommend this place and will be coming back

This is the perfect glamping experience my husband and I had. The tents very beautiful and cozy. We earlier planned stay for 2 nights here but we liked the place so much that we extended our stay. And the people in Terramor are very friendly and nice. We will definitely visit again.

My wife and I stayed here last night. It was the best place we've ever been to on Mt. Desert Island. It's important to realize we've stayed at no less than 20 or 25 rentals, motels, hotels, etc. in the past five years.

This is a long review because I want to share with you how dumbstruck I was by this resort that I've driven past no less than 100 times on Route 102.

First and foremost, this is a glamping experience. I made a fool of myself at checkin asking for a key. Carol was working the front desk. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and explained everything. Without causing me any embarrassment, she said,
"Mr. Carter, it's a zipper. You're staying in a tent." That's how engrained the behavior is staying at traditional places that have doors instead of tent flaps. It's my hope you get to talk with Carol when you checkin. She's a gem. I told the GM of Terramor that they need to do everything possible to keep Carol as part of the team. But I digress.

The raised tents are luxurious. Every detail has been thought through down to the location of discrete light switches on the backsplash of the double vanities. The shower stall is enormous. It only has two walls and probably measures 6 x 6 feet. There are three different shower heads and unlimited hot water provided by a tankless water heater.

The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows.

After moving my gear into our tent, I wandered around our tent area with my dog. Immediately I was rewarded with the aroma of a nearby campfire. In one second I was taken back sixty years to my first Boy Scout campout. The next morning the same thing happened as I heard muffled conversations drifting from nearby tents. It was a delightful sensory time-travel trip.

There is no hard pavement, just wonderful and magical crushed-stone paths. Trees are everywhere and separate you from the other glampers by at least 50-75 feet in most cases.

Our stay here was last-minute because we had booked a 2-night stay in a Vrbo house that was worse than a Motel 6. We moved out after the first night it was so bad. Had I known I was coming to Terramor, I would have packed a swimsuit for the heated pool and hot tub.

The main lodge is unbelievable. You can borrow telescopes to view the Milky Way Galaxy. Stoke up a fire in the outdoor pavilion if you've come with a group. Do yoga in the pavilion with new friends you meet. I could go on and on and on, but I want you to experience some of the wonderful sensory candy for yourself.

Bottom line: You must stay here on your next trip to MDI. Finally, I received NO COMPENSATION for this review. I only took this much time because it was the best and most unique lodging experience I've had on Mt. Desert Island. I guarantee you that you'll love this kid-friendly experience.

P.S. If you arrive at dusk, you'll think you're on a movie set for magical fantasy pixie movie. I don't want to give away why, just come and see for yourself.

We had a wonderful experience at Terramor. Our group stayed in the Moosewood tent, we had plenty of room for our group of four. The outdoor shower and private fire pit were some of our favorite features. The tents come equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay (and then some!) we used both portable heaters, the cooler, the incredible fellow tea kettle and chemex for pour overs. The service was exceptional and we enjoyed the nightly programming (stargazing and music by John Tercyak). Looking forward to seeing what comes next for the Terramor brand!

What an amazing experience! This was our first time staying at an outdoor place and it was better than the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, it seemed like it wasn’t even their job they genuinely enjoyed working! The bee event was the absolute coolest I learned so much. The pool and hot tub were the best I’ve seen at a resort the temperature was perfect, they were clean, the landscaping was beautiful.

Upscale glamping experience. Great amenities! Especially fun for families with kids. Heated pool, hot tub, food, bar, breakfast at the pavilion. Fun daily planned activities. Pet friendly. Helpful, friendly staff. Tent "cabins" are quite comfortable! Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia.

A wonderful experience all around. We came with our four year old and found the environment to be welcoming to kids but still relaxing and luxurious for adults. The tents were pristine, well-designed, and full of thoughtful amenities like fresh robes, a noise machine, pour-over coffee, and comfortable beds and linens. Don't miss out of the massage services, which were so refreshing after a day of hiking! The food in the restaurant was delicious and the complimentary breakfast before a day of exploring Acadia was very appreciated. The staff was helpful and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again.

We just returned home from a 3 night stay - it was an absolute dream vacation! Well laid out campsites provided the best of hotel comfort while enjoying the beauty of sleeping in the woods. Lots of small details show that a lot of thought went into making guests comfortable- RTIC coolers in tent, readily available ice, hiking poles and other gear available to sign out, etc. Our dog even got a welcome bag! Great location on Mt Desert Island, with easy access to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We can’t wait to go back!

What a relaxing and great experience at Terramor! We only 25 minutes from Acadia. The tents were luxurious, fully equipped with everything we needed, and very comfortable! They had free events going on every day. Especially really enjoyed the morning yoga. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There were quite a bit of mosquitoes so bring and use lots of bug spray if you are a bit magnet like me. My only suggestion for Terramor is to add luggage carts for check-in and check-out.

We are so glad we booked Terramor for our trip to Acadia and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations in the area! The "tents" are stunning, clean, and so luxurious, the food and drinks served in the lodge (which is beautiful) are top notch, the staff are beyond friendly and helpful, and the resort gives you the quintessential Maine camping experience with all of the luxuries and comforts of a resort. We ran into some cold early June weather and between the blankets, space heaters, and the world's comfiest bed, we slept extremely well and were well rested for our adventures at the park. Breakfast is complimentary with a wide selection of food, and the lattes available for purchase are delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place, especially the staff - shout out to Savannah for helping my husband & I celebrate our anniversary our first night there, and to Bobby for making the best mojito I've ever had! We will absolutely be back in the future and will recommend Terramor to everyone!

Absolutely loved our first trip to Terramor during their 2023 opening weekend. Our tent accommodations were so cozy and comfy after a long day hiking in Acadia. The extra blankets and space heaters helped keep us warm on the chilly May mornings. Having access to unlimited fire wood and ice was so convenient. We wish it was a warmer so we could have used the beautiful pool area. The boardwalk and common areas are very well kept. All of the staff were super friendly, attentive and happy to help. Wish they would allow cooking at individual campsites but realize that they are trying to minimize wildlife impact. Just need to be prepared to budget to eat out for most meals or take advantage of the complimentary continental breakfast and on-site food options. Definitely will be coming back for a longer stay to enjoy Bar Harbor and the local sites!

Spent three days two nights with a group of 14 guys for a bachelor party. The property and facilities are beautiful! More importantly, the staff was very friendly and super accommodating. Alexandria and Dokuson (I butchered his name, I'm sorry) at the front desk were awesome - from the moment we walked in to check out; smiling, upbeat and super friendly. Even with a group as large as ours, the team was always happy to see us and went out of their way multiple times to accommodate us, including delivering our dinner to the pavilion when the lodge was at capacity. 100000/100000 would recommend and cannot wait to visit again!

Terramor is the ultimate glamping experience. The tents in October have crisp air in the morning with options for space heaters. Ice and wood included and the restaurant is awesome. Perfect for a mix camping and luxury.

We had an excellent stay at Terramor and wished we’d stayed longer (we spent half the trip at a VRBO in Bar Harbor and half at Terramor)
The whole resort is beautiful and peaceful (we were in B loop) and had everything we needed. All the little touches in the tent went a long way…robes, pour over coffee, coffee/cocktail cups, a cooler (that was easily brought with us while enjoying Acadia), bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, TP, tissues, make up remover towel) they seriously thought of everything! I appreciated the 2 space heaters, there was also a lantern and noise machine. We had more amenities in our tent than our VRBO! The bed was SO comfortable! The only addition I could suggest is a heated blanket for those cold nights when you first get in bed. Personally, I didn’t spend much time in the tent (just to sleep) and that’s where an electric blanket would have been more useful than the space heaters.
All the staff was extremely helpful and personable… we loved chatting with Elijah and Bobby makes the best cocktails. All the food was fantastic including the breakfast….fresh fruit (strawberries/blueberries) that was actually good/edible (not like mushy apples and overripe bananas you often find at a continental breakfast) oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt etc. very nicely done. They also included Ice, firewood, lots of fun board games in the lodge, corn hole outside, equipment (backpacks, telescopes, chairs) to rent out (at no additional cost) for the day. I did not bring my kids on this trip but it would be a great place to bring kids. The price point for everything that was included was extremely reasonable and if I ever came back to Maine, I would skip the Vrbo or bed and breakfast and stay here the whole time! I’d also stay at Terramor resorts in the future if they expand locations. It’s like a KOA on steroids with a side of luxury and you will not be disappointed!

Love love loved everything about terramor! The tents are gorgeous and very clean, you can tell the housekeeping cares about what they’re doing. The hikes around the area are fun and have a wide range of mountain summits or strolls. Everyone that we talked with was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was nice and fresh and if you’re looking to get the best experience at terramor for dining make sure to sit up at the bar because Bobby the bartender and Savannah the pizza girl will keep you entertained the whole time! (Plus the drinks and pizza hit the spot just right) . We will be back and telling our friends about how awesome the experience here was

After 4 hard days of hiking Acadia, my family was delighted to be pampered for a night at Terramor. We started with dinner in the lodge. We nabbed seats right by the indoor fireplace, and were so cozy, we played a few board games after dinner. We followed this up with a trip to the hot tube, and then returned to our tent to enjoy the firepit. We slept well, with the rain drumming on the canvas roof of the tent. We rented a Birch tent, and the bathroom was fantastic. Excellent sinks and shower. Breakfast was included, and was full of fresh food. The entire family made multiple trips. Staff was friendly, courteous, and eager to please. Terramor promotes themselves as luxury glamping, and they did not disappoint!
