We really enjoyed our stay there. It’s really close to Portland (15 minutes) and we could easily move between our hotel and the places we wanted to see. Staff was friendly as well. The cafe next door is really convenient and good. The place is pretty and has good views. My only complaint is that the pool wasn’t open (middle of July) and that the room’s AC was a bit loud, but other than that I have nothing to complain about. I really recommend this if you’re looking for something not too expensive and that is close to Portland and other activities (Bradbury mountain, desert of Maine, Freeport, etc) !! :)

This is a nice location with good views across the salt marshes and convenient to Route 295 and downtown Freeport. The small cafe next door is excellent with the best breakfasts in the area. Good value and a smart place to bunk when visiting this pretty little town.

I've stayed at a lot of Best Western brand hotels and this is the BEST! The bathroom was pristine and the bed was the right firmness. I highly recommend the Freeport location if you're in Maine.

Great location. Amazing Views. Comfortable and clean rooms. Fransisco at the front desk is very friendly and helped my family with everything we needed. Management is excellent and the vibe and atmosphere is incredible. Fransisco recommended a great restaurant called Muddy Rudders for my birthday. Place is walking distance from the hotel and has amazing food. Great place to stay. Very relaxing and close to everything. Portland and downtown Freeport. Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Big Thank You for a wonderful time. Happy Day.

I am not sure why this hotel was not rated higher. My 15 year old and I found the stay very enjoyable. The room was clean with a nice, sleek, modern design. The beds were very comfy with a soft pillow top The service was friendly even after a very late check in at 1am! Also, the additional pet fee was only $25 where other hotels have tried to charge over $100.

The guy at the front desk is what I call a golden hire. I messed up my reservation online and he fixed it flawlessly. He is quick, professional, kind, and down to earth. He deserves a good wage.

Of all hotels I’ve stayed at, overall this has the most value, hands down.

The rooms are all virtually brand new. Very, very quiet. Room was immaculately cleaned and maintained the entire time we stayed there. Considering how close to I-295 it is, there was no road noise. One of the nicest places I've stayed in a long time. My only ding is that the room cards seemed to decide to stop working. Fortunately it was always just one card. Will stay here again.

love this hotel! it's such an amazing price for the location and cleanliness. they have two locations so you can experience two different views. a cafe near one and a restaurant near the other, both seem to have great ambiance. recommend for lone travelers.

I booked here at the last moment (just a few hours before I’d arrive) and I have to say I was impressed. I was slightly hesitant with the reviews, but given my situation I was willing to give it a shot.

The staff at the front desk were helpful and kind, and responsive. I had to call at one point for help with the internet and they fixed my issue immediately.

The room was clean and ready when we got there, except for a few small hairs in the tub. Honestly, in all the hotels I’ve stayed in recently this is the only one without a single hair in the bed so one tub hair isn’t going to ruin my day.

One star for location because being next to a salt marsh, it smelled a bit swampy in the room. But that’s the reality of being next to the ocean! And we actually had to drive to a separate building to get to our room which I thought was odd but not too annoying.

Other than water leaking from the toilet, the room was great. No elevator, you have to climb stairs & carry your luggage to the second floor.

On an epic 1700 mile/4 day road trip, you really need your sleep and of all the hotels/motels we stayed in on our trip this was by far the best. The rooms were decent, somewhat newly updated and clean.I had a dog with me, and this place is pet friendly. The view wasn't bad either. Would definitely recommend this place if you need a place to stay in the area or are traveling through.

An initial mistake with check in was rectified quickly and without too much problem.

Overall we were very happy with our trip and our stay at this cute little Inn on the hill, overlooking the Muddy Rudder.

The desk supervisor named Kellie did an outstanding job in getting us a room and getting us situated. This hotel is very clean and I felt very comfortable staying at this hotel. If you’re in Freeport Texas I highly recommend getting a room at the Best Western Plus Hotel! You will not be disappointed! I would definitely ask for the desk supervisor Kellie she will get you taken care of!
From the beginning of our phone call to our check in Kellie was very humble and polite. I will definitely be back! Thank you once again!

The stay was excellent, nice clean rooms, the front desk staff was super nice and helpful, and any problems that arose were taken care of immediately. The beds were super comfortable, and although the cops showed up one night, the hotel staff assured us it was a follow up to a guests problem and that nothing was wrong, made us feel very safe and comfortable with this knowledge.

Stayed a few nights here to avoid the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. The room exceeded our expectations, especially for accepting a pet in the room. We had a king jacuzzi room, and the layout was beautiful.

The staff was very nice and more than accomodating. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

My wife and our mini poodle Marley stayed here for 3 nights. We were in room 101 which opened to a porch with easy access to the grounds for our walks. Front desk folks were very friendly and resupplied our coffee and breakfast snack bags each day. The snack bags included a muffin, granola bar, apple and blueberry cookie bar - very tasty. There is a restaurant on the property but it wasn't open when we were there due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The room was very nice and I felt very clean when we checked in. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Freeport shopping and restaurant district with easy access to I-295 and Rt. 1.

We normally stay at the Best Western in Augusta, but for some reason that hotel was double the price of this one for this particular date. We were very pleased with this one in Freeport. Check-in was quick, friendly and gave helpful restaurant suggestions. The room looks like it was fairly recently redone with modern looking decor. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it even had a microwave & fridge. My only suggestion would be to give the entire place a good airing out for freshness. Thank you for taking pets.

Currently staying here for the second time visiting Freeport with my boyfriend and our dog. In this area, this has been the best deal for dog owners—affordable, clean, with a grassy dog area far from the road. Our rooms were updated, simple, and very clean- no bells and whistles. The staff has been very friendly, and the cafe with the best breakfast is within walking distance! We have really enjoyed staying here!

The only qualms I have are with a few of the dog owners who do not pick up after their dog. It is frustrating and makes us other owners look bad! I am grateful that such a place exists so I can actually take my dog on vacation. People should stop abusing this privilege.

Very pretty setting with a large grassy and pool area. Rhododendrons were blooming while we were there! The staff was very accommodating about giving us an outside room with few steps. The room was large with a large sink area and overall comfortable area.
My husband commented that the bed was like a bed is supposed to be...sheets, pillows and a blanket...he hates those heavy down type blankets/comforters! There is a popular little cafe next door that serves a great breakfast!
