Jeremy was so wonderful with my car needs. I feel like I have a brand new car. I feel the pricing was competitive in today's world. I believe I got my monies worth. The customer service alone was a great part of it.

Jeremy and Chris are great guys! I'm beyond satisfied with their strive for excellence when it came working on my vehicle. They have helped diagnose and fix a variety of problems and did so in a timely manner. I believe if I had taken my vehicle to another shop it would NOT have been as quick, or cost friendly.

Quoted me on a 2002 Chevy avalanche brake failure. Total invoice was just a few dollars cheaper than quoted. Professional and quick service. The shop has a great curb appeal, now my brake line is fixed and truck back on the road. Thank you for the great service

Great place to take your car, I took my car in the morning and by the afternoon it was done. The price was great in comparison to local mechanics in the area. Very happy, and since I used to work on cars when I was younger I'm not easily impressed. All I want is a good job fair price, And it's a plus to have it done in one day.

My husband and I had our truck towed her after another shop told us we would need a new engine for $14,000. Called Ernies for a second opinion and they quoted less so we had the truck towed there. We ended up not needing a new engine, instead ernie's fixed the problem for $700. Thank you Ernies for being honest. You've earned life long customers.

I do not ordinarily write reviews but based on our experience it is the very least I could do. My child broke down near WI/IL border (approx 350 mi from home). The car was towed to Ernie's. It was a very stressful situation to say the least, but Jeremy was very responsive and got our car in to get looked at quickly. He diagnosed a much more serious problem and identified it as a potential recall/warranty issue by the manufacturer. His recommendation was to get it to a dealer. The car was in their lot for a long holiday weekend, they spent several hours of diagnostics, AND helped me arrange a tow. For a grand total of $0! I asked what I owed them for their work it was nothing. I was in shock. I could not believe he didn't charge for the shop time he had every right to charge me for. I may never set foot in Machesney Park IL, but I will highly recommend anyone reading this to check them out. If this any indication of how they do business, I would 100% trust them for all my car repairs. Thank you!

I can’t tell you enough how happy I am with this place! I bought a 1984 Pontiac Firebird and had it in a different mechanic shop before I came to Ernie’s! I lost most of my confidence in the other place and with a car like that I didn’t know where to go! I gave Ernie’s a shot and I’m glad I did! Jeremy is a very awesome guy very knowledgeable and takes care of his customers! They are down to the point and more than fair with you! I can’t tell you how great my car is running now compared to what it was after leaving the other shop! These guys are very phenomenal! You’re missing out if you do not take your car to these guys. Needless to say as soon as I got my other car back I had my wife’s car in there right away to get some work done! They git a long-time customer here!

They were amazing from beginning to end. I called for a quote and she was so helpful and friendly. I got my van in for brake work and they found more wrong that was a danger for me to drive on it and called to let me know right away. I will definitely be going back with any other work I need to have done.

on 10/24/22 , had my car towed to this Ernie's, I'm not from this area but needed someone to look at my car I'm ole school and integrity standing on your word mean's a lot in these sorry time's it mean's a lot to me don't like shenanigans!! when it come's to my loot (money) Ernie's ,deal honesty I like that... this place is a diamond in the rough the whole staff attitude is great you know attitudes reflects leadership very professional and honesty !!

This is the best place to bring your car for repairs. They do not take advantage of their customers. They are a honest business. I have been going here for 15 years. First time I came here my jeep brake light was out, I do not know how to do this, so I asked them do you have time to fix my light, I was expecting a appt, nope he looked at it right then and there, changed the bulb, I asked what do I owe you, he said nothing..Hard to find a good honest business. If you make appt. Generally within a day depending on what has to be done it is repaired.
