Farmers Insurance - Curt Brostrom

I have been working with the Brostrom agency for over 4 years and would recommend them to my family and friends. They are extremely professional and made sure I understood my coverage. I have never had an agent take that kind of time to make sure I knew what I was paying for. Great agency and great company, they made a client/friend for life.

Been with them for 10 years, always friendly, professional, and quick to answer questions!

My husband and I have been with farmers insurance for 30 plus years at this location . Curt will help you above and beyond I highly recommend doing business here. I didn't give 5 stars because there is one person there that is very unpleasant to deal with her customer skills are very poor

Important read! As a long time customer of Farmers Insurance, I can’t even wrap my head around the experience that we had yesterday with the office of Curt Brostrom.

We purchased a lovely five acre piece of property in Roscoe, on which sits a two bedroom ranch home which is definitely a fixer upper for sure, but with huge potential. As a long time customer with Curt, by this time he should have been well aware that this is what my husband does…buys the worst property in the best neighborhood and makes it beautiful.

However, we were told that “until various improvements were made to the house, to include siding, windows, tree and brush removal” etc, that Farmers would not be able to insure our property. It was also explicitly stated that “while we may be able to find someone to cover it, the minute an agent were to go look at it, they would cancel us that very day.”

As it turns out, there were two factors that are very important to consider, number one being that we paid cash for the home, so no mortgage lender to consider, and number two, we should at the very least been offered a “vacancy endorsement” to cover it until which time we move in.

All this being said, the main point of my review is that yes we DID get coverage on the home, five minutes later, after speaking to an agent at State Farm, who couldn’t have been kinder or more professional.

On a further note, was also able to get full coverage on one of my vehicles for less than liability only through Farmers.

Bottom line, this information from Curt’s office, while ultimately being proven false, did cause us a great deal of stress being that our closing is just a few days away. Do your research people, don’t just believe what someone tells you. Could not possibly be more disappointed in Farmers Insurance, and more specifically, the office of Curt Brostrom.

Don't do it is worst insurance u will ever get no help at all and will find anyway to raise insurance even if u have the world's best driving record.save ur self the hassle.
Or save ur self from canceling the policy so u cancel it 2 weeks prior like they said to not be charged fees but guess what I got charged fees.
