Athletico Physical Therapy - Byron

I absolutely highly recommend this place to anyone needing therapy of any type. They make you feel at home and cared about.

Physical therapy is not easy but can be very rewarding if you have the desire to regain the mobility you once had. Byron and his team were absolutely great and encouraged me to meet all requirements it took to get me back on my feet! They demonstrated strong subject knowledge, compassion, confidence, and determination to help me achieve my goals! I recommend the entire Athletico team for any physical therapy needs.

My experience at this clinic has been perfect! The work accident I had in 9/2021 led me to a series of surgeries, and subsequent physical therapy. Athletico, in Byron, IL, has been outstanding! The staff is excellent at evaluating a patient, asking the necessary questions, and creating a therapy program for each patient. The patient-coordinators are very knowledeable, kind, and cordial; Joanne is the best at scheduling, & dealing with the insurance paperwork. The physical therapists are able to figure out the best treatment regimen for each patient, no matter how many bones were broken (Thank you Byron, and Heather, for putting me 'back together')! And, the therapy aides do a great job of motivating you to keep pushing, working, stretching, and they DON'T let you give up (thank you, Lana) :-) Working together, the staff make each patient feel welcome every single day you attend, and they WILL call you if you miss your appointment! :-) Lesson: they want you to heal as rapidly as able, so your quality of life can return asap. If you need physical therapy, Athletico in Byron is your best option to recover quickly, and safely. My best take-away from here is that the staff does their part as a team to help you recover. As long as you do your part in stretching, warming up, and not missing appointments, then Athletico, in Byron, is the place you should go to for your physical therapy needs. Recommended 101%.

I finished up 5 months of PT at the Byron location for dominant arm rotator cuff surgery. Everyone here was polite and very willing to accommodate my needs. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing PT. Thanks again Heather and Byron for the gift of helping people! Last but not least, Joanna was extremely helpful working with my insurance company. She was also very knowledgeable and helpful!

My experience at Byron Athletico was great! I had surgery on my shoulder for a torn bicep and labrum. Post surgery the staff at Athletico made sure I was well taken care of. Byron and Heather listened to my concerns and helped me address them to ensure my shoulder was on track to great health. The staff is very personable, knowledgeable, and makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend Athletico in Byron!

I started my Athletico Physical Therapy journey for a partial knee replacement(Patellofermoral replacement) of the left knee on June 12, 2023 and my last therapy was on August 11, 2023. Stepping into my first visit at the Bryon, Illinois location, I was greeted by a friendly, upbeat employee, Joanne, behind the front desk, who make my sessions checking in for each one, very pleasant and positive. She kept me informed about my scheduled appointments and my insurance matters. She is a great asset to this facility. I enjoyed seeing her each time I came in. My evaluation was done by my primary care therapist, Bryon, who did my in clinic evaluation. He came up with a plan of action to helped me obtain a goal I had set for myself to get the most flexion out of my left knee. I am here to say I obtained my goal of flexion of my left knee to the utmost due to his encouragements and caring nature to help me through my treatment program. I also had the privilege of working with Heather, another physical therapist there, who was excellent in guiding me through my main exercises and aiding me in accomplishing my planned goals. And I also worked with Abbey, who was finishing up her clinical hours at this location, who gave me the drive to complete my exercises and push me to excellence. Isaias and Lana, who aided the physical therapists and also aided me with getting me started on the machines and helping with my exercise routines, were most gracious and awesome to talk to and making me feel comfortable at my appointment time. To Joanne, Bryon, Heather, Abbey, Isaias and Lana, who work all so well together as a team, "You all Rock!" I will most definitely recommend this Athletico to family and friends. You all made my time there most memorable and I Loved going there each and every time!

Staff is personable, sensitive, empathetic, caring and knowledgeable in how they work together as a team to treat each individual's needs.

A huge shout out to Byron, Heather, Joanne, Ana, and Lana the Athletico team in Byron, IL. They were professional, friendly, and tremendous! I couldn’t have asked for better Physical Therapists than Byron and Heather for my first physical therapy experience. Joanne always made me feel welcome when I checked in and I absolutely loved her corny jokes off the day. Ana and Lana were very helpful with me when I was doing my exercises. I would and have already recommended this Athletico team to others! I will be back when I get my right knee done.

I came to Athletico after my discectomy in January. I was not confident in what my ability was after surgery and Byron helped boost my confidence and helped me recover to my normal. They were also understanding of my work schedule and scheduling visits. I am thankful to have such a great facility in the area. Thank you, Byron and staff. You are all great!

Progress for range of motion in my shoulder was significantly improved after therapy. Very pleased with the results.

I found Byron (the physical therapist), Joanne and their staff to be
delightful professionals. All of them were attending and competent.
I looked forward to seeing them while doing my physical therapy.

I went to Athletico in Byron after my husband had been there and had success with his therapy. The new facility was very convenient to us too. Byron and his staff were very friendly and encouraging and I progressed quickly after my partial knee replacement surgery thanks to Byron's expertise and knowing just what I needed to do to recover quickly. I would definitely go back again if I ever need to.

The staff at this clinic are very friendly. Lisa is very helpful and a pleasure to talk with. Eric is a hands on Therapist and helped me understand about Dry needling. I tell everyone I know if they need any PT this is the place to go.

Everyone there is very easy to talk with. I was able to be honest about my pain levels, they're patient, and encouraging, sometimes you get some fantastic dad jokes.... and I am so grateful for them for being a big part of my healing journey! Oh yeah, I they have the cutest doggo on certain days (dogs are always the best medicine in my book)

The Physical Therapists are very kind, caring and want you to succeed. They listen to your concerns and explain the exercises so you understand. I would recommend them for your physical therapy needs.
