Elkhart Environmental Center

What an amazing place for nature near a city. Great walking and kayak launch.

The Environmental Center is a wonderful learning hub for kids and adults alike! I moved away for a long time and it has grown and become such a lovely park for walking and meditation. I wish I could give this park 10 stars.

This was an amazing experience! To learn it was once a landfill, blew my mind! They had a project for my daughter and she built a bat house. Gorgeous views and pathways! It was a treat on our spontaneous decision to join my husband for a work trip.

It is true that this is one of the Elkhart‘s best kept secrets. I never even knew it was here until the other day! It’s a really relaxing place to walk. There were hardly any other people, and we saw wild turkeys. The trails are short, but well kept. It was very beautiful and our family had a wonderful time.

One of the better centers I have been to! Definitely a place for any nature lover to get lost in!

We came to do a pumpkin search but my question is are these normal size or tiny are they off the paths hidden or just hidden right off the path this is our first time doing this but we are curious thx .any body know ?

A wonderful city own environmental center striving to reclaim a natural setting in the heart of Elkhart.

The newly paved and well maintained paths around the environmental center with a surprising amount of scenic spots make this an awesome adventure for any nature enthusiast. Well done staff of the environmental center for the renovations of this forgotten area. I am impressed100% and am thrilled to make this my go to for bike rides.

Such a peaceful place. And I love the classes/events they put on. Getting my children knowledgeable about the environment is important to me and their events make it much more fun and educational!
