Tad's on the Rock

We had a great time tonight at Tad's on the Rock. It really is a wonderful spot, and the weather was perfect. Elaine took great care of us. The boozy slushies were delicious, and I even ate all my vegetables (olives, onions, and peppers on nachos are vegetables, right?).

Food, service, and atmosphere is great. However, a manager there named Paula, was very rude to one of her employees in front of a crowd of people. You could have easily asked them to join you somewhere else and coach them there, instead of humiliating them in front of the entire bar. I have never seen such behavior, I would be mortified to have her as a boss.
I hope she's nicer to the customers that come into this place! It's my first time here, and after seeing her behavior, I'll let everyone know not to come here !

Walleye fish fry is very good. Elaine gave us very good service out at the shack. We watched boats on the river as we ate very good food.

Food and service were amazing server was on top of everything. Sat outside by the river and it. Was alot of fun. Had chicken wrap,so good better then I s had anywhere else!

Delightful riverfront bar with great views. Fantastic fish fry - unexpected food choices, exceptional service, and a river view! Wow!

Ordered the western burger with steak fries.
Burger was good. Steak fries were great!
Server was kind and courteous.
Nice that u can eat outside by the river if you want but I was getting harrassed by flies which seem to always bother me outside

Great place with amazing burgers and a beautiful view of Rock lake. Outdoor seating available for those warm, summer days.

Ordered pizza for pick up. Bartender and gentleman behind the bar were super friendly. Pizza was amazing, but the best part... The cook wrotet a joke on the box. I left with a smile on my face, chuckling. Definitely will be back!

Right on the river! Perfect lunch of burgers and delicious chicken wings. Tad's waitstaff accommodated our granddaughter, 7 adults, and a 3-way split check. Awesome service, warm and friendly. Clean!

What a Great spot for an outdoor lunch stop! Service was excellent, very attentive time and great recommendations from our server. The outdoor ambiance and the quiet of the waterfront midweek made for a wonderfully relaxing lunch. It was very neat to see boaters dock and come up for lunch as well. The food was very tasty, chicken wonderfully moist, but a "Tad" on the pricey side for what you get ( but then what's not these days). My only criticism would be that the spinach artichoke dip was a but too thick for the chips and the chips could have been slightly more salty otherwise well worth the stop.
We are looking forward to coming back for a late lunch and some " adult slushies" later this summer.

Friday night was our first time here. We tried their deep fried cod dinner and pulled pork sandwich. The fish was good and the sizes were also good. I was disappointed that a 3-piece meal was the only option because I don't normally eat that much. The streak fries were a nice surprise and also filling. The coleslaw was not a favorite of mine, I prefer a sweet coleslaw. Although the coleslaw did appear to be homemade and I did eat it all. The pulled pork was good but the side of onion rings were under cooked and they didn't come with dipping sauce, we had to ask for that. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. The dining room was welcoming and the view of the patio and river was enjoyable. The bathrooms need a makeover though. Overall we will likely return sometime to try different menu items.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner on Tuesday and we were happy we did. We tried two of their posted specials, beef tacos and brisket sandwich. They were both delicious. The tacos were a steal at $2.50 a piece. The brisket was smoked on property by Jamie from Big Papa's BBQ. I especially loved his hot bbq sauce. We'll definitely order both again. Service was friendly, speedy, and attentive. We had the cook & chef check in with us several times on menu options & recommendations. Can't wait to go back.

Nice atmosphere. Both the inside and outside bartenders were fun to talk to. We just had drinks, but the food looks good.
