I highly recommend Northern Illinois Home Medical Supply. I dealt with Timothy Sadler. He was showing me how to use my CPAP Machine. He was a funny guy but he was also very professional. He was very easy to talk to and I felt very comfortable with him. He answered any questions or concerns about the CPAP machine. I wish all employees were like Tiny Tim! He was a great person to deal with. He definitely deserves a 10 for customer service.

I've had 5 face-to-face dealings with them over the last 5 years and a handful of phone calls. They have always been professional and courteous. There have been no issues with insurance billing and they have taken my credit card over the phone to pay my co-pay. Great service.

I was recently prescribed for oxygen by my physician. I selected No. IL. Med. Supply as my vendor. Prior to receiving my prescription I visited visited my anticipated vendor to determine if the method of my use of oxygen would satisfy my needs. The assistance I received in this was exceptional. Mrs. Diane Reed's help was exactly what I had hoped for and enabled me to discuss my needs with my doctor.

I have worked with Northern Illinois Medical for over a decade both professionally and personally. You will not get better service or professional service anywhere else in the Sauk Valley. They are experts in their field and responsive to needs. They stand behind their equipment and deliver in the worst conditions.

My dad recently had back surgery and was going to be limited to what he could do. Not knowing what we possibly could need to help make his life easier . I stopped in at nims in Sterling because of the treatment my family had received a year or so ago when my mother was dying of pancreatic cancer they treated us like family. So when I went into the store this time it was for my dad the nice lady working the floor came right up to me and asked if she could help I asked her if it was because I looked so confused she laughed and assured me it wasnt.lol I told her about my dad and his surgery and the fact that he lived alone. She started asking me question about my dad's hole house and before I knew it I had several items for him. I took all she helped me pick out to my dad's house and it was a life saver. My family can't thank the nims family enough for helping us through some really difficult times. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

Their priority is satisfaction: equipment, supplies, instruction, assistance, experience...and always delivered with a smile and understanding. The people who work here are so cordial and willing to help that it is actually a pleasant experience to do business with NIMS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

Went in looking for a waterproof picc line cover for my arm. Didn't have what I needed but Deb Vos jumped right online to help me out and ordered me one. The help was very much appreciated.

In Short: NIHMS does not provide equipment in a timely fashion, does not follow up with customers, and must be bugged to get resolution.

In Long: I was prescribed a CPAP machine on 2-22-22. The nurse warned me that it might take a little while. She faxed the order to NIHMS Sterling.

I called NIHMS to verify the fax was received, and a snippy customer service rep was stated "it would be a couple of months" and that "there is a national shortage." I understood, so I waited. And waited. I never received a call or a letter from NIHMS to apprise me of the status of my machine.

So, I finally called back, and had to leave a message for the person in charge of CPAP machines. ITM, I called Medicare to inquire about this problem, and the Medicare rep suggested I call Lynn Care in Rock Falls.

I was able to speak with a rep at Lynn Care right away, and she indicated I could get one in the next few weeks!

I called NIHMS to let them know to cancel my 4-month old order. The rep, Rick, was professional and apologetic, but did use the "there is a national shortage" excuse again.

Bottom Line: There are other medical supply companies around.

Cant tell you how angry I am. I was billed by NIHMS after they claimed my insurance wouldn't pay. My invoice was from 5 months before and she told me the insurance would not ever respond to them. I called my insurance only to find out they only were billed for the first month. I asked the rude lady who questioned if I had enough money to pay, if it was billed correctly since I have 2 insurances, and she told me I had to figure it out myself. She was rude and wouldn't help at all. Some people should not be in customer service or billing at all. Im lucky I have such good insurance who is willing to stand up to this company. Makes me wonder how many other people they have screwed over and treated like dirt.

I wanted to purchase a pair of compression socks for my 84 year old friend. The Same Style She purchased previously, except she wants a large so she can get them on by herself. The mediums are too small.
This company won't sell her the large because they said she needs the mediums! What the....?? They recommended we could go on line and buy these, but they wouldn't let me buy them!! So I found them on Amazon, have them shipped directly to my friend. What a strange way to turn away good business!! You want people to shop locally?? We tried....twice!

I was treated very badly by this company over a lost package that was mailed to me from them. I never received the package even though they have an e-mail saying I received it I DID NOT! So I got in argument with Melissa and she said I am no longer a customer of there company just like that she won't ever let me buy anything from them. WHAT THE over a lost package. Should they get paid from my insurance company if I did't receive package NO!! So I finally got the tracking number my daughter got it for me, and I am trying to track it. I do hope they find it. But people I'm telling you if one thing goes wrong this company will turn there back on you in a new york minute.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. Their customer service is absolutely non-existant. They've fouled up my insurance paperwork so much now that it took me 4 months to get my CPAP machine, and even then tried to give me a used machine with 500+ hours on it. Will never go back to this company for any reason. Back to Lincare, at least they didn't try to scam me.

Wow They won't accept Medicaid , Medicare or Medicard any card and Molina any insurance for disability handicap they want money Wow Over priced greedy limited choices they won't take insurance or Medicare only they take insurance that pays lots of money ,/ you can get same stuff 10 times cheaper in Amazon for sure they sell 60 plus dollars for one thing Amazon have same thing for 14 dollars

Don't even know where to start. Terrible service and the lady had a very bad attitude. You wonder how they've stayed in business treating patients like dirt. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
