Staff is amazing. Eavesdropped on calls to the reference desk. They go out of their way to track down information. Ask them anything, literally ANYTHING. Remodeled reading room with power outlets attached to the side of tables. Miss the coffee shop, but I found a book on Pink Floyd promently displayed next to a comfy chair and took the afternoon off.

Lovely library and a very helpful staff! Always clean and they have a nice variety of areas to choose from, from the Kids World to the Computer Lab to the Quiet Areas, you won’t be disappointed. I also appreciate that you can reserve a personal room. Whether you’re looking for a book, requesting one from another library through their network or using Libby, the staff is always so helpful!

One of the best Libraries in the Region
Content wise . People are ultra competitive as customers however some staff are warm and friendly. They had a sprinkler bust the other day

Their service is amazing. Elias, who was in charge of the reception, was so kind and willing to help. I needed to use the scanner and he helped me to understand how to use it. At the end, I tried to give him a tip and pay for the service, but he didn't accept, saying that, he is just doing his work and the use of the scanner is free.

I definitely recommend this place.

I’ve not lived in Norridge since 2021, but this is one of the places I miss most in the area. I always had a reason to walk a mile to and from the library. I was able to get exercise in and read books. I hope one day I can move back to Norridge/Harwood Heights and continue visiting this library.

The staff are nice, it’s a really large library with a large selection of books, movies, music and video games (our local library has a much smaller selection and not a single video game to borrow) and it’s just an excellent place to hang out when you have nothing else going on.

I have been to this library in Harwood Heights for many years, ever since my kids were very young. The staff is very, very prompt, diligent and friendly. The children's section works great for them with a wide selection of materials. Books and movies are in abundance. Their Blue Ray catalog is growing.

The best library around for whole family entertainment needs.
You can find different activities for each of your family members.
Read books, barrow movies, games, music 💿, participate in different crafts activities, and licensing for educational webinars.

My local library. Everyone is so helpful all the time. They have kids activities every week and my five years old daughter doing the activity by herself.

I hadn't been to the library for some time and had some questions about renting books to read on my iPad. Stacy was so very helpful - this library has a great staff!

The major plus point according to me is the wide selection of books which spans across fields and age groups.

The quiet room immensely helps students.

Staff is friendly and quite helpful.

Computers available too.

A small bakery is present inside the campus if you're hungry.

Eisenhower library is the hub for the communities of Harwood Heights & Norridge, as well as having a reciprocal borrowing program with Chicago Public Library card holders (and possibly other communities). The diverse events & programs that are offered range from traditional book clubs to unique experiences in art, travel, crafts, exercise and more. The library staff are helpful and knowledgeable. There are study rooms for tutoring or group study sessions. The Children’s department is lively and engaging because it fosters reading, listening, playing, talking, sharing, discussing, etc ... about the interests of children among and between children and adults. It is separated by glass and doors and located off the main lobby; where many people gather in a warm and welcoming environment. There are quiet spaces in the adult sections. Patrons can bring ear plugs or headphones if they are sensitive to noise in public areas. I believe the days are gone of librarians “shhhing” the patrons. I am grateful for this positive hard-working community resource.

This might be the best library I've ever been to. Everyone is helpful and friendly, they have awesome activities, the resources (computers and whatnot) are up-to-date. I wish they had more parking because the lot is always full, but that just shows how much people love this place.

They have a decent selection on the shelf and, of course, access to other books throughout the county. The staff is very helpful and it really is one of my very favorite libraries
