Fairfield Illinois Secretary of State Facility

Going here USED to be about as enjoyable as a trip to a funeral home. There used to be a particular son of a former Sec of State who worked there and he made the place downright awful with his attitude.

But I must say their staff in particular has improved greatly. My most recent visits have been met with decency and courtesy.

The women there today were very friendly and helpful. I had more than one thing that I needed to take care of and was finished with all of it in 15 minutes. Great experience. Thank you so much. Special thanks to Ronda, you were great!

What a transformation in culture since my last visit. A cheerful greeting, pleasant service, and no complaints about my ignorance of bureaucratic rules.

We have moved from Connecticut to Illinois changing our license and registration, everyone at this DMV was awesome went above and beyond the call of duty. What a pleasure.

Super busy...possibly because they were closed Friday, because of June 19th and the governor ordered all state facilities to close, with very short notice.

Clerk was as helpful as she could be, but no one had any explanation why I could not renew my sticker. Paid $70 for something but was told it didnt help my situation. In the end, all they could do was give me a phone number to call.

Rude employees that take no accountability for their actions or attitudes and use their lack of knowledge as an excuse to be rude and not do their jobs. As someone that worked with the public for 20+ years, if I treated people that came into my business the way they treated me, the business would fail. The only reason this place is still open is because it's a necessary state facility, but the staff needs a complete overhaul, including management.
