Dr. Linus U. Anukwu, MD

I have managed conditions for years and went to Dr Linus when i relocated to Champaign. He is the first doctor I have ever had who has actually paid attention to my medical history and immediately began searching for the underlying issue that is causing multiple, chronic, symptoms. He doesn't believe in managing symptoms, he looks for the cause. Perhaps he is taking advantage of insurance claims, but I am so impressed by the fact that he sincerely cares and is pro-active, that I take it in stride.
*Note that he has an odd sense of humor that might come across as abrasive, but it is just his attempt to make you smile.

I was under Dr. Ankuwu's care for a year. He is very friendly, he takes his time and was attentive and thourough. Dr. Ankuwu always has a smile on his face and happy. I also had him before to assist with delivery of my last child 11 years ago, he was very respectful, reliable, has a great bedside manner, overall excellent care.

My family and I received excellent care from Dr. Anukwu. Unfortunately, we moved out of state. Dr. Anukwu diagnosed my daughter's lime disease & my thyroid problem. We think Dr. Anukwu is outstanding !!!!

I finally mustered up enough courage to seek mental care but Dr. Linus was condescending, ridiculed me (in a sense), and was impatient/ did not care to listen to me. All he did was throw medication at me(and he started me on a super high dose right off the bat). I never got the follow up call/information for support group/workshop. It has been a decade since and I will never have the courage again to put myself out there to seek mental care. If I kill myself one day, I hope he knows he helped it happen.

This man gave my husband completely incompetent treatment. And if he had followed it, my husbamd would be dead today.

And he did this in front of a student. A GP shouldn't be treating people with special conditions and neither should he be conducting himself as though he is an internist or specialist in endocronology.

Why is he even still allowed to practice medicine here? If my husband had taken this advice, he would have died from a simple drug interaction.

DO NOT use this man as your primary care physician. He refuses to look at more than one issue in a single appointment, making you schedule separate appointments for each issue. And even then he only spends the bare minimum amount of time with each issue. His office has lost X-rays before. He's walked out on me before telling me what to do about an injured finger. I needed a form signed by him so I could get my prescription filled. After telling me he'd "do me a favor" by signing it the next time I came in to get my prescription refilled, when I came back he told me I'd have to schedule yet another appointment just for him to sign that form. He obviously only cares about raking in the insurance payments from seeing his patients and not about actually helping them.

The most arrogant man I have ever meet. He talks down to his patients as well as staff his staff. If zero stars was a choice that would be mine. He should stay in Africa!!

The receptionist yelled in my ear, after I politely told her I couldn’t hear her over the phone. This is completely unprofessional, I would never be a patient here

The front desk receptionist’s were rude, I stopped going to the office and switched doctors for this reason.
