Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They cut glass and fix window screens within walking distance of my home. Such a small store that’s filled with so much valuable stuff. A real hardware store!

So many options for what looks like a small store. Super helpful with figuring out what you need and some advice on projects. I love coming here. They’re way better than big stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s!!

I luv ace hardware. Now a days we forget they exist cause we have homedepot, lowes etc. We forget how great these ace hardwares are. I was going to make keys to my new apt i went to home depot on kimball looking for the key machine they have on the floor a worker tells me they dont have one that they do the keys at 3.59 i believe, mind u i needed 10 keys 5 sets of 2 my kids have to have keys to my apt and family i said thats to much do u have a key machine where we do it ourselves she than told me theres one outside somewhere but its a dollar more i was so surprised i left. I than remembered i seen an ace on milwaukee at one point went there the keys were 1.79 i also needed a broom and a few other things luv it. The gentlemen that was there was very helpful and kind and gave me the rings for the keys at no charge i will be shopoing a lot more there. Thank u

Good old fashioned hardware store. They have all the same stuff big stores have but a lot more friendly

Needed something obscure on a honey-do list and got to the store after it had already closed on a Sunday and an associate happened to be out front in their truck. They saw me try to open the door and got out and allowed me to get what I needed. Hard to find that kind of customer service these days and it truly saved me a ton of time on my day off. Thank you.

I just had the pleasure of working with Dennis at this amazing true value. He is truly one of kind in his knowledge and exceptional customer service. I was searching for a cylinder lock for my sliding patio door that I could not find at Home Depot Lowe’s or menards. I showed Dennis and he spent 10 minutes searching the catalog trying to find this unique lock and sure enough he did! He even took the additional step to punch out the lock opening in the handle. So impressed and appreciative. If you live in portage park and need some hardware look no where else.

I went to every store in the area looking for camping sized propane tanks and this place had them! I love supporting this business. Please check them out before going to Walmart!

Great service, huge selection for such a small place. Process lasted were reasonable and they have sale items. It's nice to have this place in the neighborhood. I like that they have some every day items like laundry detergent as well. A true neighborhood gem.

love the old style service....i needed 2 storm windows repaired..i walked in, a nice gentleman asked what i needed, i gave him my windows and he took my name and number and wrote it on a piece of tape that he attached to the windows. then he says it'll be ready Tuesday or Wednesday. he told me to give him a call wed. i called wed and said they were done. fully functional and looking good and strong....all for$20...great deal...I've lived in the city of Chicago for 55yrs and thank God that these type of old school businesses are still around...GREAT PLACE!!!!!

Nice small place, but it's packed with items. That's a good thing, there's plenty of selection and it's much closer to me than any other hardware store. The place has character and the guy who runs it is cool.

Best place to get anything done that I'm doing for the first time. They should do YouTube videos because they can explain the use of anything they sell. If you want to buy hardware and have questions DONT GO TO A BIG BOX STORE! GO HERE!!

They are very helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't have something you are looking for they will do their best to get it into the store for you quickly. I have had nothing but good experiences here.
